Ever heard of Iron Lore? They made Titan Quest (great game) but went out of business earlier this year. Their former CEO or whatever blamed their downfall on the high amount of PC game piracy. Also I read another article from COD4’s developer being shocked and *edited*ed over how much piracy went on with that game and that is one of the best games I have played in a long time. Most people won’t buy the game even if it is great and it is killing the PC gaming industry.
I for one am glad.
As someone that actually purchases his PC games and movies, I would like to mention that many developers are moving away from making PC games in favor of console games because the amount of piracy on PC games is over 50% (with the exception of steam games and games like WOW)
well if you ever DID need new drivers for your laptop, the best place to go is laptopvideo2go.com/forums
They house just about every nvidia driver ever made and they have hacked inf files that make the newer drivers work with laptop cards (nvidia and OEMs rarely update laptop drivers for some odd reason, yet the desktop drivers work fine 98% of the time. I use those drivers for my laptop.)

I’ve heard that the q9300 is BARELY any faster than the q6600… seems to me you should have just gotten that one instead of waiting *congratulates MasterP*
haha another thing no one mentioned (shame on you Kuros) is that Vista is meant for mid-high end hardware only. Don’t put that crap on a p4 with 1GB ram or less (even though it “will run” on a p3 with 512 *cries*) Many people that don’t like Vista hate it because of either the reason MasterP said (it is not XP) or because their computer sucks too much to run it. Even now I don’t run vista on any of my laptops but I love it on my desktop.
As Bitey said, these problems will go away soon because once IT gets off the box, Tron will have a nice little reformat and will run MUCH more efficiently.
I have had no problems, as I said I haven’t even noticed a difference since installing SP1…
And you don’t have to tell me about them messing up the first time. I am one of the suckers who had his computer rendered inoperable from an automatic update they pushed out. MS = ftl but still better than Apple
For real, change it to “WCU Gaming COD4” or something like that. The current name gets cut off because it is too long.
I installed it and honestly haven’t noticed any difference. Hard drive usage is lower but thats probably because I uninstalled AVG more than SP1

Maybe we can work on the price some… I can surely get you a CRT monitor for free but I don’t have an extra LCD to sell you, sorry :-/
