Well, not really. But something really cool has happened. About a year ago, I a donated a bunch of games to The Angry Video Game Nerd. One of those games was Mario is Missing for the NES. Just tonight, he released a video-review of that very game! When I saw it, I started running/dancing around the house. I provided The Nerd with a game, which he used to make a video that will be seen by thousands upon thousands of people! I played a part in making a popular internet video! I HAVE TOUCHED THE SKY!Admitedly, there is no way for me to prove that I did any of these things. After all, he didn’t mention my name in the video or anything. But, really, why would I lie about something like this?
I believe you. That is pretty awesome. Only why didn’t you keep those games? Maybe a collectors item that you could have auctioned off for moneys in the future

I’m out. You compare MJ to God/Jesus then say you aren’t trying to compare them. That post makes you a complete moron and not worthy of further time expenditure trying to save your *edited* from the endless pit of complete retardation.Btw, I like how you completely dodged my point then called me tool.
The point wasn’t to compare MJ with Jesus. Bad comparison, but you can connect with someone, anyone, and mourn their death even if you never met them. Granted I used a bad example, but since when did this become a course in proper composition structure. THE POINT was you can be emotionally attached to words, lyrics, and the message of someone and therefore care for someone whom you never met, or even cry when that person dies, because regardless of meeting them or not, they still affected you in your life. You talked about my mother, regardless if it was indirect, and although at first I initially told you to *edited* off, I retracted that statement and tried to put something a little more civil. Let me rephrase what I meant to say. You have one of the most narrow minded mentalities in the *edited*ing world, but not that you care. The biggest issue you have is your lack of respect for others viewpoints, and the only assumption you can make for your lack of understanding others, is they are dumber than you. People like you should be shipped to an island of giant ants and eaten alive.

Anyone crying during office meetings over the death of someone they had never met has issues. Had the “old decrepit stingy white people” refused to give her sympathy she could have sued them. Wouldn’t have been the first time it’s been done. There’s nothing wrong with being sad but we as a society are too obsessed with figureheads. Regardless of how good a singer he was or how great you think he was, you never met or knew him. He could have been an atomic *edited*, you really don’t know. You should not be that upset about his death.
Well it was a meeting on vacation. They took her to Napa Valley and strawberry Fields, and were discussing new terms on where to get there berries from. You can have a connection with someone you never met. God is a great example, I’ve never met Him. Nor Jesus, but I still have a very close connection to both of them. No I am not trying to relate those two figures with Jackson, but the point is you can mourn someone you never met. His music may not have moved you, but it certainly has others, and the mourning of an Iconic figure is just as important to some people as like losing Princess Dianna, or JFK, or Martin Luther, or MLKjr. All these people had messages and importance to thousands of people that they never actual met. Youre a tool and a fool who thinks you know everything. People aren’t all totally rational, we have emotion, some more than others, and to call emotional people, people with issues is stereo-typing it bit. You have an issues like everyone else.
newrayzParticipantnever made fun of heston.
And no sorry, I’ve never joked about someone RIGHT AFTER they croaked. That’s just *edited*ing rude, no matter who it is. Never on the same day, or the following days of mourning. A few months or years from now? I could care less. But people are still crying man. My mom had to walk out of a meeting with higher up’s because she couldn’t stop crying. And those cold sadistic *edited*s that she works for, understood her feelings and gave her some time. Hard to believe old decrepit stingy white people have more feelings than some people cough.
I’m not saying you can’t joke about people when they die, it’s a good way to ease pain, and is done a lot at funerals. But I guess there is a way to go about it. You wouldn’t say “dang so and so she was a SLLLUTTTTT!!! hahahaha!” thats *edited*ing rude man.

So if the Sugarhill Gang all died…MajorMajorMajor would be utterly destroyed…thats how I feel with MJ. Not utterly destroyed….but he was my favorite musician, and had a HUGE impact on my life. I grew up in an abusive household, and had I not had my music to keep me level, I probably would have wound up hanging on a noose.i still can’t believe he is gone. I got his hits on repeat, hoping he will come back =(
newrayzParticipantIt’s like Yo Momma jokes. It’s funny, until the kid seriously says “My mom is dead you *edited*”, then its just awkward and you feel bad. Major said it a few posts back, how can people personalize so much with a stranger. Stranger happens to be MJ, and when one listens to his music for years, you do get kind of personal with the name. I was walking around last night (last few days in Barcelona), and in the biggest most important square in Barcelona, Plaza Catalunya, there was a memorial set up for MJ. This square is easily 100 square meters in area, and the area the memorial covered was probably 2/3rds of that. Endless sea of candles, flowers, pictures, letters, you name it. All I have to say, is sure crack your jokes, but I bet you wouldn’t crack them there.
It’s a very emotional time and very big deal for many people. I think what Raven was trying to say, along with respecting the dead, respect people’s feelings at a time of mourning. He could have maybe been less direct, but then again, how would you respond to people calling someone you connect with who just died, names and cracking jokes? It’s very offensive tbh. Here, how about you think of your favorite musician, or someone who has inspired you at all. Now imagine he/she died, how would you respond to humorless jokes and allegations told the same day of that persons death? If you can’t imagine that anger, well then, you my friend don’t have a soul =/
At the same time though, these are just forums on an imaginary thing we have collectively created called the internet, dominated by porn, games, and violence. So things like respect, souls, personalization, things that actually matter to people; don’t really belong.

Blow up dolls and flesh lights don’t count.Harsh? Perhaps…but no more harsh than cracking jokes about the dead in hopes that people will think you’re actually witty, instead of some poor forum lurker who quotes television and copies and pastes jokes. Sorry, but somebody who can’t respect the dead, and makes jokes about the deceased, doesn’t deserve anything less than “harsh”, and is down right dispicable.
Btw, if he was so guilty, why did they find him innocent on his second charge in 04? Apparently they had enough evidence to put him away for life. Oh dear, he bought the courts!11!
“From what I hear” belongs nowhere in the conversation. What self respecting parent accepts money, after some guy molested their child? Not a very good one. If I was that parent, and he actually did those things to my child, not only would I not drop the charges, but I would have been out for blood. As a celebrity as big as Michael Jackson, and with as immature as he was (due to lack of a childhood), you would hate to be called a monster, and would do anything to make it go away. Not only that, but the person Michael paid off, Evan Chandler (father of the “victim”) was abusive to his own family to begin with. It’s plain STUPID to assume he did it based on what you “think” you know, and its down right LOGICAL to believe they were after his money, but NOOOOO, he’s a celebrity, so he HAS TO be guilty. It’s also known that they had even MORE evidence for the second charge against him, which he was found innocent on.
Quit comparing this to OJ. There isn’t even close to as much evidence to suggest the accusations are true in Michaels case. In fact, just the opposite, which is why he was found NOT GUILTY.
What is with you people? You base your opinions on media image, and not those of cold hard factual information, and the FACT remains, that he was found innocent on ALL counts, so you’re opinions are null and invalid. I revert back to what I said before, with the advances in forensic evidence we have, they would have found him guilty, had he done it.
</conversation>
*edited*ing owned.
btw, i said all this, just not in a bad *edited* raven kind of way. I don’t get it either though, I mean if you really believed he was a pedo, jokes aside, why would you listen to his music? It’s like when i found out Tommy Hill Figure was a racist prick, i stopped buying all his clothes, or how bout when peewee herman got caught jacking off in the bath room, or michael vick was thrown in jail for killing dogs. The difference is all those people were guilty, MJ was not. But still people call him a child molester, yet still will throw his music on. I call that hypocritical, and well those people should burn tbh. Doesn’t make sense to me, to call a guy a pedo, but then turn around and do the moonwalk or thriller or jam to billie jean.
I’m not sure if this makes any sense, i’m quite drunk off of sangria. only two more days in barcalona =(

Did I miss something here or did NO ONE say that molesting little boys made him less of a musical genius? How did questioning his abilities as a musician come into play? Also, Major, I was sending that around on my phone last night, roffle. It’s so bad.

If he really was a pedophile no amount of singing could ever have made him “great.”also recon’s friend brought up a similar argument. learn2read? jk <3 don’t kill me plz

newrayzParticipantIf he was a pedophile, how does that take away from his musical genius? It absolutely does not. I don’t condone that kind of behavior, but his personal behavior and musical genius are two separate spheres.
Lets look at other “greats”. Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle, all had relations with boys. Granted it was a different time, but still if you want to link behavioral similarities, then one could argue that these “flaws” should take away from their genius. But it doesnt. All three of those geniuses, are still learned about, still talked about, and still thought as “greats”. Who by the way, had relations with little boys. Now, even if MJ had relations with boys (which i believe he didn’t), he will still be thought as the king of pop. Like Raven said, you drones keep thinking he was a pedo, with absolutely no proof, except for some cleaning lady who got her kid to say “MJ touched me”. It is much more logical to think he was targeted for his money. And the “sharing my bed” thing, still doesn’t prove he’s a pedo, it just proves he’s a little coo-coo.
newrayzParticipantI bought a shirt today that had MJ and ET side by side. and it said “going home”

Here’s how I explained it to my clan on my teams site:You could *edited* in a gas can thats half full, pour motor oil in it, shake it up to mix it up real nice, and they’d still be able to trace the *edited*. Yet with the strip search they did on Michael at Neverland Ranch, they couldn’t confirm the boys accusations that they apparently had constant penis contact and apparently blew the bejebus out of eachother. The first boy even gave a description of Michael’s penis, and it wasn’t a match.
It’s more rational and just plain common sense to believe that Michael was a rich man, and these families saw an opportunity, based on Michaels personality (which was the way it was because he had absolutely NO childhood).
100000% agreed +1.

Yeaaaah, the system doesn’t always work.I’m not saying that he was guilty of the claims, but don’t talk about the court system like it’s flawless.
true, but it works both ways. People get set up all the time. Guilty people don’t always get found guilty, and sometimes innocents get thrown in jail. Glad it didn’t happen to MJ, but it did stress him out, probably a big reason he croaked at 50 =./
