ParticipantPeople are retarded. If you’re good enough you could make people pick an Apple IIc over Vista.
The problem isn’t Vista anymore, the problem is people too used to XP to give it a fair chance. These are the same people who hated XP with a passion until they magically loved it and who still claim Win2k is better for gaming.

Participant1. People that have just gotten familiar with Vista will have no trouble with 7.
2. Unless they REALLY fixed something in SP4, Windows 2K was NEVER good for gaming. 3dMark used to give me double the score on 98 than 2000 with the same hardware. I guess that could be nVidia’s drivers too, but double? I dunno… I guess if you run less operating system, you get more hardware out of it. Along that train of thought, DOS must be the best for gaming. lol
3. KDE has gotten better. I used to be all gnome, but they’ve made improvements that would allow me to accept either.

Win2k was probably the best client OS for a workplace back in the day though. I’ll stand by that.

ParticipantAoE 1 and 2 had such terrible netcode. Even across a LAN it still got massively laggy.
We put some program on our school computers that was supposed to make the games play better, Gameboost or something like that. Surprisingly it actually made win98 play games even better, how I have no idea.

Participant<sarcasm> But the best gaming OS out there is Windows Mojave. It’s amazing. It looks super cool too. </sarcasm>
