If they don’t even try then there’s no incentive to buy. I mean PC players being loyal purchasers got us this Modern Warfare 2 nonsense so why bother anymore?

Doubtful. The ability to do this is already in place but Microsoft won’t flip the switch.
It’s in the AMX voting system but whether or not it can be used without a vote is anyone’s guess. Should be, but may take some work to make it so.
I much prefer Classic Battletech to Warhammer. The older Warhammer is basically a copy of Battletech so I can’t say I dislike it.
They’re both about too expensive to be played by college kids. Definately not a bad hobby if you can find other people that also play. I don’t think WCU has many though. It definately doesn’t help that only Central has enough space to set up a game table. Balsam might if the room is arranged well in the right way but you’d have to have an agreeable roommate.
Truth of the matter is that this club was built entirely on the back of CS1.6 and CSS.
The “new” students may not like it but the fact of the matter is that if you abandon the games that built this club you’re essentially forcing yourself to start entirely over on the PC side.
What happened this last LAN was the equivalent of consoles going from CoD4/Halo3/SSBB to Halo1/SSB/Guitar Hero 1. It’s a generational leap backwards and while it might still draw crowds you’re going to seriously *edited* off the existing crowd in the process. Hence the lowest turnout in years on the PC side. It’ll take years to rebuild the PC side on the games it seems you want to play and while you “new” guys may get a kick out of hosting LAN games my netbook can play, the majority of us like flashy explosions and 16xAA.

Very doubtful. Vista apps didn’t work in XP.
Btw, I use Win7’s Paint more than I use Photoshop CS4. It’s drastically easier and does just as well IMO.

After getting screwed by saying we’d have pizza it’s probably best if the only things definately laid out on it are the date, times, and games.
Keep in mind that campus printing is much different this year than it was last year. All the printers are managed by a 3rd party company that the school pays per sheet printed. They can no longer directly eat the cost and write it off and any page printed for us has to be budgeted.

Ever wonder where the movies came from? Of course not, you didn’t care. Well, here’s some history. With even less of a budget last year we bought those to give as prizes. Not really we actually, Nickname bought them, I paid him back, and the club paid me back. They were to be the sole prize. As L4D wasn’t completed the winning team at the time opted to not take the prize and leave it for this LAN.
So yeah, it was decided LAST semester that the next L4D tournament would have those movies as prizes. Glad you guys read the memo…
Btw, as a L4D elite player, anyone who runs ahead of the group is hurting their team. It doesn’t matter if you call it “scouting” or being a “meat shield” you’re just as useless to your team. Anyone who thinks this tactic is useful is just plain retarded. Sorry to be blunt but that tactic never works. Never has and never will. It’s a team game and going solo in a team game pretty much puts your team at a man down. If the other team had any coordination at all it would have been a near-instant roll.

Well you missed it then. TAG’s zombie was especially good but it’s degraded significantly in recent years.
Basically unlimited ammo, no reloading, zombies with insano amounts of health. They knife you and you turn into a zombie.
Good mod but an absolute nightmare to admin and even harder for a server to host.

Well, there were some issues where the game just froze all of a sudden. There was quite a bit of swearing going on too when the game locked up or froze.

How many people were having this issue and who were they?
Want to determine if it’s a network or server issue.
