We have much to discuss for the first meeting of the semester, elections will be held for all positions except President, whose term will end after this semester. We will also be holding voting for the games to be played at the LAN event. Finally Dell Representative Kenneth Ferris will be in attendance to talk to us about what Dell is willing to offer us in partnership and what this will mean for the club.
On another front I have been speaking with people about what the Club has been up to and I have been hearing a lot of the higher ups telling me they would like to see the Club do an event in the Ramsey Center, so I would like to talk about how we feel about this, the ups and downs of the proposal and so forth. Perks that I can see right now are bigger space, meaning more people. Also entrance is a huge loading area that is like a massive hallway, so easy entrance for people getting their equipment into the space. One negative I can think of is we would have less walk-ins, because of it being out where it is. Anyways these are the kinds of things we need to talk about and see if one out weighs the other, I know a lot of you guys are really partial to the Grand Room and I too have a soft spot for it, but we have to realize that by forcing ourselves to stay in one spot will only hinder the potential for growth that this club has right now.
Lastly, I want to make sure everyone is signed up and able to use the collegiatelink website, there is actually more to that little website than I thought and I think we should take advantage of its capabilities.
Thanks everybody I hope your classes have started out well and your semester as well, I hope to see everyone that can be there at this first meeting, it is going to be a big one, lot of exciting news and possibilities that I will only share at the meeting so please come on out and be a part of the Gaming Club’s promising future!

If networking is willing, i’d move to ramsey. the grandroom is way too overcrowded and that way, the ddr/guitar hero/rock band people can do whatever the hell they want without annoying the *edited* out of people.

I will definitely be there, I have quite a few things to pitch to the club besides my weekly Smash event.
Hey. Another item that needs to be discussed at the meeting…T-shirts!!!!! If you have a T-shirt idea, please bring them to the meeting so that we can vote on ONE design and hopefully get shirts this year:)

Thanks for the reminder no deesay, thats spanish for dice, jk I don’t know what spanish for dice is but anyways. I will go through and pick out the topics if we have already discussed it we will just move right along.

EFG is full of win though. We should have a special page dedicated solely to EFG. *nods*
However, I won’t be able to attend the meeting. I’ve got to work and there are too many people who took the day off already for me to get it off. DragonCon sucks.

however, nothing in their says their can not be more than one alumni advisor. Something the exec’s should ponder up and bring to the meeting. (please)
I thought I said in my message that it was in the Catamount Room? Second floor of the UC and to the right when you come up the stairs, I will have someone stand outside or put a sign up or something pointing to the direction you want to go.
I hate the be the bearer of bad news but the 29th is on the labor day friday. No one is going to be there.
You need to move it. Why can’t we do it that Tuesday like we’ve always done?
