Hm.. some ideas to promote the community as whole..

 

like at LAN, make an announcement about the WoW and GW Guilds and who to contact if they want to join.

 

Also, promoting the forums.. make a small flier to hand out to attendees, mention it so often during the LAN. (Wearing club shirt at LAN will help as well)

 

And whatever ideas we can employ.. hopefully more suggestions can come up during the actual meeting.

Halo’s awesome.. but Shadowrun is a good game to mix it up a little after you’ve played Halo for 3 years.

I’ll say that the elves are a tad unbalanced because of that.. but lately I’ve found a way to overcome that.

 

Troll + Wired Reflexes + Katana. *edited*es go down in two hits.. Plus you can block their gunfire and katana attacks. Heh heh.

 

Did that last night to some guy.. and all I said was “MORE STRENGTH MUTHA F****!” My team busted out laughing.

And yeah. I bought it. The addition of races and the ability to use all of the spells/techs makes the game a whole lot better.

I know it’s an old idea.. but.. finding means to attract LAN go’ers to the forums and active in the club. We have a ton of people to show up to the LANs, but they don’t voice opinions or anything. So any ideas to increase club activity and public voice. (Such as, handing out flyers at LANs encouraging players to go to the forums and attend meetings.

 

If I get the console council leader position, I’ll do my part for at least making speeches for tournies and what not.

 

Also… console-based sponsorships need to be addressed.

Nightfall.

 

1) Professions are better IMO. Paragons make great characters for party support with their chants, shouts, etc. Dervishes are awesome melee characters especially with their enchantments, form elites, and scythe skills.

 

2) Better storyline. The storyline in Factions felt rather empty and the whole thing felt rather tiring and annoying.

 

3) Heroes – Only in Nightfall. You get up to 3 henchmen to use in your party at any time in any campaign. And these henchmen you can customize their armor, weapons, skills, and even their approach (aggressive, guard, or passive). And you can even dictate their skill use if you choose.

 

4) Factions is primarily a PvP chapter. Lacking in PvE. If you need a green item from the campaign, let me know.

Nightfall is good, don’t get me wrong. I just hate hitting max level in less than 3 days of play. In Prophecies, you had to work for it.

 

I’m waiting to see what they put in this new expansion though.

The only other thing I could suggest is see if some developer would be willing to give us a copy a game for free. you know.. play it at the tourney or whatever get exposure. and winner gets a copy.
