Still I think ppl leave cause of the reg Ive done everything to make my reg higher that legal but I still miss point blank shots onm people,,,and yeah I realize i suck ballls but thats no excuse.

Are you guys *edited*ing serious? It’s so easy to see why WCU is empty as hell. The place should be packed. Remember it’s just not WCU kids, it’s kids in NC who want to play too and know that the server is local.
The map rotation blows fat donkey donkey balls. Seriously? I know 7-yr olds who can construct a better map rotation.
Have you guys seen the maturity level of admins? We’re talking about a bunch of 18-20 yr olds who have no authority in life. Chances are they still listen to their parents, their professors, and just about everyone else. When you get in the server they finally feel some power and start going on power trips. Even I was more mature with admin on my server than these freshman are.
Lag anyone? I don’t know what the condition of the server is. But I’ll assume more than one server is on it and its Windows based. Get the club to pitch in the 100-200$ it takes to buy a PC that can handle Counter-Strike alone (something with a faster HD, but 1.8ghz processor and 4 gigs of ram). Buy on ebay it’s cheap and so is ram. I know this isn’t as possible, but at least whatever PC CS currently stands on put more ram on it (it’s so cheap!) and put linux on there. It would make a loads different.
I have a million more reasons. I’ll list them as they come to my head

As far as server specs I don’t know what they have, but I know what they should be doing.

As far as the rotation is concerned, WE didn’t pick it. You all did. We ran a one week suggestion thread for what maps to vote on and a two week thread to pick the maps that everyone wanted out of those suggested. The ONLY map that was added to the rotation not on the vote was de_dust2, and that was a no-brainer.
Admins not acting right? Well, provide proof. Screenshots, demos, whatever, and it’ll be dealt with.

Yeah I do actually, just goes to show poor of admins you guys are to allow it to lag. That’s really is pathetic – I mean come on it’s only a 12 year old game, remember? Good job on calling yourself out. I’m sure you may know a lot, but until you can get a server to play without constant lag spikes, maybe you should be open to suggestions. Like getting a 3-yr old PC with Linux(oh no you’ll have to learn something!) for cheap and use it solely for CS. Do you a whole lot better.
We have no control over the network there, however, per the lag spikes, we had a failing network card in the server, I believe I’ve posted this in other places as well, and that has been fixed, so hopefully the “lag spikes” your complaining about are gone as well.
lag spikes have been solve and registry got better than last time by alot
and dont criticize other admins about their jobs.

but never talk about all the admins for something they did not do wrong.
So a $12,000 server on an OC-12 line is too laggy for you. I guess we could go buy a dual-quadcore system but that’ll lag too right? Since it’s Windows Server 2003 x64 Enterprise, why wouldn’t it lag? Why we’re at it we can upgrade to 10 stripped 15k RPM SCSI320s, surely that’ll be fast enough and 16GB of ram isn’t enough, we need to go 128GB.
You do realize that our server well exceeds that you said to go buy, right? And the CSS server, which has been 20+/28 the past few weeks, hasn’t had any registry complaints. Neither has the TF2 server when it’s full. So games that require more power have had less complaints about lag, what does that tell you?
That’s from the dorms which have a much smaller alotment of bandwidth than the datacenter.
GTFO, STFU, or actually help.
Btw, since you’re a big linux man, please tell us which distro you’d like us to use and why it’s better than what we have. Give DETAILED and SPECIFIC reasons as the typical linux talking points don’t work here.

just STOP. stop cussin, stop fighting. its as simple as this. jr if you do NOT have any constructive critism then stop posting here and if you don’t like the server go find a different one. if you would like to put SUGGESTIONS then post a thread using the request a change button and politely state your reasons, backed up with facts or proof, and then hopefully our community can respond DECENTLY DISCUSS which ideas are good and which are not and gve reasons or facts to support what they say. do not call our leaders and admins stupid or immature and hopefully our leaders and admins can keep from BELITTLING you, as dice put it.
