The South Korean government was going to sell 108,000 M1 Garand and Carbines to US gun importers and Obama blocked the sale citing it could lead to gun accidents and they might “get smuggled to terrorists, gangs or other people with bad intentions”. M1s are getting to be hard to find and one rated as good to very good can easily cost as much as a brand new, modern day assault rifle. The import cost was going to be low, on the order of about 1/4 the current retail price.
I was going to hold off on buying an assault rifle but if Obama thinks terrorists use M1s he can’t be far from figuring out they might also use AKs or M4s.
I think it’s pretty ridiculous that it’s totally banned. While I can see the logic behind the decision, I don’t think it was the best move. Now instead of selling our guns back to us, South Korea will find other people and/or countries to buy the weapons. Which isn’t good for anyone. He should have let the sales go on, and just regulate the *edited* out of it.
btw here in Texas if you don’t have a gun something is wrong with you. I’m liberal as hell, except when it comes to capital punishment and gun control. Crazy murderous *edited*s should be hung and guns should never be banned.

yeah it won’t hit, still kinda cool there is a potential monster out there. I bet the waves all along the east coast will be bad *edited* for the next week or so.

Whenever the taliban, hezbollah, or al qaeda get brought up in this way it reminds people that terrorists are bad and should be killed IRL. This makes it hard for the US and UK governments to spin their previous administrations as being incompetent idiots because it demonstrates that the war they fought was truely against evil people.
I would expect Australia to ban this because they ban everything but the UK… it’s very possible that the US might ban it next. This could be bad for the MoH series.
It’s sad that you can shoot cops in GTA but if the game has you shoot soldiers as terrorists that’s suddenly immoral.
shooting cops in a make believe city is one thing, but they are emulating a real place where real british soldiers are getting killed. Your whole shpeel about making it hard to spin previous administrations as incompetent seems unlikely. If that were the case, why not ban all the books which reveal the “truth” or support previous administrations? Banning one little game for that reason doesn’t make sense. Why not ban Modern Warfare? Then again, you may be right, i’m not to knowledgeable on how the british government works. All I know is they probably banned it because it’s taking a very real setting and giving you an option to play a very real enemy.
That aside, i think it’s retarded that they banned it regardless of their reasoning. It’s a game people!
i think those guys are part of pest control where ever that is in the world. From the looks of it, i imagine it’s somewhere in Europe.

lol i asked the vet that actually. i was wondering about parrot prosthetic claws. Anyway the bird is looking good. She grubbed big time when i went to see her today. Looking on the bright side, my Halloween costume is 10 times cooler now that i have a one legged parrot lol.
My pet Blue and Gold macaw is at the vet. I found her yesterday morning all bloodied with her left foot gone. It looked like something bit it off. I’m not sure if something got in the house and attacked her, or if she did it herself. She has a sheet in her cage that she uses as a nest, and never had any problems before, but i read that if parrots get their claws stuck in something, they have no problem just cutting themselves loose. Anyway i’m kinda flipping right now, but apparently they do fine with just one foot. I’ve had this bird since i was born, it’s older than me, but i feel as if it’s my baby.
my mom is a bakery manager at the local grocery store. Every bring your kid to work day i would go and chow down on all the breads, pastries, and cakes i could stomach. *edited* i miss those days.
If they had a segment with Sander Cohen in Bioshock 2 the game would have been 10 times better.
I’ll play the third installment just to see where they take us and hopefully it’ll be good.
i enjoyed calculus. took a few semesters of engineering calc through college. Algebra was probably my favorite, and the whole imaginary numbers thing still bothers me to this day.

7th and 8th graders. Technically I could teach elementary school, but i think i’d have more fun torturing the emo kids.
with regards to mac gaming, i play sc2 on my macbook. Blizzard is one of the few exceptions (god bless them). No issues, although if i didn’t have the cooler pad underneath my lappy it would probably ignite from overheating.

that was funny. yeah i’ll make sure to spell hire properly. All teachers and/or potential are required to get drug tests so it wouldn’t be random. They even have teachers fingerprinted starting this year.

no where at the moment. The test was just to be recognized by the state. Now that i passed, any school district in Texas can legally higher me as a teacher. Right now i’m on a couple waiting lists here around Houston. I may teach out in Katy or near Sugarland. If all else fails, I can go back to the school district i grew up in. They are notorious for hiring native alumni.
I’m tired this argument Mac vs. PC. PC’ers should be grateful that there is someone else on the market to challenge microsoft. Competition makes everything better. It’s just like Mcdonalds vs. Burger King. BK will never be bigger or better, but that 2nd spot isn’t such a bad gig. (although I find the whopper to be one of the greatest burgers ever invented)
I own both, love my macbook pro more than anything in the world but i know PC is better. I just prefer cruising the net and looking sexy all at the same time.
