however i dont understand the entire “points” system…
seems like if you play FY_ maps you can easly gain a ton of points within 1hr….
each activity, say plant the bomb, rescue a hostage, etc. is a set number of points. then there’s killing people. first there is a point modifier by weapon, so that say the knife is worth more than the awp. then that is used as a scalar on some pointage based on the difference of the collective points of your target, and your collective points, so that a noob gets mad points for killing, say, Fascist|Flakes. still, if you go on rampages and live to tell the tale, your score goes up one way or another, it’s just faster if you do it right. that’s all i know
oh, and you lose points every time someone kills you
Earlier tonight I had a 2.39 KDR, 48% headshot, 28% accuracy, how many points did I get? -167 and 3 positions. This system is stalinist.
This is just my take on the ranking system. If you don’t care, don’t read, I’m simply bored and feel like typing about something
.I find the system to be rather annoying. Half of the time that I play I find myself pitted against a decent new player to our server who is skilled but not necessarily better than me and I drop 1-10 places simply because they are new and gain points exponentially faster than I. Of course most poeple would say ‘don’t die’ but really, when you kill 20 people and die 5 times and come out with -points and -positions there is something wrong. Just because a player doesn’t have a lot of points doesn’t mean that they aren’t skilled but with this system it does mean u get less points and they get tons. In most ranking systems it would seem to me that high ranked players could take high ranked positions while low ranked players would have to work their way up to the high ranks to start taking those posistions.
For example: Ranks 1-100 or 1-50 get normal points for killing eachother and less for killing people below that rank. Ranks 101+ (In any brackets desired) get normal points for their bracket and less for anything outside that bracket. Just because rank 3000 kills rank 1 doesn’t mean rank 1 should lose 200 points. Rank 3000 has to climb the ladder before having the pleasure of taking that seat. (This is simply my opinion. Kinda like boxing where you can’t face #1 until u go thru the rest).
This system is what I would consider a more fair way of ranking (I doubt this system even exists but it would be nice if it did).
I believe it would also require a monthly reset just to keep things fun and interesting. Having a chance at #1 each month seems more entertaining that trying to reach #1 whose been #1 for three months. Even on our current system, monthly resets would keep the server more interesting and dynamic. Seeing the same people with huge amounts of points in the top10 for three to four months becomes stagnant imo.

Honestly I think the current ranking sucks but that is simply my opinion and I haven’t experienced many source ranking mods so I can’t compare. I do remember enjoying psychostats for regular CS but that was ages ago.
Ranks mean absolutely nothing. They are there for having fun with and nothing more. If you lose 3434 positions get over it. That crap happens to me all the time. I can go 40-10 on SK and lose points.
Yep! I love getting killed by newcomers for 25 points EASY on Scoutz. Its awesome

exactly Jagr`. I just use the points as an illustration to say holy-bishaznat-that-round-went-insanely-well. All that on a 0.6 K:D ratio…
but yeah, play the game for fun, don’t go stats hunting coz it saps the server of its fun. But when you get lucky (and I mean I got really really lucky) they good for bragging rights
Now, if you want to do what I did, here’s how it goes: especially on scoutzknivez coz it’s quick, but about any map really –
any way possible, run crazy fast in all the way behind the enemy, especially on sniper / awp maps. then bust out the knife and run in behind the enemy while they awping and stabs away. if they catch ya, well, bust out the para or something. That’s always fun. And lastly, if things get really hairy, do the craziest thing I do – expect to die, but grab a HE grenade and pull the pin before you even leave spawn, and keep it pulled and charge the enemy. you’d be surprised, every now and then you’ll get someone
And the biggest two lessons of all:
1. NEVER STOP RUSHING UNTIL YOU ARE ALL THE WAY THERE. i.e. right at doors so you can take a break to awp people 6 feet from you. this means not only you, but all the people following you, will be dead shortly.
2. DON’T CAMP SPAWN ON SCOUTZKNIVEZ. if you’re going to camp spawn, camp their spawn.
And it only happens to Kuros so naturally it isn’t a 10 ft knife but actually someone’s 10 ft penis which is attracted to him and what he loves.
“Epic” … I do not think that word means what you think it means. 200 is awesome. OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND would be epic.
Hahaha, I got *edited*ed that I kept getting raped by noobs on the server and that I lost my number 1 so I’ve been intentionally killing myself and losing points to get some of them back
Check it out, i’m at like 1500 points again ^^ Part of my scheme involves using only weapons with low point modifiers, awps and such… soooooooooo fun
