SpectatorWell, today is the last day in a while that i’ll be playing on this server. It was an enjoyable experience and meeting with all the people who frequent it and all the admnis was fun for the time that I played, but as my computer is slowly failing, somehow, ever since the patch and a few corrupted files and freeves and restarts caused me fits of anger and blashemphy sure to put me in trouble i’m afraid i must quit, at least until i can upgrade my machine or figure out what is going on, probably need to replace a few things. Anyways the point is that i had a wonderful tme and i’d thought ya’ll ought to know, so thank you

SpectatorYou are at NCSU, correct? I hate suggesting it, but if you want to give it a try (and assuming you are on steam) have steam uninstall cs:s and then reinstall it. if you’re an oncampus student I’m sure the internet will be decent enough for at least an overnight install. that is my only guess

SpectatorRaine, I have a nice computer (Read: REALLY nice) that I’m trying to sell.
IDK if you wanna pay what I want for it, tho.

SpectatorGot a friend that is selling a dell, that has kick *edited* programs and decent hardware for 750$ interested?

SpectatorYou could always take it to NCSU’s IT Services and have them format it and reinstall Windows for you. Then you’ll be able to continue playing and your computer will probably be running even faster than before

SpectatorYeah, Flakes is right, get campus IT to check that *edited* out. Missing ya already man.

Spectatorwelll, i ran some heavy virus scans, defraged and renistalled, along with some lightening of the computer, but when i tried cs again, i got an error, something about my graphics card being in an infinte loop and Nv4_disp. Any clues, i think i’m gonna try getter a new driver for my graphics card…i dunno though. Thanks for the offers of computers, i dunno how i feel about picking up another one, i mean other than a weak graphics card this one isn’t too bad, dual core and gig of ram, not too shabby for about 2 years old. but if anything is under 1k, if you could send me a description i could tell you if i’m interested
March 23, 2007 at 3:11 pm #18583Kuros
SpectatorWhy not just get a new graphics card? That will most definitely be under 1k.

Spectatorawesome, check out the tips, tools, hints thread I made in the cs source forum, it has an excellent configuration there you might want to use to get much better performance.
