well what the police did was unconstitutional; he could sue them to the supreme court and win millions; they violated his first amendment right and he broke 0 laws.

    nix, keep that *edited* going.

Well… i think that it’s just stupid that people consider this to be a threat… it’s not… it’s just a building that we are familiar with. I would go ahead and delete the map from the server…. I’m going to keep a copy of it for my own personal records… i put a *edited* ton of time in on it and just don’t want to let it go that quick.. i’ll just not play it…

thanks dice and all for letting me know about this.

well there is no legal bounds for them to do anything to you; AFAIK that kid in there was in high school but you did nothing wrong. Besides, the map is called cs_tower because it just looks similar to a building on campus; doesnt mean they are the same. I would like to see the map continue on.

If our 3rd parties weren’t narrowly tailored to the interests of a single issue they would be able to compete. It’s not BS, people don’t vote solely for tree hugging or “independent”/anti-everything ideals. They vote for the party that represents them best, minus a few minorities who vote for their interests but that’s a different issue.

BS. The reason we don’t get third party involvement is because the republicans and democrats make it nearly impossible for a third party to compete. If you want to run for office as a republican or democrat , you pay a small fee and they throw your name up on the ballot (I am referring to smaller, local offices obviously). If you are running as a third party its not that easy. You have to (a) pay a larger fee and (B) get petitions from a large number of voters just to get your name on the ballots. As for presidential candidates, they can’t get invited to participate in the debates unless they have something like 10% of the popular vote already… and if they cant get on the debate they really dont stand a chance. The system is setup to favor the red or blue even though probably 40% of americans fall somewhere in between.

Also, if you think all the third parties are “narrowly tailored to the interests of a single issue”, I suggest you take a look at the Libertarian and Constitution party platforms, they are much more robust than the Republican or Democratic party platforms.

Yes please make sure it is free and find out how much it would cost before we vote on it.

so I checked online and both the ball room and the multipurpose room are booked on the 21st.

On the other hand, the Cat’s Den seems to be free; I think it is something we should seriously consider. They already are closed Saturdays so I think it would be a great space for us to use. We can at least TRY it.

fyi our normal meeting room was the catamount room, not multipurpose room. the multipurpose room is our backup room the the lan.

Also, nickname’s checklist was stolen from abomb’s lan prep.

Saturday is a terrible meeting day for me in general. I don’t think I will be here any Saturdays between now and the LAN either.

I think the minutes forgot the part where I was voted Grand Czar of the club. No big deal; might just want to update the minutes.

Oh, OK. As for the firing of Mark Dybul, it was done because he was pushing to use as much of the money as possible for abstinence only programs, so it seems to be a policy difference that got him fired. Plus, It’s not like someone else can’t do the job inline with the new policy. At the very least it doesn’t seem to be arbitrary.

yes but he was fired with no successor lined up. That is not how you run government agencies. Especially not ones that save millions of lives.

Best comment on digg that sums it all up. As of now the COMMENT has 300+ diggs

Excellent calls by the refs. They earned every penny the Steelers paid them.

I want to know who paid off the booth to not review that last play. Warner was clearly in the process of passing and it should not have been ruled a fumble but instead an incomplete.

If we increase the CSS slots it will decrease registry exponentially. Not happening. We aren’t limited by “slots” as an empty server doesn’t cost anything but hard drive space to host.

I will be configuring the Gungame server over the next few days and it should be ready to populate by mid-next week. Three of us were playing earlier tonight and had a few randoms connect. It’s not a lost cause.

you said it would be 100% ready last night. I called bs. I was correct.

I have to agree with Ex there; we should have 1-2 meetings before each lan and a meeting after each lan as a “what was good, what was bad” thing.
