ParticipantSo I didnt wanna post this in the windows 7 thread cuz that seems to just be about windows 7. I have windows 7 pro and its great and all but when I try and play css it craps out on me. I can load css up and if im lucky I can join a game but as soon as it loads and I pick a team for some reason it restarts my computer. It will do this once then it will just shut the whole thing off. It does not do this with other games (i have yet to try it with other steam games) anyone got any idea what it is?

ParticipantThat sounds weird to me man. Did you just change to Windows 7 or did you transport the computer first or something?

ParticipantXP Mode will not play games that require hardware acceleration.
This is not a Windows7 problem because I’m running it and everything’s fine. Maybe some of your new hardware is bad.

Participantcheck your drivers; but yeah it could be a hardware problem especially considering you havent tested it with a different OS.

ParticipantTested everything and found out what the clicking was (bad hd) went out and get a new one and reinstalled everything and still nothing oh this time though my system just seems to freeze at random moments. It will be fine for like 5 min then it will just freeze for 3 then it will be ok again for another 5 min. Im seriously about to just throw this *edited* thing out the window and use the other pc. Anyone got any new ideas?

ParticipantYou still haven’t listed what’s in it…

Participantif its freezing like that, its either configured wrong or has bad hardware. Regardless, it has nothing to do with Windows 7 OR CSS so… fail topic is fail.

Upgrading almost always kills games, especially with loaders like Steam.
Try reinstalling.

Choke is a computer problem, not OS related, and lag is an internet problem.
Maybe check drivers and turn kazaa off?
