I wouldn’t have changed anything except the hegrenade, knife, awp, autosnipe.
hegrenade and knife – not enough pts for those kills and these are good changes imo
awp – i agree completely with brian and lucky7, I think if the server had a limit 1 – it would be 1pt – but since it’s free reign it should be docked, but I don’t agree that when someone gets 5 awp kills in 1 rnd, he should only get 10 pts? I agree it should be somewhere in the .4-.5 range, though it is still a 1 kill weapon mainly.
I would keep the subs the same as they were at 1, same as the rifles, and the shotties – all weapons in basically the same power and/or rate of fire category
Pistols stay at 1.2, though you can 1shot kill with a few pistols, they still only have a small slip and short effective range, plus there is no spray involved with them.
Para, while obviously not in the smg/rifle/shotgun category with rate of fire and power, still costs a buttload, and is a 1pt modifier gun imo

Now this next statement is also in reply to nodice’s question – If I had a server the only reason I would lower a weapons point value is because it was specifically being taken advantage of by a majority of the server and needed nerfing. example… everyone saved up every rnd till they could get a para and 100 bullet clip? it’d be para wars, kinda ruining things… But the checks and balances with all the guns basically keep everything in check(after wasting 15k on paras and dying to an awp/m4/etc everytime, it’s not worth it), imo.
Can reasons for all the changes please be put up? I’m not debating anything, just like to see the thought process.

not to ruin this or anything, but just raise a pertinent question – should changes like this be considered admin only, or are they changes that should be talked about before going into effect? Are point values and such, things that should be given a voice by the community? I’m not badgering the admins here, just wondering where the line is drawn. Either way a reasonable answer will quench my wondering mind.
I think that to crucify pink over this is absurd. I believe that a lot of people will agree with me when I say Pink is a voice of reason and/or voice of opposition in these forums. I’m guessing he’s a very smart man from his posts. He might not even believe everything he writes, but he voices the lesser side for the sake of everyone. I love reading pinks posts, he brings up new angles, most of which are very relevant and he’s never offensive towards anyone. I think he does not deserve one bit of criticism, whether it is trying to present another side of a ban, a well reasoning on maps or other things asking for comments, or this thread. I think he presents his opinion in full and does a very good job. He thinks through his posts, as I should probably do more, and reasons everything. He has posted many times he thinks you guys do a *edited* good job of running the servers, but anytime he has a suggestion or voices an opinion different from the crowd you guys nail him? I don’t understand, take some of the comments and criticism to mind, and think maybe he has a point. Think through things, then don’t yell at him, but reason.

Here is the deal, I said I’d stop playing here for 2 reasons, agree or disagree with them I don’t care:
1)Yesterday I left Charlotte early for Columbia, worked 14 hours, got home at about 1 or so to find out this was done? I was *edited*ed kinda over reacted.
2)Would it have brought as much attention to this injustice(use another word I dont’ care, reasons to follow) if I had just posted a thread w/o saying it?

If the change was made for a few good reasons, hey that’s fine leave it where it is, post the reasons.
I’m not trying to sacrifice up the admins who do so much work for this server and I understand, respect, and love that. I started a *edited* admin love thread, you guys do a hell of a job. I just think this was not handled correctly.
I think I have every right to be *edited*ed off. Leaving it at that.
Guys i’m not gonna keep on this thread, you can duke it out… But i’ll put in my view of this.
Those who think it’s about the points have it all wrong, I loved bein up in pts when i was playing 8+ hours a day, but summer is the slow season in the business I’m in.
I’m not trying to compare myself to zoso or anything but I think he can agree that there’s somethin about the shotty that’s just fun to play with. I have been, and am a very good player with other guns, the first 3 months I was on this server I never even used a shotty. Then zoso mentioned about his 1500+ shotty kills, and well I just got carried away, but I found a love for a new weapon at the same time.
I don’t give a *edited* about the points, I care that you guys are directly discriminating against a particular gun of the same caliber as all other 1.0 modifier guns. so because now on rounds 2-5 there are a lot more shotties(5v2?) being used because it’s $1700, and less mp5s, you drop it down? I just don’t see any logic here.
I hit session a lot to see my headshot percentage a la the time being so I can correct my aim(as I suggest everyone does, it’s a very good technique I kinda hopped off nub), not to see that i’ve lost another 50 pts or gained another 10.
That’s all I’m saying about this subject, I don’t think a gun in the same class as the others should be discriminated against.
About the points? I think it’s funny that you say 2k shotty kills and i’m 20 or 30 somethin on the rankings, and I care about points. If I cared about points I’d be one of those crazy guys who are amazing with flashes and knife like crazy. I’ll be the first to admit I had a *edited*-ton of fun the week or two when the server was down and there was no point system. Though I firmly believe for the future of the server and to keep it a kick-*edited* top 50 server and the great community, it needs one.
I have a few other things but nothing important enough to talk about on here. And it’s late.
Some are filled with joy, and others with desperate hopes. But it’s the ones filled with fear that I like the most. For when you turn that corner, thinkin of who your gonna blast. I get there first, and stick my shotgun up your *edited*…
pink i’ve played through a few, I agree with you, the wall is awesome – i’ve always been intrigued by the siege on the castle kind of thing. And that map nails it, I think it’s fun and I personally dont’ like sniper rifles but it’s very fun.

ok, i’d just like to say that first attempt at forum07′ was a failure. 3 people… But it’s ok, that’s a start boys… any more suggestions on a different date and time?
I know this wont’ solve the problem, but many monitors nowadays have vidIO on them as well as dvi/vga. So this might help with one or two screens if anyone can bring one? Also back in PA I have a projector w/ inputs I’m willing to donate, won’t be here by the LAN but as soon as I get back there I’ll try to remember to bring it down. It was top of the line $4500 about 4 or 5 years ago, they haven’t changed a whole lot recently besides the bulb life(which still cost like $400 freakin dollars). But I don’t use it and it works on any whitish wall.
Yeah I completely agree with you on the gameplay and AI issues. Overall my offense is ok, but I have no idea about most of the defensive schemes, I get the general point, more db’s = more pass prot., more lb’s and line = more run prot. But after that it goes hazy and I get lightheaded.
what can I say? It’s a good gun, If it gets an award it’s the only gun I’ll use for the next week. If all else, you guys can be happy you won’t get shotty-*edited*ed around corners for a week.post away you fun limiting admin… :*( haha jk… but seriously I just kind of play maps not taking into consideration a lot of all that mumbo jumbo. Pink’s comments on those maps were extremely enlightening and I like his points. So I’d appreciate hearing another view of other things.
A few weeks ago I started a thread about Assault, and though I love the map, it kills the server and I would say it should be the first to go.
Others I could see going out (pls don’t flame at me… just suggesting), Port, Italy blitz (It’s been played to it’s effect maybe once while i’ve been on?), awpmap till it gets fixed and can be played without an admin, and I guess militia to make it an even 5.
I love almost all the new maps posted, have only played 2 though. But I think the 1 new map a week idea is a great idea. Maybe have a poll on here to vote which new map during the weekend to get a balanced approach instead of just doing everything THE ADMINS want to do… haha jk… maybe… but seriously… ok nm

I think that’s a great idea, adds to the humiliation. I don’t really feel humiliated right now if i ever get knifed, my body hasn’t been desecrated lately. And I think this will help add some rush technique to a losing team.
I have a question/comment – I know this isn’t how it’s designed, because the TB takes current information. But would it be able to store 1 map of info at a time and erase it at the end of the map.
I know this is a lot more complicated than I think so don’t kill me.
But if you record the kills/deaths throughout the game then people that d/c and rejoin for money or whatever won’t mess up the TB, Also you can get a better reading of trends and such. With it recording the information from both teams and stacking that info up side by side in a list, it might be able to make better decisions and avoid getting swaphappy with one or two players.
Just talkin so if this is just poo poo, someone crap on me and tell me not to dabble in comp stuff.
I agree, I think the round times are good. The only problem with changing the round times is that on some maps… like say lost temple or thunder or some other ones where it may be hard to find people or there are good places to camp when your t or ct respectively, it keeps things moving. With a longer round timer we wouldn’t get near the rounds we get in as we do now. Which in my experience is generally between 15 and 25 or so. I think it’s very balanced, I took a little time to get used to it from the other 3 min servers I play. But I love it now and hate playing there because the game is slowed down.
