Btw, you won’t get a 50% overclock on an Intel Core2 Q series with nothing but air and have it 100% stable. You’d be *edited* lucky to get a Q series chip at 50% period. The voltage threshold is the determining factor, not temperature.
Easy to steal doesn’t stop the DS from having a crapton of games. Almost none are any good but there are a lot of them.
I predict going entirely software will cripple the PSP game market once people figure out how to mimic sony’s server.
Just disable directory browsing for that folder.
In Cpanel it should be under Advanced > Index Manager. Select the folder you want to block and set it to “No Indexing”.

This is going to be the CS16 of the L4D series. The one people play in protest to Valve making an even better game. Those evil developers should have known that you can never follow a great game up with another great game, and if you do ever cross the streams like that you must wait at least 5 years so that the community has had ample time to die out.
We ALL know if you don’t give players three years to get 58 achievements they’ll rage at you.

If you want to block directory browsing you can turn that off in cpanel (depending on the version) or toss in a blank index.html in the directory.
If you want to restrict ALL access you can’t without blocking it for the rest of the website as well.
To do it he used a really nice WC system (I think Danger Den) with cooling on the CPU, northbridge and video with a fan hovering right about the ram blowing down across it.
You’d be surprised just how well the Core2 series in general handles as far as heat goes. If you can get to 20-25% on air cooling you could easily hit 40% on liquid. The deciding factor at that point becomes how stable your chip is at higher voltages. The Intel chips are surprisingly resiliant but when you hit that line in the sand you’ll definately know it. lol
When you get a stable 50% overclock I’ll bow, until then WCU’s EE crowd is superior.

Yes you can fix it but it’s about 1000000000000000 times easier to just reinstall Vista with the XP drive in.
Vista will call XP “Previous version of Windows”.
When you get to that point let us know and I’ll get you the command to change it.
Also as a warning, if you put Vista on an old hard drive, you WILL be disappointed in the performance you get. Vista expects you to have a decent hard drive and an “old 40 gig you found on the street” probably isn’t going to cut it.
Dean notified me about serious lag earlier today and I had it fixed in less than a minute.
If you guys will let me know I’ll fix it.

The problem isn’t Vista anymore, the problem is people too used to XP to give it a fair chance. These are the same people who hated XP with a passion until they magically loved it and who still claim Win2k is better for gaming.

I play CSS a few times a week, usually on our server but not always. Me being on the server won’t magically make it fill up again.
Considering that the CS16 server has had a similar drop I’m not sure that this is a problem I could fix anyway.
Besides the new mapcycle that’s coming up next week, what do you think I need to do that would actually fix the population drop off?
I’ll be at NCSU next semester.
Whether or not we get a server in the 2009-2010 academic year will be decided over the summer.
That’s the processor we originally wanted but ITS won’t let us have an Intel based server because everything else is AMD.
This whole issue is going to come up again in June and I’ll try (again) to get what’s best for us but we have to walk a fine line between what ITS is willing to host and what Reslife is willing to pay for.
