jk citan I’m sorry to hear about your friend. And I lost my mother to cancer and some other family members as well and I wish you the best of luck with that.
Just remember it won’t always be this gloomy and people only die once in their lifetimes. I normally don’t like to bring religion into forum posts but pray about it. He knows what’s going on and he won’t tell you but He’ll listen to you. Hopefully that will bring you some comfort.

ParticipantDeath is something everyone must face unfortunately it is earlier for some, but you must not let that thought of death stop you from doing you want in your life, you must always live life to the fullest.

ParticipantNo matter how depressing it is to think and talk about death, like 18 said, there is no reason to let it bring you down. While it saddens me to even think about your whole perdicament, battling cancer and all, death isn’t something which bothers me, and isn’t something that should bother you. It may be horrible luck that you have what you have, but when you think about the chances of even coming into existence; you, along with the rest of us on this planet, are the luckiest SOB’s in the Universe. Death shouldn’t be something you fear, but something that should be embraced. It’s the ying and yang, the balance which we are all bound to. I’m not saying go look for it, but I am saying don’t sit around waiting for it to find you.
The way I see it we have these choices:
-Jeebus was right, there is a heaven, when one dies, good dudes go there
-There is no heaven, but there is a god, and when one dies, you go back, to whatever it is god is
-There is nothingness, you go back to the void blackness that is your mind before you were conscious
I personally wouldn’t mind all three. But that is just me. The real question isn’t about death, but what do you want to be thinking, feeling, doing, when it does finally come? I myself, have no intention of going out scared, or discouraged. Think about it, if you only had one more thought, and afterward the curtain calls, what would you want that thought to be? Scared, loneliness, about death? I don’t believe in a hell, but I do think the closest thing to hell, would be your last thoughts on earth being negative or depressing.
What our purpose is, and what we are, that is something that can’t be answered in a lifetime. Reincarnation? I’m not sure if there is or if there isn’t.
I could ramble on this stuff for hours, very interesting stuff, but just don’t let it suck all the life out of ya. <3

ParticipantNot to get all quote-y on your *edited*, but here is an excerpt I had saved on the subject:
Quote:
One step beyond that boundary line which resembles the line dividing the living from the dead, lies uncertainty, suffering, and death. And what is there? Who is there? – there beyond that field, that tree, that roof lit up by the sun? No one knows, but one wants to know. You fear and yet long to cross that line, and know that sooner or later it must be crossed and you will have to find out what is there, just as you will inevitably have to learn what lies on the other side of death.May 17, 2009 at 12:32 pm #85030Citan001
ParticipantIm not all that sad about it but it is something I think about. Im not a real religious man myself but that is because of my education. Going to a catholic high school we had to take religion classes and some of what was said there kinda got to me. Thats another story for another time though. Lets move this in a different direction. What would your bucket list be?

Participantlol threesome such a typical guy answer. For real the are over rated. To much is going on to really get down to it. Thats how I feel anyways. I am down with the sky diving and bungy jumping though. I might have to take you with me when I go do that.

ParticipantI’ll see your threesome and raise you a foursome. 6 Boobies.
Seriously though, I know how you feel. There was a 4-5 year period where I lost 11 friends and a couple family members a couple years back. Don’t hang yourself. Thats all I can say. SUICIDE IS NOT THE ANSWER.

Participantlol derrick in that case I will have to beat you and set something up with 5 girls. Yes 10 boobies and me. It is possible and now I gotta do it. As for the suicide thing no that wont happen. I guess im at that odd crossroads in life you know with one foot in the door and all but I still dont see anything “life changing”
