Alright it plays CS:S pretty well at a mixture of med-low settings at 1024×768; typically staying around 50-60fps with occasional drops to the 20s.
Also of note is that I might switch the case out for this one here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx…N82E16811144001 simply because I am bored with that case lol. Its actually in much better condition than the one I was originally going to include so that should help the value of this machine.
EDIT: also I was using the default windows drivers, might get better performance with newer drivers idk.
It will play CS:S, I will test it today and see how well.
She is giving the monitor to her mom, so no it doesn’t come with one.
Hey here is a question for you all, which one of the gagillion controller configurations do you like the most?
I’m sure I am in the minority, but I like using just the remote, it just feels so retro and right in my hands
I meant we will vote on if we randomize teams or have prechosen teams or something in between (like you can say you want to be with 1 other person or something.)
I play lots of Titan Quest to go along with my TF2, COD4, some BFME2 thrown in there every once in awhile, and another good one is Star Wars Battlefront 2
This has nothing to do with COD4 but last night I was playing TF2 on Liam’s test server and he decided to run some benchmark on the server WHILE I WAS STILL IN IT. It was the craziest thing ever I have 2 Screenshots of it on my desktop at home that I will upload when I get back from class.
EDIT: added the screens. Just wanted to say I was just standing there in spawn and all this *edited* just appeared out of nowhere all around me and it just went crazy… I hope the screens do it justice.
No, for example, it starts on cp_dustbowl so the next map should be ctf_mach4, but instead it goes to cp_gravelpit for some odd reason. We are looking into it, I am sure these little problems will be fixed by the time break is over.
gah, the rotation still doesn’t seem to be working correctly, but that can be fixed easily I am sure
Ok it seems that TF2 is now up and running, respawn is set at around 9 seconds and works great. Not sure if sudden death melee only is working because I need people to play with to find out, same with the q3 sounds. I will be posting admin commands shortly for those of us who need them.
Shane is going to help me look through stuff here in a little bit.
EDIT: I would like to mark this post as a very important event in history as it is officially my 500th post.
I think any way you look at it that is near impossible because the tournaments on either side rarely actually start on their scheduled time.
Just want to keep you all up to date; the server isn’t loading the config file for some reason. I can go through and change cvars with rcon and get the desired output but once the server is restarted we lose it all. Liam said he would look into it when he gets a chance but he has been busy with work so we will see what happens.
… even though they don’t work yet. For some reason sounds are still broken; basically there is more stuff to setup but we are heading in the right direction.
Also wanted to comment that we do have beetlesmod installed now on the server but it is not fully configured; expect your admins to be non-functional for the next couple of days at least.
Ok so I have been messing with a lot of beetlesmod stuff and I finally noticed the logo things that kappamerc was talking about so I though I would post some screens of them. I am sure we can get the WCU gaming logo thrown in there with no problem. These are from 2fort.
Also, the MOTD has been updated fully in HTML and now shows the rotation, rules, and has a link to our website and the detailed server rules and punishments that are here on the forums. Also, Liam and I are in the process of installing beetlesmod, new maps, etc, so stay tuned hopefully we will have something working soon.

I found this nice handy app that will automatically generate configuration files for beetlesmod! we may get these changes implemented sooner than I thought!

Should make our lives much easier, also has easy settings for stuff like the sudden death melee only.
