Ur lucky the doc put me outta work for 2 weeks. I can at least make this friday meeting. If they are always friday I won’t make anymore. Work hours 3pm-12am
They had a team design the pc interface and a completely seperate team design the x360 interface.
From all reports the PC version is more accessible but both are good.
This isn’t a port to console or a port to PC. It was designed specifically for each system individually.
I personally think the p90 would be the most ‘newb friendly’ but beyond that I can’t really say. I prefer the pump over any other gun and I’ve been playing cs/css for a long time. Simply put, I think its the ability the player has with the weapon that *edited*es someone off more than the player being new to the game and getting a few ‘spray kills’ in the process of learning
.A skilled player with the cp90 would naturally be more effective with any weapon over a person who just started playing the game

Nice to see new faces… err.. screen names? Anywho, welcome aboard and you definitely gotta get into Counter-Strike Source ^^…
If nothing else, buy Bioshock… because, well, its gonna be kick *edited*..
Other then that I’m just the guy who spends way too much time finding every bit of info on all games not released yet.

.Dust is a good map. Removing it would ultimately suck. Not a perfect map, mind you, but it is still one of my favorites even including its flaws.

Ever since I spent those first 5 days racing to 70 I haven’t been able to really ‘play’ WoW a lot… For me, MMO’s lose their flavor after the first xpac simply because you realize that all that time spent at that last max level was fruitless (to an extent). If all the time I spent at 60 was a blast of fun, I might have a different opinion. However, I really did spent a lot of hours raiding, bored out of my mind, just to get that next piece of tier 1/2/3… Regardless, great game overall and I’ll never say otherwise!
Maybe Age of Conan will satiate my desire for a new mmo this fall

Brawl, The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, Lost Odyssey, Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, Warhawk, Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground, Half-Life 2: The Orange Box, Conan, Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation, EA Playground, Clive Barker’s Jericho, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, Need for Speed ProStreet, Assassin’s Creed, Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures, The Simpsons Game, Turning Point: Fall of Liberty, Virtua Fighter 5, TimeShift, Mercenaries 2: World in Flames, World in Conflict, Beowulf, Army of Two, Brothers In Arms Hell’s Highway, Rayman Raving Rabbids 2, SimCity Societies, Rock Band, Universe at War: Earth Assault, God of War: Chains of Olympus, Devil May Cry 4, and Unreal Tournament 3.

!It is generally a good idea to keep the teams balanced. However, I also believe that switching people ‘just because one team is winning’ is a pretty lame excuse for switching players around.
I personally only balance when one team doesn’t have enough players OR there is a clear clan stack going on.
The idea that a team has won 5 rounds and lost 0 rounds can’t, in and of itself, justify a team balance. There needs to be something ‘wrong’ that the players on the winning team are doing (namely clan stacking) in order to really have a good reason for switching people. In many cases I find that just switching 1 or 2 people can ruin the winning teams formula and simply flip flop which side ‘seems’ overpowered
.That being said, I will on occasion switch people that I know are excellent players who could help out the losing team.
Again, it is a subjective argument. Nobody likes being on the losing team. If the circumstances seem appropriate, I will balance the teams. Ultimately, it is each individual admins choice.

I still feel it is at least worth our clubs attention as it approaches release.
World in Conflict may be a great game to have at a LAN… Imagine a RTS that you can tourney like CS/CSS.
8 on 8 games, drop in / drop out server style.
No resource management.
Basically you get in, you select your class (infantry, armor, air, support), and you pick whatever units you can get out of 5000 or so points. For example: You are armor, 2 heavy tanks cost 3000 points, 2 medium tanks cost 2000, and 2 light tanks cost 1000. (Points aren’t accurate representation of game numbers). So u can rush with 8 small tanks or get the big boys that pack more punch but have less numbers.
Tactics are a big part of the game. The more units you kill or objectives you hold/fortify the more (TAC) points you accumulate. Through this accumulation you are entitled to a plethora of awesome abilities. My favorite is the nuke but you have bombs, troop drops, tank drops, bigger bombs, tactical bombs (for blowing bridges out), all sorts of artillery, etc…
It really would be an awesome game to LAN / host on the server. In beta right now and I am definitely buying this one. As far as the problem with RTS games lasting the entirety of a LAN. This is one RTS game that could easily be hosted in a decent time slot. It will support DX10 if you got the rig but thus far the results are negligible at best when compared to DX9.
(Game runs perfect on my 256mb 7900GT. DX9. 2gb RAM. 3.2ghz Pentium D). Thats with high settings and a little of the extreme.
