Bitey, not sure how far in you are in creating the site, BUT I have a designer friendly web site builder that kicks *edited*. It’s called Freeway Pro. You can create pretty much anything you want, incorporate any third party blogs or forums and i think there is a way to incorporate cms. It reminds me of dreamweaver only a lot easier to use, does all the coding for you, and is like 100-200 dollars cheaper. You can also design in a basic html table layout or css layout, which is neat.

    http://www.softpress.com/

Above is the maker, some british dudes. What’s also neat is they created their site with their product. It’s mac only i believe, but i figured you might like it cause you own one. You should check out the free trial if you get tired of coding. They also have a ton of tutorials to help with snippets and addons and such.

Here are a couple of sites i created using it, note: these are my first two real attempts at creating a website, so they are kinda weak, but are still functional. Anyway check them out, I’m still learning the program but i think the potential is there.

we played a similar game in middle school called asians vs. mexicans.

The asians had the idea that since they were all grouped together in a stereotypical noodle soup, they could roll all us hispanics up in a bean burrito. So me and my el salvadorean compadres decided to “accidently” shank any short asian kid who passed by in the nuts. At the end of the day we weren’t racist because they had an equal opportunity to accidently karate chop us in the nuts. Why we decided to aim for the nuts is simple, instantaneous immobilization.

Yet I still enjoy shows like Oreily, his shows are honest in the sense that it’s his honest opinion of certain issues, I don’t consider him a good source of unbiased news, but I bet the majority of the polled did.

He’s better than the Daily Show, which is where a good number of liberals get their news.

they both are actually very similar in the sense that it’s two guys with very strong virtues, beliefs, and their perspectives on current events. It just so happens that one is very serious and the other is, obviously not. Anyone who takes what either say for truth or reality or whatever is a bafoon. Anything on TV should be taken with a big grain of salt.

So what was the point with those numbers?

Fox news is the only conservative news channel

    Majority of Americans are conservative

There is more than one liberal news channel

That doesn’t make them any less bias than the rest, just they are the only ones in the field targeting the conservative base of America, which happens to be huge. Their sucess has nothing to do with their honesty and more to do with their ability to mesh news, opinion, and entertainment together in a nice cable package. Hell they have liberals like me tuning in, not because I find their message the most truthful, but because it’s entertaining and if you notice, the majority of the Fox News lineup is entertainment oriented opinion shows; that look and feel like the actual news on steroids, but you can’t tell the difference, because fox enjoys a good brain washing.

Yet I still enjoy shows like Oreily, his shows are honest in the sense that it’s his honest opinion of certain issues, I don’t consider him a good source of unbiased news, but I bet the majority of the polled did.

    my position is this:

I, a not so typical, yet still pretty liberal Liberal, believe all of the GOP are full of *edited*.

Like wise, I believe the GOP believe I, along with the rest of my affiliates, are also full of *edited*.

To conclude, our government is run by two parties full of *edited*, voted in by the people that apparently don’t know *edited* about *edited*.

I’m loving the double standard. When a newspaper criticized Obama and provided evidence to back it up they were kicked off his airplane, when a TV station makes Palin look stupid on national television it’s considered hilarious.

So now we have to hold a VP canidate(BTW NO PLANE FOR HER LOLOL; SHE LOST) who actively agreed to be interviewed, AND refused to prepare, to the same standards as the president who kicked newspapers off his plane for a reason I don’t care about because it’s HIS (temporary) plane? lol?

I would think the President has a little more power and a standard just a wee bit higher than the moose killer from alaska.

Thanks MP, I did realize that they were biassed but biassed news media destroying and “surprising” a public figure running for the second highest seat in the land is still hilarious :) Especially when it’s a public figure like sarah palin who takes pride with comments like:

    Quote:

“The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s ‘death panel’ so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their ‘level of productivity in society,’ whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil.” –-Sarah Palin, in a message posted on Facebook about Obama’s health care plan, Aug. 7, 2009

“We believe that the best of America is not all in Washington, D.C. … We believe that the best of America is in these small towns that we get to visit, and in these wonderful little pockets of what I call the real America, being here with all of you hard working very patriotic, um, very, um, pro-America areas of this great nation.” –Sarah Palin, speaking at a fundraiser in Greensoboro, N.C., Oct. 16, 2008

“I think on a national level your Department of Law there in the White House would look at some of the things that we’ve been charged with and automatically throw them out.” –Sarah Palin, referring to a department that does not exist while attempting to explain why as president she wouldn’t be subjected to the same ethics investigations that compelled her to resign as governor of Alaska, ABC News interview, July 7, 2009

also here’s your beloved Fox News on Sarah Palin. They don’t call her a moron directly, but do bring to attention her lack of knowledge pertaining to the continents. Direct comment went something like “How could they end up with a running mate who doesn’t know Africa is a continent?” “Gaps in her knowledge.” Donno about you, but that screams retardation to me.

btw, if the term retard offends anyone, feel free to replace with the word “special person”. Republicans and democrats alike can agree Sarah Palin is indeed special :)

Now back to Palin. Robert Gibbs made fun of her by reenacting the whole peeking at the hand notes thing. It’s funny except for the fact that it’s the Presidents Press Secretary doing the jabbing. I want to hear statuses and updates not jokes from the WHPS.

All he’s done since day 1 is bash Fox News, make fun of republicans, downplay serious issues as not important, and flat out lie about what’s going on behind the scenes.

I miss the days of Tony Snow, where questions were answered with real answers, serious issues were discussed openly or told they were being delt with (IE be blunt not cryptic), and the jokes made were in a format so that everyone in the room laughed, not just libs or republicans.

Personally I think it’s a little bit of both. Chaos theory just doesn’t fly for me, something definitely started life up, the course which it is on, however is definitely on a learning, or evolutionary process.

I mean personally in the creationism vs evolution thing I take a middle road as well.

You know in the bible they say God made the world in seven days but I think the term “days” can be taken with a grain of salt just like almost every other time-related incident in the bible (Jesus: “I will return “soon”” where soon is a relative term). Therefore I can kinda believe both ways.

i.e. Big Bang = In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Transformation of the earth from molten madness to a solid with land and water = And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

beginning of evolution, which typically is taught as everything coming from bacteria etc in the water = And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life

then continued evolution bringing land creatures = And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.

finally evolution leads to humans roaming the earth = And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

so see, I can have my cake and eat it too.

    +1

You really want me to do your own research? Spend a few hours googling around, you’ll find it’s about as “scientific” as global warming.

By your logic, if you are taught evolution but have the right to not believe it then it should also be fair to teach creationism. Hey no one said you HAVE to believe it…

i guess you are missing my point.

evolution = charles darwin = dude you learn in science.

creationism = God = The Dude you learn in church. Also in philosophy/theory courses if you missed out.

    see how easy that works?

I like how you uphold people to their own logic and reason but have no reason for your own beliefs. Hell apparantly you have no beliefs at all.

Please rationalize why one believes ONLY in creationism. Oh that’s right you can’t rationalize it, cause it’s based on faith. While evolution hasn’t been proven, it isn’t simply based on faith and if it has so many holes why does the majority of the science community still accept it as the theory to which life has taken?

“the scientific community there is essentially universal agreement that the evidence of evolution is overwhelming, and the scientific consensus supporting the modern evolutionary synthesis is nearly absolute.”
