Back to the topic at hand.
I will say that what we have is working but tweaks can always make it better, such as trying out new customs like spain suggested, or removing pf_dust like i hear the whole server whine, but only 2 or 3 on the forums.
I still think that we should pop up another server 1.6. i feel there is a want for it and there is definitely a population for it and if it fails its always possible to take it off.
Yes please send a link to the map or upload the map to a post as we would love to try it out.

If i was to change the regular 1.6 server to purely dust2/inferno/office/snow and other REALLY popular maps and then introduce a 15 slot, votemap custom map server, how popular is that idea?
I’ve asked Liam to set up one for us. I’m pretty sure that there is an AFK kicker and it has been kicking me when I go afk and i know its none of you.
As for the ping kicker, we will have it set to 150 and see how that goes. Request uber slap in another thread noob.

How do i request to get a 24/7 custom map server? at a meeting?

Just for the “I told you so”, this is a mistake. If you want custom crap all the time make it a votemap at the end of the round as this will have about the same result. People don’t want to learn a new map every couple days only to have it removed a few days later. It’s pointless.I tend to agree with this and ive come to realize about 55% of the regulars on the server are stat *edited*s and would rather play dust2/inferno all day.
As much as i would love to do that try out period, i think the server would generally dislike it and i think the best way to introduce any new maps is one at a time and see how the server reacts. If they love it, keep it in, if they hate it immediately take it out, and if they are “meh” about it, take it out and try a new one. We have a couple maps that started out great but are starting to over stay their welcome ie. de_pf_dust and could use a new map there.
For now we are just going to leave it as it is. I think in the future it may be useful but as for now, only Admin and Exec will have the ability to have slot reservation.
Ok first off
NoDice has been helping me out greatly with the server as I sorta noob with mods and such. He’s the Alumni Adviser and he is advising me on many things and I really appreciate it. I also like the fact that he takes initiative with finding things out that can help out the server, such as finding out about the SK crashes, and looking into spawn editor mods to fix the maps up. He may have crossed the line with moving posts around, but as i see it, that sort of discussion does not belong in the 1.6 area.
As for those maps, is there any way we can find out which ones are most popular and we add those and try them out. Ive been encouraging the move to more custom maps since i became CL but have been trying to stay conservative for many of the people who come to play on the server want that. I think it would be a great idea to test out a few maps and see what people think because it prevents WCU from becoming static.
People who play some on GT: toss out some map names from that list that you really like and ill throw up a vote and see which ones are most popular with you guys. Then we can start some trials and see what maps are popular with the rest of the server. I’m def not gonna add all those maps because that is ridiculous.

1) For hackers, we usually have an admin on at all times, even into the wee night. if there is a hacker on pm me or any other admin that u have on ur friend list. We also have many admins idling IRC, so u can check there too. And eventually we hope to have out Vent server back up and you can pop in on there to grab a hold of us too. And if all else fails, grab the steam id and we will pass the word around to watch again for the hacker.
2) Last night, where we were voting what we have on the server. I have put up 20 threads asking people to give suggestions for awesome maps along with links, but people have either just said PUT STAR WARS and left, or just decide to complain on the server once fun night have started. I’m willing to take suggestions and i encourage it. Just post links that you want in a fun night thread and ill see that they get on the server.
3) As for the regular rotation. please post complaints and map suggestions. I would appreciate it. This server is ran by suggestions that you have so give them to me. As for GT, they are lame…. don’t play there
.4) Survivor is a map on the server and several people have asked for it back and i will throw up a vote to see what people think at a later date. If it doesn’t make it to the rotation, soon we are planing on an “Old School Nite” where we play all the old non played maps, and survivor will defiantly be on there.
5) Please post more and get admin. Your a good guy and i would like it if you were an admin. Just post more, give suggestions to help the server out and hopefully then it won’t “suck”.

I will add, that as an American there is a 4th Best Way to drink beer.
The Super Bowl Beer, or any football game. Watching a game that gets you blood pumping while tossing a few back is just an awesome experience. Especially if your team wins. And even if your team lost, you still are drunk enough to think you can go kick the opposing teams asses. That alone is an awesome adventure.

Im just saying that the most popular servers w/ ctf maps and non off/def cp maps have instant respawn and i dont see why we cant enable it on some of the maps.
