Look, Like I already said, that is a typical score for your computer. IDK how you got a 4.7 before (dice hax?!?) but the hardware is not malfunctioning. If you didn’t change anything on your computer, IDK what you did but there is nothing “wrong” unless someone stole your videocard and replaced it with a different model (the dv9700t also can come with an 8600M GS, which WOULD pull a 4.7 rating). If someone stole your PC, call the p0l1c3.
Just get that one from HP; its 174.32 which is much newer than your current one. Try it and see if it works.
windows update probably grabbed a new graphics driver for you; get either an updated one from HP and try it or download one from laptopvideo2go.com. DO NOT get drivers from nvidia.com for a laptop, they fail pretty hard and are usually pretty outdated (I noticed your graphics driver said 9/17/2007 and it was driver version 156.65, that is *edited* OLD, they are up to 180.xx drivers now; don’t use anything older than 175.xx)

Also, it’s my honest opinion that Steam is what is keeping PC gaming afloat. Many developers don’t even want to do PC games anymore because of the piracy problems. Steam cuts that down immensely, which is why more and more developers are using it.

Valve makes some of the best, most stable games for the PC. They are tested pretty *edited* hard beforehand. But they cannot come up with every possible exploit before shipment and when they do find them, they can patch them instantly, unlike most developers.
I hate to break it to you but a 3.4 is a normal score for an 8400GS. I know, Susan’s computer has one. No way you got a 4.7 before unless vista just completely f’ed up.
On a side note, I thought you had an 8600GT?

I am thinking maybe play left 4 dead and 1.6, that way (most) everybody has something to play and everyone should be happy.

well as I said its like diablo; you can play online in co-op but I never do. Google the PC reqs yourself.

And I can’t believe the MX revolution only has 800 dpi. A 100 dollar mouse seems that it should be a bit better….I have the G5 and I ALWAYS use it at the 800dpi setting… same for my old ideazon reaper. Unless you REALLY like a super high dpi, its pretty worthless IMO
