Okay I agree that families who don’t qualify for free lunches shouldn’t get the free hand outs. But I don’t agree with letting the kids starve. It’s not their fault their parents are losers. It’s not their fault they don’t have lunch money to pay for lunch. You all are also right, on the fact that beggars can’t be choosers. And the lady who wrote the article got it wrong, cheese sandwiches are not served cold, the majority of schools heat them up.

But just to argue for the sake of arguing, I think something needs to be done. I don’t agree with not feeding a kid if they don’t have any money. That is the very wrong way to go. Sure, it might work for a kid who misses out on 1 or 2 payments, but when a kid never has the money, because his parents don’t care about him, that will lead him down a bad path. I knew a lot of kids growing up who depended on the school systems breakfast and lunch, it was the only source of nutrition they got. Depriving them of intake automatically sets him up for failure. And malnutrition is just the surface of the issues this creates. The only options a kid has in this situation, would be either to starve, steal, bully, or join a gang. Kids aren’t just going to take the fact that they are poor. Their minds are still immature and growing, what they need is something to depend on. Those parents may complain about the cheese sandwiches, but cheese sandwiches are what’s keeping those kids off the streets. Fo real.

I think schools should be allowed to use left overs. If you have ever been in the back of the cafeteria, or any restaurant for that matter, you’d be amazed at how much good food is just thrown away on a daily basis. The schools want an answer to their lunch financial problems? the answer is in the delicious smorgasbord they call trash. Set aside an extra lunch period, and feed the kids left overs.

this can be easily solved. On mondays wednesdays and fridays, feed the kids cheese sandwitches. On tuesdays and thursdays, give them peanut butter sandwitches, with jelly packets for 10 cents. This is how my school did it, and all the kids loved it. I use to buy their cheese sandwitches, gave them 50 cents for it, and they would go spend it in the vending machine. Who says free hand outs don’t help the economy. Cheese sandwitch trading was the *edited* back in the day, it paid for my powerade.

$2 trillion in savings over 10 years does not offset $1.5 trillion of extra spending this year alone.

not sure when he said exactly, he said you’d see the tax cuts on your paycheck by April tho. 2 trillion over ten years doesn’t offset 1.5 trillion. But finding 200 billion dollars extra a year for the next 10 years is still pretty good. And he’s still working on his promise to cut 1.5 trillion in half.

I assume the new one is a SATA. Don’t have enough info to determine the other one. SATA doesn’t have a master and slave, it goes solely on the port you are using. SATA0 > SATA1 > SATA2, etc when it comes to drive lettering and booting unless you specify otherwise in BIOS.

SATA is almost almost prioritized and lettered before IDE.

    yeah they are both SATA’s

I made sure to plug in the new one in SATA0, its working smooth, and now I have more memory than I probaby need. Thanks all for the help

okay new question that I’m sure seems obvious to some but causes me migranes. Now that I have this new hard drive. How do I make the old one a slave? People keep telling me to flip some switches on the hard drive, or something. I have taken the old one out and am looking at it, I see nothing that even look slike a switch.

Also, I read in ABC’s article that Xanax can be given to animals (you’d have to speak to a doctor about it or something, though), but it can cause maniacal behavior in unstable patients.

I think it’s stupid that people think they can raise them like children.

Yeah, what bothers me is the fact that a 70 lady can legally own a 200 pound chimpanzee.

“The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money to spend.” – Margaret Thatcher

I have long ranted about the uneducated masses who vote for politicians in this country, and I will say I am tempted to follow Brian’s lead and require people to pay federal taxes before they can vote in federal elections. I personally would prefer that they have to pass and intelligence test or at least some sort of quiz on current events. (Like being able to name their representative, senator, maybe a cabinet member of their choice.) However, as tempting as this choice is, I cannot agree with it. Once you start down the road of placing requirements on voting, where do you stop? That takes us to a place where I don’t wish to go as a country.

Also, we have ranted many times about the tax code, but I think it really comes down to a fundamental principle: Who owns what? Does the government own you? Do they own your house? Do they own your money? Do you support the government, or do they allow you to keep some of your money?

I personally believe in private property. What I earn is mine. I can do with it whatever I wish. My income is not the government’s, I pay taxes, they don’t allow me to keep some of my income.

What do you all think? Who really owns what?

China doesn’t own Yao Ming anymore

regressive tax is doomed to fail. Rich can afford to pay more. As they should. Also rich can do this really effective thing called Lobbying. See, they can buy lobbyists, which do whatever it takes to get the targeted official to side with their client. Now I’m sure you will point out Obama and his contradiction on that issue (by making exceptions to a lobbyist to be in his cabinet), but my issue isn’t the lobbyist, but the ones who are able to afford lobbyist. AKA the RICH.

    http://business.timesonline.co.uk/tol/busi…icle1995931.ece

Mr. Buffet seems to think so as well. Granted this is just another stunt by the Buffmaster to make more money, but I like this article because it points out some of the obvious:

Republicans want to make up for revenue by taxing the poor.

Rich people can afford the “heavy” tax burden, because they have more ways to avoid portions of it.

It would cause the rift between rich and poor to grow larger than it already is.

“You could take that $30 billion and give $1,000 to 30 million poor families, or should you favour the 12,000 estates and make 30 million family pay an extra $1,000?,” he said.

now why on earth would we want to do that? Seeing how as you all said, a percentage of low income families don’t pay federal taxes. It only makes sense to tax the rich more.

Boohoo that’s so mean of us to do, taking almost 50 percent of their moneys. We shouldn’t be mean to people who make billions. Cuz if we tax them, they will still have billions?? And will probably make a profit that year. While little old grandma in Low Income, United States, won’t get taxed as much, but still wont be able to afford anything close to what Mr. Billionaire has.

You guys always fail to figure in quality of life, and price of living. House + Car is almost 80 percent of a persons (who makes 100k or less) income. While Mr. Moneybags can afford to buy 10 houses, rent off 8, own a car company, and a few Yachts. Assets = another reason they are taxed more. More assets you have, the more they should pay for our governments services.

And as far as people who don’t pay taxes. Some people just can’t afford too. That doesn’t mean they are criminals, or evil people, that we should just toss them aside and not allow them to vote. Granted, there are some people who try and cheat the system, but there are many more who just have had some bad luck. And don’t say there is no such thing as bad fortune, because if a man can be born with a billion dollars to his name, than a man can be born with nothing, on the streets. And both men in my eyes, regardless of taxes, are citizens of the United States, and I’ll be damned if I ever let any republican try to take that away.

I’d rather give 1000 cheaters the benefit of our system, than punish 1 person who honestly just has had some bad luck and needs a helping hand.

Going to chime in here from the competitive aspect of CS. I know a lot of awful players see saving your gun as a stat-*edited* move, but its nothing like that at all. Saving your gun, just means you’re not a retard like zoid commando or mira (<3 both) and ramboing a site against impossible odds. Meaning you have a gun for the next round increasing your chances to win and help you team.

I coin the objectives or die thing more like “Try or die”. You don’t have to go Rambo into a site to try and defuse, but you have to at least try. If a player sits back the whole round, allows the other team to plant, and then doesn’t even try to defuse?? No matter how good one thinks they are, if they do that in a round, why would it be smart to let them save their gun for the next round; so they can do that sequence of sitting, camping, and not trying all over again?

I’m for “Try or Die!” all the way. No one likes to watch someone sit their and not try. In fact, I say we deploy a new form of objective or die slaying. I say we slay the culprit not only that round, but the following round, for causing us to waste our time watching the camp session. That way they can enjoy, with some popcorn if they want, a whole round dead watching everyone else play.

    As for an auto-slay plug-in, i don’t think that would fly. =/

It definitely should be a manual feature. We can’t give any more power than we already have to the *edited* machines; they will kill us all!!! lol

Btw, why isn’t anyone blaming this on Bush? You’re missing out on a great opportunity here. Comeon.

haha, I guess because Bush is already old news. It’s one of those defaults. You know, that one automatically equates to the problem without any actual mention. Like Parfait. You don’t mention the nuts, whipped creme, yogurt, and berries, you just assume it’s a Parfait. God I love Parfaits.

Now that I think about it, relating Bush to a Parfait, is just rude to Parfaits all across the world. If you ever had a bad parfait, with bad ingredients, Bush would be the reasons behind why those bad ingredients were bad in the first place. So if you had bad nuts, bush would be the lid some moron forgot to leave on to keep the nuts fresh. Or he would be the mold that caused the berries to be moldy. Or he would be the cow that created the bitter milk used to make bitter, sour, yogurt. rofl =P

It wasn’t our soldiers selling the guns, it was either the local people in transport, or the Afghanistani who we are training over their to eventually take over.
