What is TAG?

I’m sure I missed it while being away, but a lot of posts reference the TAG servers. Whose are they, and don’t say TAG. Is it something that wcu regs are up to? WCU is my only server in favs, so if it is an off-shoot of wcu or semi-related, i would like to check them out.

TAG is another server group that our CL is part of. WCU is not in any way affiliated with them.

And I would be the first CL or exec to do so. To my knowledge Bitey is still in his group as was hannah before me.

 

TAG is a community of gamers that have hosted CSS/BF2/BF2142/DoDS servers for roughly 5 years. They currently run 6 CSS servers and 2 TF2 servers. I learned almost everything I know about running servers from my time with them and considering how successful they’ve been over the years, surviving solely on $100-160/month in donations, I think it’s fair for me to use their success to try to benefit the club.

 

Now if you want me to throw my learnings from there away I can but the result will probably be an empty server.

CL stands for Council Leader, voted in at our first general club meetings every semester.

 

Also if you are talking about PiG, you can hardly say it is the same, PiG doesn’t even have a website, all PiG is is a tag that Ninja started wearing a long time ago, I guess you could call us a group but we only play on the WCU server so in a way WCU started PiG.

 

PiG=Awesome, and thats all you really need to know.

Not at all. I said that without using my experience from TAG my decisions as the CL would be much different than they are. Decisions NOT based on prior experience rarely work for the better.

Um goofy was doing better than all of PiG when i was on… he should run PiG

I don’t remember when Ninja asked me, he bugged me about it for a few days and then I said yes, can’t remember if you were a part of the server then or not Yahoo… According to Steam community though you definitely joined PiG before me, I know I had held off from it for a while.

Btw, there is another group that goes by {TAG} and has a kick arse CSS Gungame server.

 

Unlike other copies, this group wasn’t created to imitate or tarnish the real |TAG|=> as others have done in the past.
