Definitely. I’m gonna jack my friends second guitar for some co-op and face off action. As I side note, I have purchased all downloadable tracks.
Well so far, I enjoy it very much so. With 4 different groups of people (Norn, Dwarves, Asura, and the Ebon Vanguard) the gameplay is very open and you get to choose which path you want to take. Also, the addition of the Hall of Monuments is nice. I just got to get stuff to put in there now. I definitely want to see what new items and armors are available. And evidentally some of the new skills improve current builds, so I definitely want to play around with those.
I just know that Madden is severely flawed to the point where you only pick 3 plays and audible from there. I haven’t heard that about the most recent set of Madden games, but I know that was the way in the past. A lot of the game is controlled by AI since you only control 1 out of 11 players at a time. So the AI behaves to a set pattern. I personally don’t care for the Madden series since it’s essentially the same game that it always has been as far as gameplay goes. I’m not against having it at LANs though. But yeah, I had the same problems about picking plays, but now I make more knowledgable decisions in picking whether to run or pass as well as what kind of defense to run.
I’m in the process of working things out now. I will have fliers up as well as converse with the marketing director since he’ll be helping me out. Hopefully I can get some fliers up next week or weekend.
Yeah. A big issue is TVs. I’m depending on our community to bring TVs. And any sound proofing walls and all that to segregate the Guitar Hero will be nice, as well as the rest of the consoles. I just need to see what I have available and I’ll work with that.
Well, I’m hoping to do some organized League like play for Madden during the console nights, mini-LANs, etc. I don’t want to throw another tournament in, because we’ve got 4 or 5 now and I really don’t know how well that alone will work. Hopefully, if I can get some fliers posted and people interested, I’ll start up a league. As well as do some research on common and normal settings. What could happen, is that most of the matches be played outside of the LAN, then have semi-finals etc at the LAN. We’ll see.
With the exception of Guild Wars: Eye of the North, each of the others is a separate campaign that is independent of the others. Each has their own full skill sets, items, armors, storyline, and individual features.
Prophecies – Pros: A little bit longer story-line, takes times to develop character, get skills as quest rewards.
Cons: Only 6 professions (Warrior, Ranger, Monk, Necromancer, Elementalist, Mesmer). Default henchmen. Fewer “Unique items” (Or so it seems).
Nightfall – Pros: Heroes (Customizable NPC Henchmen), Rich environment, Buried Treasure, 6 Prophecies professions + Paragon and Dervish. Storyline Choices.
Cons: Lots of Running. Having to complete story to go back to certain areas. Quests/Missions w/ Required Heroes.
Like I said, Eye of the North (which comes out next weekend) does require that you have one chapter installed and it doesn’t matter which one.
Awesome. I recommend either Nightfall or Prophecies (the original campaign). I’ll be willing to help you guys out in any way possible. Zach (Caboose) will probably do so too.
Since they are WCU students, we should keep them. I just encourage those who have Guild Wars to log in.
So yeah.. this thread kinda faded fast. But it is necessary. Also looking for input from any new active console players.
Eh.. the Demo was pretty, but it didn’t peak my interests. Nice concepts and all, just didn’t made me feel like I had to go buy it. But very very pretty.
Yeah. I mainly play FPS on my 360, but I do have Viva Pinata (a game my girlfriend likes) and I will be getting Guitar Hero. A good number of people do like playing GH at the LANs too. Anyways, be sure to come to the meeting and introduce yourself there and meet us before the big LAN.
Awesome. Yeah. What games do you play? If you’re a console kinda guy (or your roommate is or you have a bunch of friends that are), let me know. I’m (most likely) going to be the console council leader this year, so you’ll get to know me well at the LANs. And hey, if you aren’t, invite any of your friends that are. Feel free to post in any of the forums and contribute to the community.

Yeah. Well supposedly last year all RA applicants were informed that they wouldn’t necessarily be entitled to their own rooms due to overcrowding in the dorms.
