Spectatornoooooooo! those losers made me wait for nothing! the sites are back up and nothing new that I can tell… oh well
but what is this? unrealtournament2007.com’s page name is Unreal Tournament 3? oh don’t do this! please don’t pull a TF2 on me! come out sometime in 2007…..
Falcon
Spectatoreh, well, I’m gettin kinda rusty. been forever since i’ve played anything but bots, and those you can learn. Up to a certain difficulty just running will keep you outta trouble, then once you get to the harder ones you learn things like jumping left then right, so on and so forth…
Falcon
Spectatorstill down…
Falcon
Spectatoreh, me neither, and i have a rig that was only great, what, 2 years ago?
by the way, both sites are still down. Oh I can’t wait to see what’s a comin…
Falcon
SpectatorIs the author one of the club members? He really seems to know what he’s talking about…
Falcon
Spectatoroh yeah. i definitely know what you mean

dang! okay, okay, just to try to come close I’m a gonna make a user on this rig and turn off everything I don’t need (hp drivers take a shatload of cpu time and ram) and I’m gonna try to challenge that…no, wait, nevermind, you have the cs:s test. just to see, I’ll still try that other user crap… anywho, i got this:

Spectatorlooks good enough to me, tho

Spectatoreh, for nuke, get a nutcase like me on CT and you’re good. I like going rambo style at a certain spot, after waiting on the bomb to start being placed. it’s all too easy. nades are even more fun, and if you can catch someone walking by to place the bomb, opportunities abound for the most satisfying type of knife kill – right as they’re placing the bomb. but you gotta be crazy. and the nutter can hold one bomb site while the rest of the crowd secures the other

Spectatorthe only thing I can think of is change ‘unreal tournament’ to ‘unreal tournament 2004’ – some might be dedicated to the original UT (not without reason, it was great), and some might think we got a copy of 2007… just picky details, nothin big…
Falcon
SpectatorI mean, I’m inclined to agree with you, I much enjoy that map. I’d actually dare to say that it’s my second favorite (as evil as it sounds I can’t get enough of snowman destruction on the office map). And when I was picking maps to pass votes on, I was seeing some names that I hadn’t seen before, so I’d maybe even be in favor of expanding the list in rotation. But as for this thread, just thought I’d raise mention of this demand
Falcon
Spectatorthey were. I managed to get a few of them while clearing the map for either team
– there’s one particular unnamed spot on that map that i think is close to t spawn, but anyway, noone ever checks it and you have a lovely long alley for snipin, or even jumpin out and chasing down unsuspecting ct passersby for the knife killFalcon
Spectatorwhoa, really? sweet! duck hunt light gun! NES style! haha fat chance that would be useful. nah, i can’t think of anything
Falcon
Spectatorspeakin of which, could we maybe pull in another one of those computer case carrying rigs? I could use one of those lol
Falcon
Spectatora´ight. well, don’t drop in tonight, it´s just the roommate and he´ll not be happy. but tomorrow after maybe 1 or so, yup yup. I´ll be there
Falcon
SpectatorAs for UT2k4, I´ll get the preliminary brackets up later tonight. Wrote em up when I spaced out in history yesterday
Falcon
Spectatorand also, UT2004 is one of the few mainstream games I know of with a native linux (unix-based) installer… these guys know their stuff…
Falcon
SpectatorI’ll have to monitor this in the different gametypes we have, I’ll be resetting the server trying different configurations on Saturday if all goes well. Info will be posted when complete.
Falcon
Spectatorto add an IP address to your favorites list, go to the favorites list in your server browser (in UT2004), right click, and click ‘add to favorites’. To open an IP address, go to any tab in your server browser (in UT2004), right click, and click ‘open IP address’
Falcon
Spectatorfor the mail room, do we want a general model of the workers’ area? I could maybe incorporate that
also, give me a timeframe when you won’t be working on it and I’ll get a copy to incorporate the alumni tower lights into and send it back
Falcon
Spectatoronly thing I can think of right now… it needs the clocks – all at different times, to match the real thing… lol. they don’t need to move, just a decal would do
Falcon
Spectatoryay for Akuzan! way to go
Falcon
SpectatorMeeting’s today
Falcon
Spectatoreh, I don’t use mac mostly coz they’re too pricey for a broke kiddo, but I do like to use them given a chance… I guess you could say I use a cousin of the Mac os, tho – I’m a big time linux fan…
and welcome to the site btw
Falcon
Spectatorhaha yeah gxti. for some reason my computer didn’t change it till I dumped my internet cache. maybe the ipb board saves the file as the same name… who knows
Falcon
Spectatori’ve never really studied a butthole, but i’d imagine that is fairly accurate to say.. lol
Falcon
Spectatorthis thing? hah! nah, this thing is waaaaay to old to try upgradin, plus the only things accessible are the hard drive and the power supply / battery. but my desktop is darn near top of the line, built it with pretty much the best stuff I could get 2 years ago. no trouble runnin at full graphical and audio detail. this laptop is really just a temp till i go shoppin for one, prolly sometime around the start of next semester.
Falcon
Spectatorthere’s assassination maps? never knew that, hmm… i do think i’d want to play one. anyway, I’m all agreed. and in favor of the innocent until proven guilty reasoning, in the event that we do not have a demo or screenshot or several reputable witnesses available in a timely manner, an appeal will pass. just for fairness. sound good?
Falcon
Spectatoryou can get the demo at http://www.unrealtournament.com/ut2004/downloads.html. the only thing is the demo can’t connect to multiplayer servers, but you can definitely get into some bot matches on your own if you wanna try it out

Spectatoroh wow, he’s serious! i am much surprised! it is pretty much designed for all out deathmatch with the biggest baddest weapons imaginable… you have your standard assault rifle / small nade launcher, it has a shield gun / energy cannon, it has a rifle that shoots toxic goop that can’t be touched, it has a instant-hit plasma rifle / plasma ball cannon, it has the flak cannon which shoots either shotgun style or shell style, it has a 3-rocket rocket launcher, it has a sniper rifle, it has a lovely toy called a translocator (you can teleport to anywhere you can shoot the weapon to), and stuff like that. you respawn after dying, some servers use a delay. in ut2004 it has all the classic dm game modes, like pure deathmatch, capture the flag, etc. but also it has bombing run, where you grab a ball and have to deliver it to the target, commonly at the enemy’s spawn. it has deathball, a weaponless soccer-style version of the bombing run. it has onslaught, where you capture ‘camps’ trying to connect a line of them to the enemy’s spawn and blow it up. it has assault, kind of a mission mode, where you have to get through the enemy and blow stuff up. plus, onslaught and assault, they have vehicles! much fun. and there’s double domination, where you successfully have to play king of the hill style and capture 2 ‘hills’ similtaneously. yadda yadda yadda, and the game is very much fun. coz you get to be as stupid or insane as you want, you can always respawn and try again.
