I’m going to call ITS about it tomorrow. They’ve been ignoring my emails since summer break started and I’ve got a laundry list of stuff they need to do.
They know my cell number though so no guarantees they’ll answer.

If you maintain a 1:1 ratio you’ll only have between 3-5k points. I’ve never broken 5000 and I usually carry a 1.3 ratio.

Regardless of whether or not you think the war was right, will you at least admit that when we started winning it the media shifted away to hide Bush’s success?

It’s interesting though that this story isn’t well publicized. When Bush was in office this sort of story made the front page on every newspaper in the country. Odd how when Obama is elected the Iraq stories get burried.
You’re confused.
You get a set amount of points for winning, planting the bomb, picking up the bomb, dropping the bomb, etc.
You get a varying number of points for killing someone. The amount you get is based on how many points he has and how many you have. If he has many more points then you you get a lot of points, if you are close you get some points, if you have many more than him you get very few.
The reverse is also true for deaths. The most that can be taken is set at 15 i believe.

That makes sense because the server autorestarts every morning for the maintenance cycle. I’ll try to keep an eye on it but if you notice it’s doing that let me know and I can restart.

Little tidbit: When TF2 is 24/24 it takes up about 90% of the CPU it’s locked to and L4D takes up about 35% when 8/8. However last night TF2 and L4D were both maxed out and there was no lag. They are both locked to the same CPU.
I’m now confused as to how this whole CPU load thing works because that simply doesn’t make sense.
Also, per Adam’s request, the CS16 and CSS servers are locked to a different CPU than the other servers so no matter how populated everything else gets it won’t affect them at all. At this point it’s a pretty good idea.

As far as server update:As soon as i get the 2 new maps downloaded, I’ll update the server with only the 2 new (non-arena) maps in the mapcycle for about a week. Hopefully we will be one of the first few servers to get the maps up and get a draw to the server.
Server is attempting to update now. Please don’t make any changes until it’s done.
