Anyone live near the coast? This thing is looking very mean. As of 9:00am Hurricane Danielle has grown from category 3 to 4. It may even reach CAT 5. She’s moving at about 10-15 miles an hour. Not sure where it will hit, or if it will hit land at all, but I would definitely prepare for a *edited*load of rain.

Participantprojected path has it coming nowhere near the US…

ParticipantUS: “Look out it’s coming right for us!”
Danielle: “Oh shi… it’s Obama. Run!”
I mean it does make a very abrupt turn-around…
FYI, hurricanes don’t make initial landfall that far north.

Participantyeah it won’t hit, still kinda cool there is a potential monster out there. I bet the waves all along the east coast will be bad *edited* for the next week or so.

Participantha see you make fun of danielle and uncle earl comes behind to bite yall in the *edited*.
This doesn’t look like a direct hit either, ALOT closer though and supposedly it’s coming with 40 foot waves. joy.
btw i dunno if you all have ever experienced a head on hurricane before, but they definitely suck.

Participanti know, but i figured since the last major hurricane to hit north carolina was back in 1996 maybe somebody forgot lol.

Participant96?
I do believe you missed a few. It doesn’t have to be a major hurricane to cause major damage.

Participantand earl is forcast to be a cat 2 i.e. not major hurricane when it gets here AND its not even going to hit us, we (as in the outer banks) will only get tropical storm force winds and heavy rain.
