Well you can argue it from the other side too. Since it is the end of the semester, students have more time on their hands and they have more time for counter-strike. Whereas during the semester, students need to go to class and study. So the end of the semester should mean that the server should be more populated.

The ending of the semester is only one of the variables. It’s not the sole cause of the server being empty these days though. I understand it’s a campus server but c’mon now…there’s millions of other people playing cs 1.6 out there…

    MAYBE cbble

    etc

This is basically what we have right now…which is a bad thing considering how the server rank is dropping every week. Server doesn’t even have 29 people playing in it anymore and it’s been like that for weeks now…

Pump maps are great for fun night or a vote for a pump map can be put up when the server is less than half empty. I don’t think a pump map should make it to the rotation though…de_cbble was on the previous rotation so we should give some new maps a chance imo

I don’t think a first round series should be in the discussion for the best series of all time. Sure the Bulls Celtics series was memorable and will stay memorable for many years to come…but in the end there was no championship at stake.

When I think of epic battles, I think of championship battles: rockets v knicks (hakeem the dream), bulls v jazz (MJ), spurs v pistons (04-05). If the Bulls Celtics series was your best series of all time, then I’m sorry to say this but you haven’t watched enough basketball.

Aside from championship battles, the battles in the playoffs between the bulls v knicks or the knicks v pacers in the 90s were way more intense.

Server rank has been dropping the past few weeks. I think de_westwood and cs_deagle5 should both be dropped from the rotation. This should be an opportunity to give 2 other maps a chance to crack the rotation: cs_italy and de_chateau

You do not know the rules then…the rule states,

“Violent acts of any nature on the court will not be tolerated. Players involved in altercations will be ejected, fined and/or suspended.

Officials have been instructed to eject a player who throws a punch, whether or not it connects, or an elbow which makes contact above shoulder level. If elbow contact is shoulder level or below, it shall be left to the discretion of the official as to whether the player is ejected. Even if a punch or an elbow goes undetected by the officials during the game, but is detected during a review of a videotape, that player will be penalized.”

Maybe learn yourself some NBA rules pl0x?

Please man…anyone can google NBA rules. If you look at the play closely, Rondo threw the elbow up in defense b/c Hinrich started to charge at him. Case closed. This incident happened in the first round. No more discussion over this. OKAY?! rofl

The elbow that Rondo threw at Hinrich didn’t connect with Hinrich. So he shouldn’t be suspended or ejected. I looked at the Hinrich/Rondo incident again and it really wasn’t that serious.

However, Melo was suspended for a long time b/c he escalated the situation even more. It’s not b/c Melo isn’t liked by the league. That’s poor logic. If you remember the incident, Nate and JR Smith were going at it and they were both being separated. Then Melo swooped in after the situation was becoming calm and sucker punched Mardy in the face. It wasn’t one measly punch. It was a pretty huge punch actually.

The Dwight Howard incident was different. He didn’t throw the elbow while fighting for a rebound…are you kidding? Howard threw the elbow after the play was over and while he was running back to the other end of the court.

The Brad Miller foul should’ve been an ejection for Rondo. (flagrant 2)

Kirk Hinrich exaggerated the shove that Rondo made. Hinrich was just acting so that he could try to get Rondo ejected. If you look at the incident again, Rondo didn’t even shove him that hard yet Hinrich flew. Hinrich weighs 190 lbs. and Rondo weighs only 170 lbs. Seriously? Look at the replay again and you can clearly see that the incident was a minor one. The Robert Horry shove on Steve Nash in the playoffs awhile ago was a REAL SHOVE.

I don’t think Rondo should’ve been suspended for either play. Ever since the 90s ended, NBA refs have become way too soft. It’s nice to see some nastiness from time to time.

If you look at the Brad Miller play, Rondo did what any other player his size would’ve done. With the game on the line, if you’re a guard and you see Miller driving to the hoop the only thing you can do to stop him is to foul him hard. But did it deserve a suspension? No way. It was just a hard foul. Did Rondo deserve a flagrant foul? Yes.

If you look at the Kirk Hinrich play, Rondo just shoved him to the baseline. Did that deserve a suspension? HELL NO. Seeing both of them go at it was HILARIOUS. CAT FIGHT *MEOWWWWWW*

How is Rondo limited? 24.2 ppg, 10.2 rpg, 10.2 apg, 3.2 spg during the playoffs. He doesn’t need to shoot jump shots b/c he’s averaging .511 fg% already. Bulls cannot contain Rondo!!!!!!

    *P.S. Rondo’s 3pt average during this series -> .571 3p%

    RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maps with objectives can be shortened too. Let’s say a map like cs_militia was on a rotation for 30 min, it would make sense to shorten it to 25 min or 20 min b/c some maps tend to get boring faster than others.

Ben Gordon thinks he should be in the starting line-up and he wants more playing time. He isn’t happy in Chicago b/c he wants to be the main man. But obviously, John Salmons and Kirk Hinrich will get more playing time than Gordon b/c Gordon doesn’t play any defense. DUH!

So-CaL A I don’t think you understand what I’m saying man. Ben Gordon is NOT HAPPY with his ROLE on the team. It has nothing to do with the money. Even if Chicago made it to the Eastern Conference Finals this year by some super tiny chance, Ben Gordon will still leave the team after this season is over for sure.

Ben Gordon is on the Bulls roster this year only b/c he signed a one year contract with them. His plan backfired last off-season b/c nothing materialized for him in the open market. It’s not about the money with Gordon and the Bulls. Gordon is not pleased with his role on the Bulls. If he isn’t happy there, he surely will not stay there. Obviously, you don’t follow the Bulls well. Gordon not being happy on the Bulls is old news. As a matter of fact, the news is one year old.

So-Cal A: Chicago offered Gordon a $50M contract last season but Gordon spit in their faces and said no. He obviously thinks he’s worth a lot more in the open market. He’s stupid b/c he won’t see that kind of money again during this off-season. Even though Gordon is having an amazing postseason so far, the Bulls will most likely not offer him another $50M contract again. Gordon strained the relationship already.

Yes Sacramento has some expiring contracts but those contracts aren’t worth much: Bobby Jackson $6M, Cassell $1M, Douby $1M. You forget about how many non-expiring contracts Sacramento has. How about Martin, Nocioni, Udrih, Garcia? Plus Sacramento is likely going to need to save their money to offer Hawes & Thompson an extension after next season too. I’m also guessing Sacramento is going to offer McCants an extension.

I know NJ is rebuilding but how can you use Shaq as an example? Obviously that trade did not work. It is harder to move a contract like Carter’s now b/c of the current state of the economy. If no one traded for him last February before the trade deadline when he was smoking hot, no one is going to trade for him next season either. Don’t you see? He’s old and too expensive.

Ben Gordon is not going to get max money offers from a lot of teams. You are crazy. Almost 1/3 of the NBA teams are losing money right now b/c of the economy. I’m pretty sure the MOST he will get from a team is around $9-10M per year. Quite possibly a 2-4 yr deal. No one is going to pay Ben Gordon $15M a season or even anything close to that. He is undersized, doesn’t play great defense, and he will most likely be a 6th man wherever he goes.
