You won’t get anything like that for free.

Remote desktop has the file dragging desktop interaction that you’re looking for while VNC lets you log in from a browser but doesn’t have file interaction between the two machines.

    It’s a trade off.

Delhomme had less than 5 interceptions, which makes it a good weekend!

How long before they fire him? It needs doing. He’s terrible.

Such a shame the 2nd string is hurt, I think he’s better than Delhomme.

MasterP ran win 7 pro fine on his netbook (1.6ghz atom, 1gb ram, 160gb hdd) and said it was definitely fast enough to be usable.

Before I put MATLAB, Mathematica, and a bunch of other crap on there it booted in about 20 seconds, now it’s in the 30-45 second range. Once it’s up it’s very usable, even with an antivirus on it.

If you have a dualcore and 2gb of ram you should be just fine. 4gb maybe if you want to play games but unless you’re getting into some serious memory hogs like BF2142, Hellgate, etc you should be fine.

If it’s down to Vista or Win7, just go with Win7.

Btw, it has nothing to do with 120 days. You’ll have to call MS to activate that key for the remainer of your life. Never activate until everything’s right, you have 30 days for a reason.

The club has given away eDimensional AudioFX 5.1 headsets before and they’re quite nice.

Mine’s still working after 2 years of constant gaming.

Might want to advert to only plant ONE bomb during a round. Not 2 or 3. And if you plant 2 bombs make them at same bombsite.

I already know how I want to line up the Console tournaments. But you’re saying that I should talk to the PC VP and try and setup a time table that will complement both sides of the LAN?

In the past it was worked out as a group with between the execs and CLs so that the games that pull people from the other side fall between times for the other side. If nothing else make sure the major PC tournament falls during one of the lesser console tournaments and vice versa, that way the people who want to play the big tournaments for both can.

I was kind of confused when we didn’t stay after the meeting to make a time line but I’m guessing Kaz-Ka is gonna do that later.

It’s not up to Kaz-ka, or at least it’s traditionally not been. The VPs should figure out the tournament time requirements for each game and get together and schedule them so they line up together.

    Shingi said:

You are right about the RTS though one round can easily take 30-45 minutes to do. It may have to be an all day tournament which means people will have to take the risk of just playing Warcraft III and nothing else.

That’s why whenever we’ve done them in the past they’ve always been unofficial tournaments. There’s no way to schedule regular gameplay around them, especially once you get a few good players matched up. It’s like trying to play smash bros and PC tournaments at the same time. It works out for a while but eventually you have to pick one and forfeit the other, unless you lose early on :( .

    I haven’t seen any.

In the past they’ve always been posted within 24 hours of the meeting. I always had it done before we left the meeting.

My fear is that throwing in an RTS means no timetable will be stuck to. The last time we did Starcraft, well, things took a while. A long while. And that was with only like 8 people playing. And a highly experienced player running it.

    No.

You cannot do an upgrade from XP to Win7, you have to do a fresh install with a full format. You can upgrade Vista to Win7 without formatting but it’s not advised.

If you have neither installed then you’ll probably have to insert an XP/Vista install disc before it will start installing Win7. Either that or ask you for a XP/Vista serial to prove you have it.

It’s a little more widespread than you let on. 4 offices are now being investigated and I believe I heard the senate voted to cut their funding.

Btw, National Park Service now estimates well over 1 million people were at this event.

If you’ve ever listened to him you know he gets some of the most liberal callers known to man.

Barring the toned used to deliver it, the argument he made can’t be ignored. Every year thousands of people, rich and poor, come here from other countries because they can’t get proper or groundbreaking healthcare from their own state-run systems. You can deny waiting lists and lotteries all you want but there’s no getting around the fact that the majority of government run systems have them and we’d be going into this knowing full well that the people running our country, on both sides of the isle, are some of the most incompetent people on the planet.

It’s a recipe for disaster, even when the cooking’s by the book.

We still lose people on SK3 and deagle5. Maybe put in an advert that says that SK3/D5 don’t have stats tracking.

If we can get the word out that those fun maps can be played without penalty I think more will be willing to stay.

Yelling yaaaayyy or nayyyy is one thing, but calling the man a straight liar is just not true. Read the *edited* bill, it says if you are illegal then you don’t get anything under the plan.

They don’t NOW. The bills being discussed in congress at the time of the speech did allow for illegals to enroll in the plan. Hell even in the new plans there are loop holes that would still allow them to get it under the “resident alien” clause. Essentially “illegal aliens” can’t get it but “resident aliens” are required to have insurance and are not expressly denied access to enroll in the public option. I mean at this point we’re splitting hairs. Obama should come right out and say that ONLY citizens will get access to the public option, but he never has and IMO never will.

You mentioned he was doing something about illegal immigrants, I had not heard this. He wouldn’t happen to be tossing them in a new category would he? One that’s not quite as harsh as illegal alien but not quite as legit as citizen? Maybe something in between, like “resident alien”?

You see what I did there?

It’s been PROVEN various times that Windows DOES run better on Apple hardware. There is actually a logical reasoning for it too! Apple is better at making/verifying drivers than your every day hardware manufacturer. MasterP, you are WRONG on this arguement, deal!

Apple is better at making drivers for an Nvidia card than Nvidia is?

    You sir, are an idiot.

Have you even looked at the Boot Camp driver folder on the OSX DVD? They’re the same drivers PCs use.
