Thought i would start a new thread to get people attention about the new contest and $30 cash prize
We would like a design to be printed for a club shirt. for those of you that are creative.
Rules: (more like guidelines, so fill free to think outside the box)
–School Colors
–Nothing copyrighted
–No curse/swear words
–website url
–club or school logo
–High quality (these will be printed)
–keep it original and fun, somethings that stands out and will be fun to wear that will also attract current students to the club.[/size]
Fill free to comment on other peoples designs, I will post the entries at the top (below this post)
disclaimer: if we don’t get enoulf interest, or the designs are terrible, we will hold off until next semester. Otherwise we will be voting for design that will be printed at the next meeting or online, pending time.

Also, NoDice, you might want to add something to your list of guidelines.
**Keep the number of colors you use to a minimum if you can. The more colors you use, the more the shirts will cost to print.

All righty. Here are my designs. Left side is front, right side is back. And quick alterations in colors/fonts throughout all the designs can easily be redone. Just 3 colors with various designs. 6 total. Enjoy.

Granted, I made that idea for you guys, I would like to make this comment.
If you want a shirt to catch the eye of everyone and let it mean something to them and something they completely understand, then we need to steer away from inside jokes. Plus it doesn’t help that part, or maybe even most of the community doesn’t completely get it or understand it.
We need to keep that in mind whenever we make the final vote.

What gaming term isn’t an inside joke! >.< I understand what you mean though.
Yeah. I meant specifically to the club itself. Obviously. Plus, note the guideline, “attract others to the club”. Like I said.. just something to keep in mind
Personally I think the shirts should be purple or white, not black, to stand out more. I like the cheater free society one, although I do agree that we need something a bit more universal.

Purple would be better as far as standing out goes, white is as bad as black in that regard. Plus white gets offwhite quickly and is harder to keep clean since it has a logo on it (can’t bleach it).

Black makes the Purple cat logo stand out better. It also helps the gold text stand out. White is still horrible for a shirt due to its lack of style and inability to be effectively clean (it won’t last long). Imagine the first LAN and all that pizza, booo. Second LAN all the shirts are grease stained or off white… Yeah, bad juju.
Agreed- shirts should prolly be black or purple.

A couple more designs I just made. Same things apply. Easy alterations can be done before final approval (such as font/color/orientation changes). And feel free to comment / contact me on AIM @ IamOhMalley.

And it needs to be purple. Not black, not white but purple.
I really like the last one. I do think that all text should be gold (or at least one color or the other) though. Just my opinion
