ParticipantIt could just be the awesome round I played, but I’m tempted to say Medic. “Wunderbar!”
I’ve been using soldier a lot when I play though. Hopefully when I get it myself (Been playing on Flake’s computer) I’ll get a better feel for the classes. Though Spy can be fun when I don’t screw it up…

Participantlol Stargate gun.
I don’t use the P90 often, but when I do it seems I’m guaranteed a least one kill. Point, click, and they crumple. At least if they’re close, like Liam said.

Now you guys are just coming up with excuses.Or their just getting ripped down. Which I am 100% sure that is the case in most of the missing fliers we placed on entryways and outside. Just because it may not have happened before, doesnt mean it can’t ever happen.
Especially since we used some pretty heavy duty tape…
Cacophony
ParticipantPretty much the day after the fact most of the fliers one could find outside or on doorways had been torn down. That’s not really the fault of the people who placed them. I don’t know about in the actual dorms themselves, though.

if i remember right all member fees reset this summer (they run fall – spring), so everyone pays this time, minus the execs?Whoa now. I paid 10 at the last LAN because I was told it would carry over to the next year. Are you saying I dropped the extra five just for the hell of it then? I’ll be a tad bit displeased if that turns out to be the case.

When was your freshman year Cacophony?I’m a junior now, so two years ago. It always seemed to be out of date, then off, then it was covered.
Maybe I just didnt pay very close attention to it.

Cacophony
ParticipantI thought they had turned that thing off for good? I don’t remember seeing it actually running since maybe my freshman year.
Cacophony
ParticipantErm, lower campus as in Walker and Scott and all those?
We (Flakes, Myself, and Co) went around a put some in each hall of Scott and all the exits. Walker got a few. FPAC has a couple on the exits followed by Belk, Leatherwood, Dodson, and the UC. I think there are supposed to be a few on light poles and such but I didnt look to see if they are still there.
Unless you mean lower as in Norton and stuff, in which case I havent a clue.
Cacophony
ParticipantOoo, thanks for pointing that out! *goes to fiddle with the settings*.
I considered putting an avatar up there just for fun, but I don’t think I care enough for the whole profile deal.
Cacophony
ParticipantEh, the friends list and chat thing arent exactly bad. I just don’t like the little pop ups in the corner of my screen telling me what so and so is doing or what so and so is saying to me.
I don’t really see any need for the profiles though. Steam isnt supposed to be a social networking program…

Meet the heavy :>You mean the Engineer?
Honestly, this might be my favorite video so far.
Cacophony
ParticipantWhere is the nothing option? At least when we are talking CS:S.

I only listen to music when playing zombie mod or gun game. When I was playing Dawn of War heavily online I listened to a play list Dragonforce, Luca Turelli, and Demons and Wizards. It made for epic battles.
Cacophony
ParticipantAnother?
Well, Happy Birthday!
Cacophony
ParticipantFlash is one of my favorites, but I couldnt remember if we needed 3 or 4 maps last time. And avalanche did get more votes.
There’s still time to change it up though I suppose.
Cacophony
ParticipantWell, I can agree with that there. Any changes made to the server should go through Brian since he is Council Leader. At least I was under the impression that it how things are supposed to go.

Those who think it’s about the points have it all wrongThen what’s the problem? Are you *edited*ed based on some principle? Or do you just care about points and are trying to downplay that fact?
Either way is incredibly lame. So the point modifier was lowered. The gun is still there. You can still play with it. And the gameplay is not effected by the points lowering.

ParticipantUpdate:
Ok, since my poll is delightfully popular I’ve got plenty of input to decide the maps we’re going to play!

It’s probably going to boil down to some combination of
dod_crash
dod_avalanche
dod_colmar
Colmar is a detonation map with both sides having two objections to protect making it fairly even. If we arent going to go detonation then I’d like to see dod_flash slipped in there.

ParticipantI’d like to stick with how I dealt with him when I first ran into him. Warn him. If people complain: Mute him. I don’t care what he’s playing (though I’d certainly feel more justified if he was playing utter crap like the last time I was on.)
I really don’t think he deserves any special treatment.
Cacophony
ParticipantAye, Happy Birthday!
Cacophony
ParticipantUgh, I only faintly remember this. I probably repressed the memory.
I couldn’t make it past the 2:30 mark though. It’s just…so…bad…

Participant“AB 1179 worked to empower parents by giving them the ultimate decision over whether or not their children should be playing in a world of violence and murder.”
If they are good enough parents then they should have already established their ultimate right over their children’s video gaming. Instead, the parents just buy their child a game without giving a *edited* about what it is, then see them run over some hooker in game, and go “WTF! How dare you sell this game to children!”
“There should be some system in place to warn us oh so concerned parents about the violent content! If there had been I wouldn’t have bought the game.”
Then it gets pointed out that it was rated Mature, they ignore that little juicy fact, and some lame *edited* politician jumps on the bandwagon, shows some Doom footage, and calls video games Satan’s next plot to control Earth.
Sigh. Rant over.
Cacophony
ParticipantHappy Birthday.
Cacophony
ParticipantI’m a fan of the 228. So, I wouldnt be against there being an award for it.
Cacophony
ParticipantThat video needed more Optimus Prime.

Cacophony
ParticipantThis always cracks me up:

ParticipantI think the map Dice is talking about is russka. The mini map is screwed. For me all it had was two A’s, two B’s, and blank green space. And some of the letters simply werent bomb sites. It was just an empty area.
subzero looks like a lot of fun. As does strata. desert atrocity looks fun as well, though is freaking huge.
The only problem with corse seems to be the mini map has the bomb sites inverted (A is B, B is A). And it looks too pretty. I don’t want my computer to get hurt trying to play it.
Cacophony
ParticipantI’ll take a look through my detonation maps and see what looks good. I’d love to play the D-Day map though. Any suggestions otherwise?
Cacophony
Participantde_strata, well, I’m willing to try any map at least once and see how it pans out.
I voted to out SK in favor of keeping SK3 because while I don’t mind SK I love SK3 and would much rather play SK3.
Get rid of awp_map? No thanks. I thought it was pretty fun and was a nice break in the usual style of game play every once in a while.
Cacophony
ParticipantIt’ll be worth it with TF2 coming out. Still, it was one of the few low ping servers that didnt suck. Shame it didnt populate.
Cacophony
ParticipantI win Bioshock.
No seriously. I just finished it and it was amazing. Now to just go through and harvest all those Little Sisters and see what changes.
