Yeah…LAN After parties…what can we say, we keep it real…(real funny that is). Thanks to Mike for letting us use his house for the parties! You are an awesome Host!
What Adam didn’t tell you about that night (1st LAN last Fall), is that Rossy said that he could outdrink Adam…obviously he didn’t, and Rossy passed out first. Adam , Matt (Veritas), Shane, Chris and me were there and Shane and Chris gave me a ride home after Adam made an example out of Rossy.
About Kek…Andrew was being obnoxious saying that no one would/could draw on him because he wouldn’t pass out. Well, he did. And they drew on him.
Yes, Rossy went to the Waffle house at 7:30 the next morning with Adam and Matt, and he had no clue what was on his face. It didn’t notice people staring at him, when they walked in, he didn’t notice the comments the waitress made, or the fact that she was laughing and staring at him. If my memories serve me correctly, he noticed some black stuff on his fingers after holding his head up…Adam told him it was from the grease from the car, and he didn’t pay it any more attention. He wiped his hands clean, then a few moments later noticed more black stuff. Well, he excused himself and went to the bathroom and didn’t come back for like 10 minutes. But he did get it all off. By the time I saw the boys back in my room at about 8:15 he was all clean, and they were joking about it. He wasn’t mad at all. I guess that was a joke well played. But notice there is a lesson to be learned here. If you challenge some one to a drinking game, be sure that you don’t think that just because you are bigger you can out drink them. Know something about your opponent before you place such a wager. I must admit I warned Rossy and Kek they couldn’t hang with the big dogs and to stay on the porch…well you know what happened when they stepped off. But that was one hell of a party!! Hopefully to be outdone on Sept 22!
Mike was there as well…oh and we still have that Sharpe..Will bring it to the next LAN after party.
So, I wasn’t the only one that read that…See Ma went to college, got a masters and I CAN read…

Bitey, are you an adult? Are you an Admin to our server? Are you a representative of WCU? Please restrain your self from behaving as those you say you can’t stand. Please remimber that although you are an adult, you are an admin to our servers, and you are a representative of WCU, its is through you and other admins that we reach our audience. All that I am asking for, is a little restraint. I would say maturity, but its from a woman’s perspective that the behavior desplayed by our admins in the locked thread, was that of immaturity. If you don’t let him get to you, why were you so mad. You can’t say you don’t let him get to you when you argue with him.

Who is going to be the Treasurer…I hope you guys aren’t planning on re-electing Sam…but either way..he would have the money for the pizza for the first meeting…and you don’t have to vote on it, but there should be some record that we are going to spend $XX.XX on # of pizzas for date’s meeting.
Remember guys, every position except Kuros is up for re-election. And I beg those members dedicated enough, that if you know that someone did not do their job or is really going to be too busy to do their job, speak up at the meeting. Personally, I noticed that even while Adam and I were still at WCU the Saint never did his job at all, however he kept being re-elected (I believe 3 times), meaning someone else who did not have that job had to do his job for him. If someone else has to do it, then let them hold the position. Do Not Just nominate someone (or yourself) if you do not think they will be able to effectively do it.
Actually, a cheater free society should be the clubs montra, or motto. But it does not need to be its own website. That would make it appear as if the WCU Gaming Club is all about cheaters, and as it does say in the server rules, cheating will not be tolerated. And I just know that is most certainly not an image that any member of the gaming club would like to portray the gaming clab as. So, there is no need for further discussion of a clan or whatever. It should be every gamers motto…to play in a cheater free society. But those of us who know the history of cheater free society and this particular gaming club can only laugh at those that do not and pretend they do. It is not in the gaming clubs’ constitution that the club will not support a clan. However, I strongly urge next semesters executive council to propose an admendment against such usage of our servers and resources. NoDice you were slightly correct in your statement, however it was ADAMBOMB who said that we will not support 1 clan over the many players because that does get away from our purpose. Which is in the beginning of the constitution, Paragraphs 1 and 2. Being for the students and prospective students of WCU. And yes a clan would deter that. We do not however desciminate against clans playing on our servers, we just do not allow stacked teams, and will kick clans if WCU students want to join and are unable to do so.
Kuros don’t make me come up there and kick your butt for being a jerk. Besides when has Adambomb ever needed anyone to fight his battles for him? Your just jealous, though Adam has not beaten you on Fight Night 3, he kicks the crap out of you and every other CS 1.6 player that was at WCU when we were there…so go ahead talk your talk, its a shame you can’t walk the walk too…
ask mike klatt…he lives in cullowhee and seeing as he has been involved with the gaming club since its beginning and won several times it would be good publicity for him as well as us. And he makes for a good picture…as seen on the image that appears on the homepage sometimes.

The only reason you wouldnt get coke, is because you didn’t try. Why generic, I though you guys were making enough money to be able to buy these things, and besides what happened to our residential living sponsor….wheren’t they paying for that anyway? This is directed toward Kuros and The Saint as they are the two that should directly know the finances and sponsors.
Did you guys know that you can get coke to sponsor the club with all the drinks you could dream of. I’ve got the number for the local distrubitor. All you would need to do is call him, let him know who you are, what you are doing, how many people are attending and how long it will last. Then he will ask you to fax him the same information along with what drinks in specific you want (though keep in mind they would be free so don’t be too picky). Atleast that is what I did for my golf tournament and we had enough drinks supply two events after that, a formal and a retreat. Though they were advertised as an official sponsor of the Tournament as well and I offered it to him too, on the T-shirts that I had made, along with the banner, hole sponsor signs and flyers that went up. Oh and they brought it to my dorm–which at the time was central. Just an FYI sort of thing.
You can probably get pepsi, I do not have the information for them but DO NOT do both as sponsors. I know we can get by with red bull and bawls, but that would be too much.
Do you guys know that you can get Belk 358 or Forsyth 3something or other for PC’s if you want to do a smaller LAN. I would suggest not advertising those smaller LANs, and instead use them as a bonding experience to help bring the execs and council leaders together, more of a team building experience.
Yes Adam and I hosted many smaller I guess LAN tourneys in my room. Man I remember almost every weekend having NoDice, Loot, and GXTI over all gaming or doing something for the club. And back in the day Adambomb and AMerrill would literally stay up all weekend playing in my room or AMerrills room and designing flyers and stuff. (I didn’t get much sleep back then) Adam liked getting the exec’s together and working on various things. It is good to get people together for unofficial things. Of course it is easier to do when you have more space to do something like that, and of course multiple computers and a router.
Think about asking Mike Klatt (aka Nukedude) about using his house for a smaller LAN, bring beer or something or offer food or anything, don’t use him, but his house would be good for small LAN’s. Just a suggestion. BTW, he has almost every console ever made plus lots of games, ranging from the original NES to the 360, don’t think he has a WII yet or a PS3, or at least he didn’t in February.
Then think of getting refills on ice, you are operating out of the UC aren’t you, though you would still have to go to dodson to get the ice, but it is free. Also keep in mind the length of time the ice stays in the cooler, it is probably put in the cooler an hour or two before the LAN starts and it is consistently exposed to the heat with the coolers being opened all the time or not shut at all.
Under Article III Duties of the Executive Council where it states the dutys of the Treasurer would read after the proposed amendment:
It is the duty of the Treasurer to ensure a positive fiscal status and to encourage fundraising in designing events to further the finances of the Club. It is also the duty of the Vice President of Membership and Finance to keep immaculate records of allocations of Club finances. It is the duty of the Treasurer to collect dues and LAN fees and to make such financial record available to the executive staff so as to ensure financial responsibility on behalf of the club.
Under Article VII Meetings and LAN events This paragraph would read after the proposed amentment:
At the LAN event, the secretary must take attendance, and record the event in such ways to keep the history of the Club updated. It is also the duty of the Historian to make such visual history available and accessible to all members and alumni of the Club. In short, it is the job of every executive staff member and council leader to run and operate each LAN event. If he or she is unable to fulfill their duties, it is their duty to find a suitable replacement and to notify the executive staff of such replacement within 72 hours of the beginning of the LAN event.
Noting the proposed amendments in bold…
I Believe they are in both suggestions for the meetings for this semester, or atleast the last two suggestions. I posted them several times.
FYI guys the constitution states:
“To plan a LAN event, these questions must be answered. The first 5 questions must be voted on. 1) When will the LAN event occur? 2)
What time will it start and run until? 3) Where will it be held? 4) What game will be played? 5) Will multiple games be played? 6) How will those games be supported? 7) Who will sponsor the LAN event? 8) What will they donate to the LAN event? 9) How many banners and flyers are needed to advertise the LAN event? 10) What type of food will be served? 11) How many of that type of food will be needed? 12) How many drinks will be needed? 13) How many people will be allowed to attend?
At the LAN event, the secretary must take attendance, and record the event in such ways to keep the history of the Club updated. It is also the duty of the Historian to make such visual history available and accessible to all members and alumni of the Club.”
Please note that the first thing that must be voted on is the date of the lan event. Please also notice that it does not say that just because you vote on a place, which you must do as well see #3, and that place is only available on 1 date that that automatically becomes the date, IT MUST ALSO BE VOTED ON, even if it is a moot point. I let is slide on the last LAN, but when you guys start skimming the constitution, even on the little things you start losing focus.
Second, the Secretary must take attendance. I would propose at the next meeting the following amendment to this section before the part about the historian,
**”It is the duty of the Treasurer to collect dues and LAN fees and to make such financial record available to the executive staff so as to ensure financial responsibility on behalf of the club.”**
This would help with the flow of the LAN, and so that Nicole doesn’t get stuck doing the treasurers’ job, as I have been in the past, even if I volunteered to do it.
You might also want to consider stating that executives are first and foremost working each LAN event, as is each Council Leader that has a game being played at the LAN. This might help alleviate the stress put on the select few that show up early and help as well as the even fewer that stay to help clean up after, not to mention the two or three that help during the event. I would put this after the statement about the Historian, I would word it,

Also note, that it takes unanimous vote among the executives and 2/3 of the active members of the club. (Which isn’t normally that hard to get.) You guys might want to actually look at the constitution, and its weird bolding issues. But other than that GOOD JOB GUYS!!

I’m so glad that you decided that GXTI, because you are so important to this club aren’t you…wait I started getting both because the members wanted both…but you know everything don’t you GXTI.
