Announcements:

 

-There is a T-Shirt Design Contest currently going on. Design a T-Shirt and if we pick yours you will win $20! Click here for more details.

– The next LAN will be held on Friday April 20th

– If you have ideas for the websites arcade section please submit them in the general discussion forum.

– If you have game demos/ screenshots you wish to be included in our add on TV 62 please let us know

-Please do not curse in the thread titles of your posts (Doing so will result in your account being banned from the forums)

-Admins if you have a problem with another admin please resolve your problem outside the game server. Failure to do so could lose you your admin altogether.

-If you have Day of Defeat Source and would like to play with people on campus please play around 7pm

– There was a vote to continue to use brackets for tournaments.

-There was a vote to once again allow people to pre-register for the LAN online.

– Topic of Discussion: Bracket Closings

 

It was suggested that all brackets should close at 2:00 pm

 

It was suggested that only brackets before dinner close at 2:00 and all brackets after dinner close during dinner.

 

There was a vote for all brackets to close at 2:00pm

The results of the vote were 0-0-17

There were enough volunteers to justify a vote.

 

There was a vote to have a table outside UC to promote LAN.

We will do our best to have a table setup outside the UC to promote the LAN

 

Topic of Discussion: T-Shirt Contest

 

There will be a T-Shirt design contest.

There was a vote to use $20 of the WCU Gaming Club’s money to award to the winner.

Topic of Discussion: Constitutional Amendment

There was a proposed amendment to the constitution that amendment being

“It is the duty of the Marketing Administrator to promote Western Carolina University in a positive manner to all persons considered “prospective students.” The Marketing Administrator will promote by any means they deem necessary and to the best of their ability. Proposed advertising plans must be approved by the executive council and/or the members of the club.”

 

There was a vote to add this to our constitution.

The results of the vote were 17-0-0

Topic of Discussion: Ch. 62 ad

 

Due to the cost of having TV 62 produce a commercial and also due to the combined knowledge and skills of the members in our club it was proposed we create, edit, etc our movie ourselves.

There was a vote to produce a TV 62 commercial ourselves.

The results of the vote were 17-0-0

We will produce the commercial ourselves.

 

This will also allow for us to run it twice as long using the money we will save.

 

There was a vote to allow maximum of $100 for TV-62 ads.

The results of the vote were 17-0-0

We may spend a maximum of $100 on TV-62 advertising.

 

 

Topic of Discussion: Booth at open house

 

The president asked for possible volunteers to sit in a booth at open house to new generate interest in the gaming club.

 

Due to the level of interest there was a vote to have a WCU Gaming Club booth at open house.

The results of the vote were 17-0-0

 

At said booth we will need a laptop (to register people for the forums) and a large poster.

 

 

Topic of Discussion: Forum Arcade

 

There was a vote to remove the arcade from the forums

The result of the vote was 0-15-2

The arcade will remain on the forums

 

 

 

Since we reset stats on non-arcade games (Counter Strike, Day of Defeat) there was mention to reset the arcade scores every semester to allow the records to be beaten.
