Actually map voting is doing the exact opposite of what Kuros and gxti were worried/*edited*ing about. All the time I’ve played on the server with voting enabled I’ve seen D2 get voted in once and the rest of the times while it was in there I watched people vote for Piranesi, Prodigy, Militia, Compound (WTF ARE PEOPLE THINKING, COMPOUND?!?!), etc. Throwing custom maps into the mix/maplist also is helping reduce the amount of times maps like D2, Office, etc get put into the vote, and people are liking it! I mean, people voted for that new Italy over maps like Aztec, D2, Office, etc.
Naturally Ventrilo is better, it uses a codec that is far superior to Speex (what we’re using now). I’ve been using Vent for years now for CS/WoW/AoE/etc. We should get Ellaine, etc into the WCU Vent ^_~. Then again, I haven’t even connected once to the WCU Vent yet, blah.
The difference in CS from the old codec (miles, wtf? Who names a codec miles?) is tremendous though, it practically is crystal clear.
I played it when it first came out for the PC. I played online and everything, I wasn’t impressed and didn’t like it at all.
Halo online just gets old extremely fast in my book, with consoles its too hard to prevent people from exploiting left and right or being complete *edited*s. There is no control over the game and what other people do. If someone is exploiting a map glitch or is doing something that doesn’t ever seem possible or something that wasn’t ever intended for them to do then it ruins the fun.
Halo for the PC was better with this but it lacked a lot of support that it should have gotten, the controls were shoddy, and it just overall was bad despite having support from CAL and other tournaments/leagues.
Good players don’t get banned, ghosters and hackers do. Watching your demos it was apparent that you were ghosting as there was no sight visible to you nor was there sound for you to hear. Some can base it on “luck” but one doesn’t get “lucky” as often as you did.
I cannot speak for the rest of the admins but concerning my “skill” and you saying that I suck, I gladly will challenge you to bring your “A” team and scrim against my team I played with in CAL-M, we’ll show you how to play.
