Last night, I was having an argument with an idiot on Facebook about Michael Jackson. He said he was *edited*ed off that Jackson’s death was getting more coverage than the North Korean situation. I tried explaining to him that all known details of that situation are already known and when more details immerge the media will focus on it. Right now everyone is surprised about Jackson’s death and so it’s a big story. Admitedly, the media is overplaying it, but there’s no logical connection to North Korea. Then he compared Jackson to Hitler or something. Stupid people are stupid.
It is unknown whether or not Michael Jackson really was a pedophile. He was certainly a troubled and weird man, but he was also one of the most talented singers in the history of recorded music.
He did admit to sleeping with those kids. I believe he said “whats wrong with sharing your bed with the most beautiful thing?”

now understand, no part of me is happy he died, in fact its always terrible when someone dies unexpectedly, but the person who told me was sobbing and THAT itself is hilarious that people would personalize it like that.

You could *edited* in a gas can thats half full, pour motor oil in it, shake it up to mix it up real nice, and they’d still be able to trace the *edited*. Yet with the strip search they did on Michael at Neverland Ranch, they couldn’t confirm the boys accusations that they apparently had constant penis contact and apparently blew the bejebus out of eachother. The first boy even gave a description of Michael’s penis, and it wasn’t a match.
It’s more rational and just plain common sense to believe that Michael was a rich man, and these families saw an opportunity, based on Michaels personality (which was the way it was because he had absolutely NO childhood).

There is no way I’d let my kids stay at his ranch, but I’m not going to say he was a pedo, because there was no absolute proof.
Let me rephrase that. I wouldn’t let my children go stay with somebody I didn’t know. If I knew him, and his own kids were present, like for a sleepover, I might let it happen.

A friend of mine yesterday was complaining how everyone “forgot that he was a pedophile” and when I tried to explain to him that his musical talent and his effect on modern music made him an amazing man, he replied with “so I guess we should just forget that OJ is a killer and just focus on his football abilities.”

But people who do amazing things in their lives are remembered for those things. Look at Christopher Columbus. He raped and pillaged villages when he arrived to the America’s just because he could, but he is still better known for “discovering” the America’s. It’s not forgotten that MJ did some “questionable” things (to say the least), but what he did for modern music and the video-revolution of music is what he has ALWAYS been known for and always will be. Like I said, he was creepy as *edited* and wasn’t psychologically stable but still, would you rather be BETTER remembered for the good things you did or the bad?

If he was a pedophile, how does that take away from his musical genius? It absolutely does not. I don’t condone that kind of behavior, but his personal behavior and musical genius are two separate spheres.
Lets look at other “greats”. Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle, all had relations with boys. Granted it was a different time, but still if you want to link behavioral similarities, then one could argue that these “flaws” should take away from their genius. But it doesnt. All three of those geniuses, are still learned about, still talked about, and still thought as “greats”. Who by the way, had relations with little boys. Now, even if MJ had relations with boys (which i believe he didn’t), he will still be thought as the king of pop. Like Raven said, you drones keep thinking he was a pedo, with absolutely no proof, except for some cleaning lady who got her kid to say “MJ touched me”. It is much more logical to think he was targeted for his money. And the “sharing my bed” thing, still doesn’t prove he’s a pedo, it just proves he’s a little coo-coo.
