Are you serious??????? Portland is going to get knocked out early. The rockets can and will beat either of those teams, very easily.
And portland???? LOL never…
If the Rockets ever get a chance to play them in the playoffs, they will own them so hard it isn’t even funny. Tell me how Portland is going to stop Yao Ming??? The man is a beast!!!
Rockets won 102-88 in their most recent victory against portland. The last time portland beat the rockets was in a fluke, way back in early November. There is no way Ron Artest and Yao will let those nubs win ever. The rockets definitely handled those chumps.
The only team that stands in the way of the rockets, is San Antonio, Jazz, and the Lakers. Luckily the Jazz will get knocked out by the lakers, and I am fairly confident that we can beat San Antonio (seeing how we will have home court advantage over them AND we have beaten them in the past). LA is the only team that I just can’t see us beating. Kobe is too good.
WHAT HAPPENED?!!??!?!
I SMELL A SWEEP. PORTLAND TRAIL FAILERS

ParticipantCHI vs BOS game 2 was so crazy!
April 21, 2009 at 12:19 am #80969So-CaL A
ParticipantYea ray ray stuck it in our asses.
But on a side note, BG IS A MONSTER 42 POINTS OFF THE BENCH1?!?
And yea, i was *edited*ed as *edited* after that game…Three pointer, uncontested, with 2.00 seconds left is NEVER a good thing
But now it’s time to win 2 in chicago and take the series 3-1

uncontested only because Ben decided to have a lil slip, if I remember correctly…
Bulls should win this series, Ray might go off again, but I wouldn’t expect him to do it more than once. The truth though, he could go off in the next 5 games…he is *edited*ing money…
And I love Ben Gordon, so good…

ParticipantBen Gordon needs to come to the Knicks after this season is over. Knicks can keep David Lee and dump Nate! w00t w00t

ParticipantQuestion of the day: Is Mutombo’s career over? :worried:
April 22, 2009 at 11:26 am #81555BallzinurJawz
ParticipantSeriously tho, the Bulls looked good in both their first 2 games…they shoulda beaten the Celtics in game 2, but Ray Allen is bad *edited*.
April 22, 2009 at 12:01 pm #81591YahooEarth
Participanta ) I don’t think Ben Gordon will ever come off the bench again once he leaves Chi town this year…and new york is NOT an option, because New York is holding out all their money to pick up ‘Bron and Bosh in ’10…
b ) Yes Mutombo is done, he said he has officially retired now.
April 22, 2009 at 2:11 pm #81687d2.sticky-icky
ParticipantWhy wouldn’t NY be an option? Marbury comes off the books ($18.6M) and Wilcox comes off the books ($6.75M) now. The Knicks also need some guards badly b/c Duhon broke down last season and Nate is still too inconsistent.
The Knicks will have enough money 2 yrs from now to go after some all-stars even if they resign David Lee & sign Ben Gordon this off-season. You know why? Because 2 yrs from now: Hughes comes off the books ($13.6M), Mobley comes off the books ($9.5M), QRich comes off the books ($9.3M), and Harrington comes off the books ($10M).
Also, if NY goes after Ben Gordon, it’s not like he’s gonna get a 5 yr contract. With the current economy, those big contracts are history for now.
**P.S. Portland WON. BROY 42 pts 7 rebounds/ALDRIDGE 27 pts 12 rebounds**

ParticipantBG is going to be re-signed with the Bulls, don’t worry about that. Stop that speculation

He’s going to realize that his specialty is coming off the bench and scoring a few quick points then sitting down again. We tried to play him constantly and he really isn’t suited for that style of play
April 22, 2009 at 2:54 pm #81718BallzinurJawz
Participantdidn’t he score like 42 the other night???
I didnt even realize he wasn’t a starter until now.

You know he is the same as Ginobli, he plays starter+ minutes…no short spurts for him. You don’t score 40+ points in a game in short spurts… And next year he will most likely NOT sign with the bulls because he wants MAX money, did you not see him op out of his contract last year, only to find there were no teams with cap space(yet) so he just signed a one year deal with Chi again??…and there WILL be teams out there that will pay him max money for +3 years now, especially with the next two years having so many ridiculous players becoming available. New York will NOT because they will want to sign LeBron and Bosh/Amare/[insert superstar] for 3+ years for MAX money of course.
Unless of course LeBron wins a chip this year, then he isn’t going anywhere, and that opens up everything, and a Ben Gordon to New York is more plausible. I see Ben Gordon going to a team like the Nets who will more than likely not pick carter up again, or maybe somewhere like Sac town and assume that since they will have a ridiculous amount of money to spend they will pick up a few more good players.
Obviously the smart thing for him to do is stay at Chicago though. They have a very solid team with DRose, Kirk, Luol(when healthy?), BMiller, and Tyrus…

ParticipantSo-Cal A: Ben Gordon has repeatedly stated that he is not happy in Chicago so he’s gonna be gone for sure =[
YahooEarth: Sacramento does not have a lot of money. They just recently signed Nocioni to a long contract and I’m pretty sure their stadium is one of the least packed in the NBA so they don’t even pull in a lot of revenue. They’re definitely not spending more money on Gordon when they have Kevin Martin (a very capable shooting guard). And who says Vince Carter isn’t going to be picked up again? You are aware of the fact that VC’s contract runs for 2 more seasons right? No one is gonna trade for VC when he costs $16-17M per year. He’s staying in NJ.

Did you not see all the trades sac made this year?? They have so many expiring contracts…and they don’t make money because they have a lousy team…
And it is slightly public that the Nets are very close to deciding to rebuild around Devin Harris…Look at what the suns picked up with Shaq, 20MIL a year for 2 years…whos to say no one will pick up a Vince Carter who just had an All Star year(bs he didn’t get in…)…
April 22, 2009 at 5:46 pm #81813d2.sticky-icky
ParticipantBen Gordon is not going to get max money offers from a lot of teams. You are crazy. Almost 1/3 of the NBA teams are losing money right now b/c of the economy. I’m pretty sure the MOST he will get from a team is around $9-10M per year. Quite possibly a 2-4 yr deal. No one is going to pay Ben Gordon $15M a season or even anything close to that. He is undersized, doesn’t play great defense, and he will most likely be a 6th man wherever he goes.
April 22, 2009 at 5:50 pm #81815So-CaL A
ParticipantHe is our 6th man. Luol Deng is no longer a Bull and hasn’t been for a year lol
Then let’s see. He expressed concerns last year after we flopped with a *edited*tie coach. Now we are making real headway against the defending champions. You don’t think he’ll be like hmmmm “A little extra money or a championship if we don’t win this year” Also, with the way he’s playing this year. You’d think the Bulls GM would be able to pony up the cash. We don’t have any real HUGE superstars with monster contracts. So there is no reason not to spend the money and keep him on the Bulls.
To Yahoo, he is not a starter, i repeat, not a starter. He gets alot of minutes but it’s all off the bench. We play a couple groups of players in a rotation-type style. Kinda like hockey
April 22, 2009 at 5:57 pm #81816d2.sticky-icky
ParticipantYes Sacramento has some expiring contracts but those contracts aren’t worth much: Bobby Jackson $6M, Cassell $1M, Douby $1M. You forget about how many non-expiring contracts Sacramento has. How about Martin, Nocioni, Udrih, Garcia? Plus Sacramento is likely going to need to save their money to offer Hawes & Thompson an extension after next season too. I’m also guessing Sacramento is going to offer McCants an extension.
I know NJ is rebuilding but how can you use Shaq as an example? Obviously that trade did not work. It is harder to move a contract like Carter’s now b/c of the current state of the economy. If no one traded for him last February before the trade deadline when he was smoking hot, no one is going to trade for him next season either. Don’t you see? He’s old and too expensive.
April 22, 2009 at 6:01 pm #81817d2.sticky-icky
ParticipantSo-Cal A: Chicago offered Gordon a $50M contract last season but Gordon spit in their faces and said no. He obviously thinks he’s worth a lot more in the open market. He’s stupid b/c he won’t see that kind of money again during this off-season. Even though Gordon is having an amazing postseason so far, the Bulls will most likely not offer him another $50M contract again. Gordon strained the relationship already.
April 23, 2009 at 12:22 am #81884So-CaL A
ParticipantYou must not watch/read about Chicago sports much. We pay people a ton, well besides the Bears but anywho, and sometimes they take it sometimes they don’t. Obviously, the BG thing wasn’t a huge slap in the face with the 50mill, HE’S ON OUR ROSTER AGAIN. You think he’ll take that money happily now and be set for a couple of years. Maybe win a championship in the near future with the building blocks we have right now.
April 23, 2009 at 12:51 am #81901d2.sticky-icky
ParticipantBen Gordon is on the Bulls roster this year only b/c he signed a one year contract with them. His plan backfired last off-season b/c nothing materialized for him in the open market. It’s not about the money with Gordon and the Bulls. Gordon is not pleased with his role on the Bulls. If he isn’t happy there, he surely will not stay there. Obviously, you don’t follow the Bulls well. Gordon not being happy on the Bulls is old news. As a matter of fact, the news is one year old.
April 23, 2009 at 2:02 pm #81974So-CaL A
ParticipantSo using logic, BG is playing on our roster this year. And we are giving the Celtics a run for their money. You think someone would leave that for more money?? Really…
Money is nice and all but it’s all about the championships in all sporting events. An example if you will So-Cal. SURE SO-CAL!

James Harrison- DMVP for the NFL last year, was making 750,000 the year they went to the Big Game. Now..? He’s making like 67mill over 5-6 years. Being payed is NOT what this industries about. If someone is being a *edited* and holding out, it’s becuz he has no real appreciation for the game itself, just the paycheck that comes with it.
April 24, 2009 at 1:05 pm #82232d2.sticky-icky
ParticipantSo-CaL A I don’t think you understand what I’m saying man. Ben Gordon is NOT HAPPY with his ROLE on the team. It has nothing to do with the money. Even if Chicago made it to the Eastern Conference Finals this year by some super tiny chance, Ben Gordon will still leave the team after this season is over for sure.
April 24, 2009 at 1:09 pm #82235d2.sticky-icky
ParticipantBen Gordon thinks he should be in the starting line-up and he wants more playing time. He isn’t happy in Chicago b/c he wants to be the main man. But obviously, John Salmons and Kirk Hinrich will get more playing time than Gordon b/c Gordon doesn’t play any defense. DUH!
April 24, 2009 at 3:42 pm #82284So-CaL A
ParticipantYou realize that we tried that? We played him in our starting rotation a year or two ago and it worked out disastrously. He’s a 6th man and i think he’s finally come to realize that he is limited in his playing in the NBA. No defense = Not very likely to start.
And on a side note, how do you know FOR SURE he will leave after this season? I live in the chi town sub’s and haven’t heard a word about it. And believe me, our reporters dig into stories constantly. The news lately is how Jay Cutler is a party animal and has been seen at Bars/Bulls Games drinking and shooting pool. So, we shall see what happens when the season is over and it’s time to negotiate contracts
