you did not agree with my idea, nor did you disagree with it, it was overlooked so it took me 3 times to post it until i got a response at all. whats a man supposed to do?

I didn’t reply to anyone, I was watching to see how the discussion on the topic went. I wasn’t ignoring anybody, I was trying to gauge opinion on the topic.

You can’t objectively weigh opinions if you’re in the middle of the debate.

Because I don’t agree with the idea means your posts are ignored? I’m sorry I really don’t understand. Just because you post an idea doesn’t mean I HAVE to implement it. If that’s how it’s supposed to work let me know, I’ll go spam the TF2 section…

couldn’t these guys just buy a sub from the russians? seriously…it’s not like the drug kingpins are short on cash, or drugs which i’ve heard could double as cash, a nuclear submarine and a reasonably competent crew, possibly also acquire via russia, would make drug running so easy.

I lol at the thought of a Russian sub in US waters. We can track heat signatures of nuclear subs with satallites when they are docked so using them would raise a lot of eyebrows. The US claims dominance over waters within a certain radius of US territory. It used to be like 3 miles but after 9/11 it got increased by quite a bit. Idk what it is now, 20 miles I believe.

    Btw Urban, Colombia isn’t a Mexican city/port/shore/territory.

How about if I just added in a !noblock command for players to type in that would re-flag them and then turn itself back off after say 5 more seconds?

The abuse potential of this is the same as the teleport. I won’t enable something I know will get abused.

If a noob blocks the door, they get shot and die. If a noob sticks to you, you AND the noob die. Let’s see how bad this reversion is before blasting it, I don’t remember blocking being as critical factor as talent.

Please tell me you aren’t adding 1000/(1*Nike)…

Tigerdirect = epic fail. Anyone who still buys from them doesn’t compare what they got to what the picture shows as the real part and the part on their website rarely look anywhere close to the same.

The last video card I ordered from Tiger was supposed to have a fan on it, instead I got a Geforce 6600 with a passive heatsink the size of the card. Tiger refused to take it back, stating I got the same part I ordered. The last motherboard I ordered was supposed to have raid and showed 4 PATA ports in the picture, the board I got didn’t quite have that many. Same responce from customer support.

Its not dead, it will be back full in a few weeks. Laf at people who think its dying. I am always humored by CSS players that have been saying 1.6 is dying or is going to die. Its like they wish we were all forced to play CSS. Maybe they get lonely. I guess this is why people are baffled when it is so hard to populate servers built on new platforms like the hl2 and orange box engine.

Anyway laf at this joke of a thread.

U.S. officials say traffickers use the vessels to carry about 32 percent of the cocaine moved by water from South America to the U.S.

The US has a unique solution to this sort of problem, one we discovered a century ago called “Torpedoes”. These “Torpedoes” have the ability to move, all by themselves, towards a target and can typically destroy it.

The one exception is large, heavily armored ships which may take an “assload” of firepower to sink. For all intents and purposes we can assume with a fair degree of certainty that said Columbian navy vessels do not possess the armor to survive more than a single spitwad hit from an American naval vessel, up to and including the Rowboat Class.

    /Sarcasm

If you didn’t get it from my post, I think we should have sent one of our own submarines after it and sunk it.

Btw, there is another group that goes by {TAG} and has a kick arse CSS Gungame server.

Unlike other copies, this group wasn’t created to imitate or tarnish the real |TAG|=> as others have done in the past.

Games DO die and no matter what you change you can’t save them. CS16 has been sucking the life out of people for 12 years now, maybe it’s just its time to die?

Has anyone looked at CS from a broader prospective to see if ours is the only one that just dried up? Check the non-Valve gameplay stats (like Xfire) and you’ll notice CS isn’t anywhere near the top and is far below CSS.

I lost all 1.6 stuff from when i ran it years back.

Off Topic, if any of our servers are running good now.. it might be a good time to save all files/settings and archive them so this does not happen again.

To my knowledge everything is working fine, everythings been working fine except CS16 (lol?). As to the configs, they were completely rebuilt when Tron was reformatted. There should still be a backup of the pre-format configs on multiple drives but it’s definately something to double check.

This is just my theory, let me know what you think how our “environment” is.

If jrb is the typical player on there I think it’s fare to say it’s own playerbase killed it.

Do we still have the rotation and config from this time last year? If so can we implement it? Idk what’s wrong with the current config but we know that one worked well.

So a $12,000 server on an OC-12 line is too laggy for you. I guess we could go buy a dual-quadcore system but that’ll lag too right? Since it’s Windows Server 2003 x64 Enterprise, why wouldn’t it lag? Why we’re at it we can upgrade to 10 stripped 15k RPM SCSI320s, surely that’ll be fast enough and 16GB of ram isn’t enough, we need to go 128GB.

You do realize that our server well exceeds that you said to go buy, right? And the CSS server, which has been 20+/28 the past few weeks, hasn’t had any registry complaints. Neither has the TF2 server when it’s full. So games that require more power have had less complaints about lag, what does that tell you?

    232648936.png

That’s from the dorms which have a much smaller alotment of bandwidth than the datacenter.

    GTFO, STFU, or actually help.
