We could probably find use for those power cables and maybe the projection screen.Ditto.
Bitey: Go get the cables and screen for the club. If nothing else that’s one less wall we have to use, possibly opening more space for consoles.

ParticipantWhen I contributed to my IRA account a week ago it did something very similar, Wachovia thought I still had the money and Wachovia Securities was already investing it. Give it a few days and it should fix itself. If it’s not fixed by Tuesday night I would call them first thing Wednesday morning.
DO NOT remove the money from the checking account. Overdraft fees suck and you don’t want it to bounce a month into classes.

ParticipantWhat gave you the impression we weren’t?
It has 16GB of ram now.

ParticipantI’ve noticed it has a tendency to randomly stack, really bad. If 5 rounds in, half of one team has more than the top player on the other team it creates tension.

FYI master p… south ossetia has not been apart of georgia for 16 yearsSo if Georgia didn’t own the territory then why did Russia have to use force to take it?
MajorMajorMajor said:
its not us going into canada because a small faction wanted liberation or freedom or whatnot… its closer to us going to kuwait because they got invaded by iraqoh wait… that happened.
So Georgia invaded and Russia went in to defend it? Yeah, that’s not quite how it happened…

might i also point out the Philippines, Grenada, all of South America after ww1 & 2 and IsraelNext time Russia defends the modern world from a tyrannical regime by all means let them do as they please with the spoils. First they have to get rid of their own regime which isn’t happening anytime soon.

and i will agree its a slippery rope but the US has been walking it since it was createdHow many wars have we started completely unprovoked. Careful now, Iraq was provoked by Saddam’s WMD program that was, in fact, real, as we have recently learned with the selling of his weapons grade-capable uranium he lied to the UN about.

Thanks a bunch. I have no complaints about the frequency, just the fact that they pop up in the middle of the screen. That was always the complaint I got. I don’t think anyone minds having them, just not where they were.

We will look at changing the mapcycle once classes start up.This is still the plan. I will be throwing up another discussion thread similar to the one in June in the next week or so. As before, any and all player input is welcome.
I don’t want to randomly pick maps as that is too much like a votemap cycle. We all know how well that worked, or didn’t. The theory behind it is sound but it can pick a set of poor maps just as well as good ones.
Deagle5 will be given some serious thought. I don’t want to get rid of it because it is a very good map but like you said those who care about their stats leave. I may reduce it down to a handful of rounds but if the community wants it gone then so be it. Since the debate over this map will be lengthy, I may keep it seperate from the main mapcycle discussion.

ParticipantI have changed the advertisements so that they appear in the general chat with the admin (green) color. It is MUCH less obtrusive and people still get the point. In some situations it’s even easier to read than the white center chat.
Now that it’s in general chat I don’t think there will be any more complaints about the frequency of them.

I support Russia defending a providence that had been independent since 1992death of civilians is tragic, and i dont like it, but i believe that Russia’s reasons are just.
If that’s the case, would you support the US invading parts of Canada if a few rogue elements there want it? How about parts of Iran that want to be free? You know if the US starting invading provinces of Iran there would be a massive international outcry and the UN would *edited* their pants.
This is a very slippery slope to defend.

I knew there was an increase, but I didnt know about the decline. Though with the almost non stop economic expansion China has been experiencing will it make that much of an effect? No country can stay in that kind of growth for long. China is quickly approaching the point where it’s going to have to drop the communistic government or start taking hits in the economy. Communism doesn’t work in the real world, never has and never will (barring the Star Trek future). At some point this is going to catch up with the Chinese and they’ll either decline into ruin as Russia did or switch to capitalism and spend another decade adjusting to free markets.

biased much?Well they did shut down a good chunk of their factories and limit who could drive on what days to curb polution. Did it make a difference? No. Their country is the very reason the Clean Air Act was created, too bad it only hurts the US…
And about the economics, the sad truth is that every country (besides the US) hosting the olympics in the past 50 years has had a huge increase in economic power leading up to the olympic games and then a steady decline thereafter. Every country.

your IP address can NOT be a 192.168.x.x address if you are plugged directly into your cable/dsl modem; that address is given from a router. Some ISPs install modem/routers without telling customers and it’s not always obvious they’ve done so. Think Comcast, now think about their purchasing decisions, now think worst case scenario, congrats you’ve got a good picture.

Why not wait and see how hot it all runs together on air then decide if water cooling is even necessary? MasterP has water cooling on his GPU only (8800GTX) and that is only because its built into his case; I would think the hassle and price would outweigh any advantage of the setup.I actually have watercooling on the CPU and GPU. As Kuros pointed out the system really can’t handle both but the GPU is still far below air cooled and the CPU is at normal air cooled temperature. All this under heavy load (IE Cod4, Supreme Commander, Hellgate) for 6+ hour runs. If I installed another radiator it would drop another 15-20°F on the GPU and 5-10°F on the CPU but it’s not worth the hassle until I flush and clean the system later this month.
The only reason I continue to run watercooling is because it stays the same temperature no matter how long I play, whereas the 8800 GTX continually gets hotter on air cooling until you start losing performance. This was the problem I was having the month before I changed over but with the newer 65nm and future 55nm video cards I would definately wait and see if you even need it. The Intel Core2 chips run like insanely cool on stock cooling so you may only want one for your video.

IE is painful to use in the “personal services” tab of MyCatThat’s Western’s fault. UNCC and UNCG both have the EXACT same system and it works perfectly. You can disable the warning if you want, obviously FF does.
Google it Dice, idk. I imagine there is but don’t know off hand b/c Vista Business doesn’t have MC features.

Home Premium on a HP dv9700 notebookI’ve got a brand new dv6700t that’s less than a week old and it’s media center feature works fine. Make sure you haven’t disabled any of HP’s stuff or you can disable the HP media center plugins and try to get Vista to run it by itself. You might also check HP’s support as they should have a full listing of what needs to be enabled to get that to work.

this is the website i get all sorts of problems http://www.guzer.com/ but its by far not the only one. IDK why i dont like IE, i’v just cant ever remember using it. i only turn to it when i get a problem with FF. which happening alot filling out jobs apps. Which reminds me, when you all do the lan sponsorships apps , use IE and get few headachesThat website doesn’t use WMP, it uses the Macromedia flash player (.swf). If you haven’t done so, go to http://www.adobe.com and install the flash player for FF as it and IE don’t share the plugin.

no one has yet been able to disprove the theory that there is an invisible force in the universe capable of affecting matter millions of light-years away…instantly.I find it interesting that it’s becoming more and more common for the burden of proof to be placed on disproving a theory rather than proving it. I thought you were supposed to be able to prove something before theorizing it but I guess Al Gore got us off to a great start on this sort of thinking.
Btw, while quantum entanglement might be mathematically possible it’s a far stretch from being possible in the realm of physics unless they invent (or prove, depends on the mood they’re in) a whole new level of quantum mechanics to back it up.

when i view sites with embeded video players it alsways ask me to install the missing plugin.. and the missing plugin is wmp11???Embedded video rarely uses WMP. In fact I don’t think I’ve seen an embedded video use above WMP7.1, ever. Most likely this is a 3rd party plugin in which case you need to take your issues to the browser maker or plugin maker. In the case of FF, yeah the internet wasn’t made for it. IE works everywhere, everytime, doing everything, except for the people who code their websites to specifically require FF to view it as they don’t count.
