It isn’t a mod yet, TF2 is a full game and a sequel to the original Team Fortress. As to my knowledge it still hasn’t been open to beta’s, but this was about 3 hours ago and they may have opened up beta’s by now.
Orange Box is basically 5 games for $50 ($45 if you pre-order off of Steam). Half Life 2, Half Life 2: Episode 1, Half Life 2: Episode 2, Team Fortress 2, and Portals. I already have HL2 and Episode 1, but I can use the keys for HL2 and Episode 1 elsewhere, so 3 games I don’t have for $50 is not a bad deal

Definitely worth it to preorder, plus you can gift hl2 and hl2:episode 1 to a friend if you already have them
Will it give you separate keys? That’s the only reason why I’m not pre-ordering right now because I’m wanting to give HL2 and HL2:Ep1 to someone else via the DVD’s, but if I can just go ahead and pre-order it and give it to them already, I might as well
A) since you are buying from steam, no keys are directly involved; if the DVDs you have are not already registered on steam, you can go ahead and give those up I guess
You don’t get the games until the Orange Box is actually released (October 10th), at that time, there will be a little gift box next to the games you bought a multiple of, you can click the box and send the game to someone’s e-mail address, where they can add the game to their steam account.So basically everything is based on steam accounts, not CDs/DVDs or keys or any of that nonsense.

I pre-ordered, played it, let my 2 suite mates play it, we all loved it. 1 day later 2 more people have pre-orderd the orange box lol

I has it and holy *edited*, I’m in love. Once Caco’s computer is done he’ll probably be getting it as well, but for now it is awesome.
Krispies’s server is TF2, but yes, we needs to play some together

Just order it through steam. That’s how I got mine, it worked fine.
