ParticipantWell Im sticking with Smash every Saturday for sure (and luckily, my Wii will be back to me from Nintendo on Monday). Lots of people play it (as indicated by the votes) and everyone that has come to them so far has improved greatly. From what Ive seen, this is going to be the best Brawl tournament this university has seen!
FTE Kaz-Ka
ParticipantAh, I thought u meant about the event itself. My bad Audyo. You can bring whatever you want any Saturday their is just one rule. Smash is played on the projector.
FTE Kaz-Ka
ParticipantIt wasn’t a LAN meeting, it was the Smash’n Saturday event and i just wanted to get people’s opinion’s on how they would like a Team Smash tournament to be held, that’s all.

Yeah.. Give me more of a heads up. I had already made plans. I suggest if you’re doing to go ahead and plan for next week, start talking to people about equipment now and figure out what games and consoles you want.Ive been telling people on these forums about this for a while now. It was even on the main page for a while, if people dont know about it by now then they probably dont care. All in all though, its lots of fun and I believe the Brawl tournament at the LAN this year is gonna be great.

ParticipantThanks Eyce. I dont think Im gonna be able to set up early like I usually do because Kim told me that supposedly someone else reserved it from 5 till 6 but 6 is still the best arrival time for everyone. well hey, maybe they wont show up at 5 and i can set up early anyway…… lol
FTE Kaz-Ka
ParticipantYea, thats probably what Im going to try to do, gotta get my PS3 fixed first. lol
FTE Kaz-Ka
ParticipantLook everyone, Im not trying to start anything over this, its just something that I wanted to try get to happen, thats all. I’m not trying to make a big deal out of the fact that we couldn’t get a PS3 game into the LAN, I understand that and its ok. Im just going to do what Ive been doing and try to promote it on Saturdays.
FTE Kaz-Ka
ParticipantOk, thanks
FTE Kaz-Ka
ParticipantActually Audyo I did talk to him wednesday about some idea that he had in mind, I dont know if he forgot to tell me something or if he just didnt want to mention anything but nevertheless I do want to hear what you or him have to say if any of you two have any ideas, I don’t want to just hear ideas regarding the PS3. And another thing, what is an IRC?
FTE Kaz-Ka
ParticipantIll definitley bring mine if it stops acting like it hates me and actually reads the disks I put in it.

Just for the sake of clarification: is there a PS3 game in there somewhere?I was hoping that their was but their isn’t. Its pretty much the same console games as last year except for Mario Kart Wii, which to me is a shame but oh well I suppose. Gotta go by what received the most votes. Honestly, I want a PS3 as an official game at the LAN but it seems as if people are to afraid to push for it.
FTE Kaz-Ka
ParticipantOk. Honestly I just need to see how people respond to a Smash Teams Tournament at the LAN based off of what I was told the Club would allow (even though I would prefer a few changes, which I will bring up later). Me and Shangi want to hold a meeting next Friday to talk about the LAN for those of you who dont know, so everyone try to show up. We have a lot to discuss concerning some new ideas for the club to help possibly expand it. If anyone has any questions just AIM me at OneWingedAngel2x
FTE Kaz-Ka
ParticipantTo break the tie, we are going to go with Mario Kart Wii.
FTE Kaz-Ka
Participantyea, same here. I’m having it as a playable game at my smash event this saturday. Its the PS3 version though. the control layout is the same as the 360 so using the ps3 controller isn’t different at all/
FTE Kaz-Ka
ParticipantHonestly I love it and can’t wait to see if its at the LAN and if so how many people show up for it.
FTE Kaz-Ka
Participantwe dont do 3 stock competitive matchs we do 2, 3 takes to long in brawl but in melee yea, we play 3 stock. We do do the banned maps. Don’t underestimate us here at West though, we do have some good Smashers here. If you want to come on over and see what were made of, come on by Central Drive next Saturday.
FTE Kaz-Ka
ParticipantThis 6pm will be the latest time I have everything set up but I usually get this stuff set up an hour in advance. Its in a the multipurpose room at Central.
FTE Kaz-Ka
Participantlol. Yea, Im hoping to get the room again next weekend, Ive already emailed kim about it. Also, for those who didnt hear, Im going to hosting a dual Smash and Soul Calibur thing next week to see how much eveyone around here likes SC IV
FTE Kaz-Ka
ParticipantMeh, I got bored and decided to give it a shot.
Ugh, I can’t get the whole design to upload, its to big.

ParticipantI’m registered and ready to go!
FTE Kaz-Ka
ParticipantIll be running for Console President and possibly VP so any votes are great appreciated.
FTE Kaz-Ka
ParticipantI will definitely be there, I have quite a few things to pitch to the club besides my weekly Smash event.
FTE Kaz-Ka
ParticipantYea, if anyone is willing to bring a 360, you can, I dont care. Whoever brings it though will have bring their own 360 and TV cause the projection screen will be for Brawl since that is the headlining event. We MAY have spacing issues though if somone else brings another Wii or 360 because I have promised room for a PS3 to Josh Saturday, but still feel free to bring one if you like. Also, I know this is a little off topic but I wouldnt mind running an actual tournament for anything PS3 or Wii related since I do have both systems. I wouldnt be able to do anything with soon with the Wii though because mine is going in to Nintendo for repair. I might try to bring this up next Friday during the meeting.

I already did, come to the first meeting and run for the position.Yea I kind of forgot that you did, it seems like it has been a long time since I had last gotten on here before coming back to West. By the way, when is the first meeting anyway because I don’t remember hearing about that at all.
FTE Kaz-Ka
ParticipantWell Kim is helping me print off some fliers to put around Central and she is forwarding them to all the other RDs/Ras for me so hopefully this thing will be HUGE! Also, I need someone to try to bring a copy of Melee if they can because I kinda sold mine (lol) and I know some people are gonna want to play that as well as Brawl.

Your doing all these events and yet you haven’t ran for Console President yet? You know it makes things easier if you do
Well hey, I will, you just tell me what I have to do!

I think a mini LAN early in the semester would be a great thing for all incoming freshman, and guys like myself who are just returning back to the University after some time off, if not just for some casual gaming and joking around. And I intend to do something just like that with the Smash event.

ParticipantSWEET! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Participant“Smash’n Saturdays”
“To kick off the beginning of the fall semester, come on down to Central Drive’s Multi Purpose Room and play some Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Its free of charge and all are welcome, so be there at 6pm!”
Feel free to re-word this a little if you think you can make it sound better. Also, I may need someone to bring a Wii because mine is just not playing Brawl for some reason. EYECE said he thinks he could bring one but if anyone else could too, thats be great. Again, I really appreciate all the help that you guys are giving me in making this happen.
