so i had to get a quick fix computer wise for this overseas program I’m going to be a part of. I had to get a laptop and just went ahead and bought a MacBook Pro. Wondering what ya’ll thought about them, so far its pretty *edited* sexy, the only draw back is I have to play steam through another program. Which is a major drawback for me, but if it gets me to play less games and get more work done, then its a step in the right direction lol.
Specs(straight from Best Buy):
2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo / 3MB shared lvl2 cache
2GB of 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM
250GB 5400-rpm hard drive
15.4 LED @ 1440 by 900 pixels
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M and NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT graphics processor w/ 256MB GDDR3 memory

pretty standard i guess, i resisted as long as i could, the urge to come to this dark side, but this pro with its black and silver body and led light shining under the keys sucked me in; so sexy, pricey, but sexy. Financing ftw
yeah thats what I use, the Nikon D40. Canon and Nikon are both very good brands imo. Great camera, but I will tell you, to invest in lens. Although the 18-55mm lens that it comes with is a great starter, you will want at least a 200mm lens for long range shots. I bought a 55-200mm lens for pretty cheap (120 bucks) but they usually range in the 200-500 dollar range. Like mine, the cheaper ones won’t have image stabilization, but you can make up for that with a tripod or camera stand.

No matter how depressing it is to think and talk about death, like 18 said, there is no reason to let it bring you down. While it saddens me to even think about your whole perdicament, battling cancer and all, death isn’t something which bothers me, and isn’t something that should bother you. It may be horrible luck that you have what you have, but when you think about the chances of even coming into existence; you, along with the rest of us on this planet, are the luckiest SOB’s in the Universe. Death shouldn’t be something you fear, but something that should be embraced. It’s the ying and yang, the balance which we are all bound to. I’m not saying go look for it, but I am saying don’t sit around waiting for it to find you.
The way I see it we have these choices:
-Jeebus was right, there is a heaven, when one dies, good dudes go there
-There is no heaven, but there is a god, and when one dies, you go back, to whatever it is god is
-There is nothingness, you go back to the void blackness that is your mind before you were conscious
I personally wouldn’t mind all three. But that is just me. The real question isn’t about death, but what do you want to be thinking, feeling, doing, when it does finally come? I myself, have no intention of going out scared, or discouraged. Think about it, if you only had one more thought, and afterward the curtain calls, what would you want that thought to be? Scared, loneliness, about death? I don’t believe in a hell, but I do think the closest thing to hell, would be your last thoughts on earth being negative or depressing.
What our purpose is, and what we are, that is something that can’t be answered in a lifetime. Reincarnation? I’m not sure if there is or if there isn’t.
I could ramble on this stuff for hours, very interesting stuff, but just don’t let it suck all the life out of ya. <3
