YahooEarth: Sacramento does not have a lot of money. They just recently signed Nocioni to a long contract and I’m pretty sure their stadium is one of the least packed in the NBA so they don’t even pull in a lot of revenue. They’re definitely not spending more money on Gordon when they have Kevin Martin (a very capable shooting guard). And who says Vince Carter isn’t going to be picked up again? You are aware of the fact that VC’s contract runs for 2 more seasons right? No one is gonna trade for VC when he costs $16-17M per year. He’s staying in NJ.
Why wouldn’t NY be an option? Marbury comes off the books ($18.6M) and Wilcox comes off the books ($6.75M) now. The Knicks also need some guards badly b/c Duhon broke down last season and Nate is still too inconsistent.
The Knicks will have enough money 2 yrs from now to go after some all-stars even if they resign David Lee & sign Ben Gordon this off-season. You know why? Because 2 yrs from now: Hughes comes off the books ($13.6M), Mobley comes off the books ($9.5M), QRich comes off the books ($9.3M), and Harrington comes off the books ($10M).
Also, if NY goes after Ben Gordon, it’s not like he’s gonna get a 5 yr contract. With the current economy, those big contracts are history for now.

Changing the rotation every 2-3 months isn’t changing it “so much”. I think it would be more silly to have the same rotation for half a year. That just screams out boredom!
After seeing people attempting to crouch run today, it seems like they can still do it only for a little bit. They start to lose speed after the third or fourth hop. So I guess we’re still enforcing the ‘no crouch running’ rule.

I think it’s time for a new map rotation. We’ve had this current one for over 2 months now and a lot of people have been complaining about de_westwood and cs_deagle5. I would love to see more maps on the rotation b/c it seems like we’re playing the same maps over and over again.
*Maps that should join the new rotation from the current one: de_dust2, de_inferno, de_aztec, de_nuke, fy_snow
*New maps that should join the new rotation: de_dust, cs_italy, de_chateau, de_cpl_strike/de_cpl_mill, awp_dust

Houston won 2 games against Portland this season and Portland won one. One of the games Houston won was only 98-94 so Houston didn’t own Portland this season If you look at both of their records this season, they’re almost identical (home record, road record, overall record). Portland is also very big in the frontcourt so they can throw Pryzbilla and Oden at Yao. If the 2 teams faced up head to head in the playoffs, who would guard Aldridge? Scola can’t guard Aldridge!

If LA faces Portland in the playoffs, it’s gonna be a fun series. I think LA lost their last 8 out of 9 games in Portland during the past couple of yrs.
Sleeper teams: Portland in the west, Atlanta in the east
But who knows…maybe the Spurs will win it. Even though Ginobili is out for the rest of the season, 2009 is an odd numbered year

Restarting the server seemed to help a lot. Today the server was running smoothly almost the entire afternoon. A minor lag spike here and there but pings didn’t shoot up to 200+
Can we take the slots down and see if the server gets better by some chance? The server was running a lot smoother last month. I’m just confused as to why the server started going crazy this month.
The 1.6 server has been unbearable yesterday and today. Other than the past few days, whenever it lagged it was fine bc the lag spike would come and go after a couple of minutes. But yesterday and today, pings are shooting up toward 300-600 and the lag seems to stay for a good 30 minutes. Can someone please look into this and fix this?
