okays. I now redirect you to whatever site kuros says above. apparently they use the same program. so you windows users get the same infomatinating.
My apologies for not getting the final transcript including what Kuros added in to Trackpad in time for the first post. But this was mentioned as we proposed said amendment, and was voted in at the same time as the rest of it.
for complete newbies: this will take some getting used to at some point anyway, might as well start early. use your pistol crosshairs to get a feel for where the center of your screen is. You will need to know where this spot is like normal people need to know where to find a toilet. some guns come with a scope and thus have no crosshairs unless you are using a scope. frequently those guns will take forever to get pointed where they need be pointed if you are using the scope. and for other guns, well, learn your crosshairs. and your spray patterns. (spray patterns aren’t sequential, for those of you that know enough chemistry or molecular physics, spray patterns are more like electron density graphs or whatever they’re called that have frequently hit areas (slightly off-center) and not so frequently hit areas (dead center) )
spray and pray only works close quarters. i suggest that over long distances you squeeze off a few shots, let your gun stabilize, and fire off some more. if you need evidence, I have enough confidence to stand at a distance and you empty an entire 100-bullet para clip at me. then while you are reloading since it takes so long i may as well charge and knife you
I just discovered that xchat is not free for windows but rather a 30-day trial thing. how freakin bogus. it’s 100% free and even open source in linux. that’s a ripoff. you will see a alternative irc program howto here in the future
You are at NCSU, correct? I hate suggesting it, but if you want to give it a try (and assuming you are on steam) have steam uninstall cs:s and then reinstall it. if you’re an oncampus student I’m sure the internet will be decent enough for at least an overnight install. that is my only guess
mmmkay, so at the meeting it was suggested we have polls by day rather than just for the whole week. I am making those changes above asap.

oh, and this may just be scoutzknivez-specific, and again it may only just be me being an idiot, but play it up some using the scope, then once you’re comfortable with roughly where the middle of your screen is, try to play entire rounds without using your scopes. Especially if you do this against Kuros, gxti, Brian, and Flakes, you will be forced to get good at a decent pace. I went off the scope only a few days ago, and (though I hate using this as motivation because I don’t want to encourage being a stat-driven lame-o) the last few rounds I did so I was clearly over +100 points / session.
And flakes makes an outstanding point I can’t believe I forgot: learn to love your ears, they will save your life repeatedly. If you listen enough to be able to tell where people are based on sound, and use your map with that when you can, you will be a LOT more informed
and finally, if you find yourself aiming dead-on and still missing, it may be the weapon’s spray pattern. to check this, get a map with a long clear hallway or alley and play it solo. run to one end and spray the target spray. then try to hit it from various distances, crouching/not, running/not, walking/not, etc.

hrm. let’s see, i’m still fairly noobtastic, but I’m almost top100 somehow. I don’t know how, but here’s what I do:
think of the dumbest weapon possible to use in a situation.
buy it
keep getting pwnd until you know where they normally go
if there’s a flank, take it
(knife flanks will make you a server god in no time, i am evidence of such)if you keep getting uber-pwnd, save up for the ONLY gun under the machine gun category. buy it and charge the incoming mass of rape. pull the trigger and don’t let go. you will get at least a good chance of bullet-spamming them to death.
if all else fails, buy ONLY a HE grenade, pull pin, run into enemy. suicidal, i know, but you get lucky every now and then.
and the most important one of all:
rush like there’s no tomorrow, and DON’T STOP FOR ANYTHING

So, I was thinking of throwing some sort of party tonight and inviting everyones, but I think I’ll call it a party at the meeting. I poll you for topping preferences. PLZ DON’T VOTE IF YOU WON’T BE THERE, but i’ll be takin the numbers and getting at least one slice / vote

I’ve played Raven Shield for the PC… i’d be a total noob on the 360 so i don’t know how i’d do, but sounds like fun
exactly Jagr`. I just use the points as an illustration to say holy-bishaznat-that-round-went-insanely-well. All that on a 0.6 K:D ratio…
but yeah, play the game for fun, don’t go stats hunting coz it saps the server of its fun. But when you get lucky (and I mean I got really really lucky) they good for bragging rights
Now, if you want to do what I did, here’s how it goes: especially on scoutzknivez coz it’s quick, but about any map really –
any way possible, run crazy fast in all the way behind the enemy, especially on sniper / awp maps. then bust out the knife and run in behind the enemy while they awping and stabs away. if they catch ya, well, bust out the para or something. That’s always fun. And lastly, if things get really hairy, do the craziest thing I do – expect to die, but grab a HE grenade and pull the pin before you even leave spawn, and keep it pulled and charge the enemy. you’d be surprised, every now and then you’ll get someone
And the biggest two lessons of all:
1. NEVER STOP RUSHING UNTIL YOU ARE ALL THE WAY THERE. i.e. right at doors so you can take a break to awp people 6 feet from you. this means not only you, but all the people following you, will be dead shortly.
2. DON’T CAMP SPAWN ON SCOUTZKNIVEZ. if you’re going to camp spawn, camp their spawn.
each activity, say plant the bomb, rescue a hostage, etc. is a set number of points. then there’s killing people. first there is a point modifier by weapon, so that say the knife is worth more than the awp. then that is used as a scalar on some pointage based on the difference of the collective points of your target, and your collective points, so that a noob gets mad points for killing, say, Fascist|Flakes. still, if you go on rampages and live to tell the tale, your score goes up one way or another, it’s just faster if you do it right. that’s all i know
oh, and you lose points every time someone kills you
We could potentially found a NCGA – National Collegiate Gaming Association, similar to the NCAA…
(just a random suggestion… I don’t think that’s feasible anytime in the next couple of years. still fun to think about though)
