does this fix the health glitch?
Has nothing to do with the health glitch.
And yes, that’s been fixed as well.

ParticipantYou can always vote to strike the rule.
Public vote controls every aspect of the club and if there’s a rule you guys don’t like don’t hesitate to bring up removing it.

ParticipantIn all fairness the PC teams are random and balanced based on skill. The last few TF2 tournaments were a TON of fun because all the teams were randomized to the same skill levels. One team may have had good offensive players but not good defensive players, or vice versa.
Like I said in the other thread, I don’t think it’s a good idea for consoles because with PC most of the players know each other and even the ones who come from off campus are regulars in the servers so it’s the likelyhood of being on a team with complete strangers is extremely small. Consoles is the exact opposite.

Are PC gamers solely attached to their PCs while console gamers get out and do things?
Please don’t make it sound negative.
But yeah, that’s exactly what I’m saying.

Actually I don’t think we really do have many that play. If we do they’d be on the console side as they’re more likely to be into this sort of thing.

I have a feeling CS16 and CSS will soon be in the “alternative gaming” section

So long as our servers are populated that’s not happening.

ParticipantNone. No one plays this game.
Except you.
You should feel isolated and embarrased.

Meh, so why did it say that when I checked Windows Update? >_
Just go install all the updates.
Idk what your computer is doing but if you still have Vista SP1 and IE7 you aren’t up-to-date.

Updating.

My computer restarts itself periodically for the Windows Updates; the last time it was updated was 09/24/09. It’s set to install new updates every day at 3am. Your reaction is kinda unsettling. @_@
That’s because you’re running Vista SP1 with IE7. You haven’t run WU in about 6 months.

ParticipantVirus-based FTP.
We covered in your first Resnet training session.
Regardless, have you ever seen Windows do that all by itself?
Virus is much more likely than a corrupted partition table.
I try to avoid reformatting. I know you liked to but it’s a hassle for the user and you jumping straight to formatting is just as bad as me jumping to virus. Only if I’m right there’s alot less reinstalling required.

ParticipantI don’t think anyone will take that bet.
That’s like betting CT all when there’s 1 CT and 9 Ts left with the bomb ticking at A. And they all have AWPs. And wallhacks. And Aimbots.

The best advice I can give about the DS is to go buy a CycloDS Evolution. Once you have that go to a DS rom site and download everything that looks interesting. Right now I have 58 DS games, a NES emulator with about 20 games, a SNES emulator with about 30 games, a SGEN emulator with about 15 games, MSN messenger, and the DS Browser. It also has a media player but it’s more or less not easy to use.

ParticipantIt’s a beta for a source game.
Treat all source-engine release estimates like you treat Valve’s release estimates.

Automatically jumping the virus bandwagon is pretty noobish imo. Honestly it’s probably a corrupted partition table or something along those lines. Windows is obviously confused. A backup and clean install is probably the best option and if that doesn’t work a new drive.
So Windows randomly getting and losing HD space means the OS is corrupt or the hard drive is bad?
I think you’ve been working retail too long.

On a side note, the VIP maps seem to be ones that everyone on the server has fun with. Try and get a couple more for me to have access to on fun night?
Lemm said he’d load the entire stock package of maps for the fun night.
I may or may not be there but I’ll be online and available to help should something go wrong or need fixing.

ParticipantIMO random teams creates more problems than it solves.
If you absolutely want to do teams and absolutely want it to be 4v4 then have people sign up in pairs and then group pairs together into a team of 4. This way they can practice and be effective with their friends and it can still be balanced by mixing the pairs you know will be really good with the pairs that aren’t.
I think if you take away the friend aspect of this you’re going to lose players. People want to play with their friends and being tossed onto a team with 3 people you’ve never seen before is a major turn off. Unless they’re all good, then it’s a major win.
I don’t play XBOX or non-PC Halo but the Team Fortress 2 and Left4Dead tournaments are the exact same way and finding a consistent way to create balanced teams that contain people that know each other has taken many LANs to perfect. We have a way now that works pretty *edited* good but I don’t think it would apply to consoles as well.

I know this. I also typed that response when I was still sleeping (well, super groggy); I didn’t think to add (nor did I really think that it needed to be explained) that it’s Sunday and there’s no one available to contact.
Also, I found this:
http://www.vistax64.com/vista-general/59369-hard-drive-free-space-keeps-changing.html
SS&D came up with nothing srs. I’ll do the other scans, too, just in case, but I think this might be worth looking into.
System Restore doesn’t free up HD space unless you turn it off and delete the restore points. It wouldn’t free up the space on its own.
The pagefile uses a changing amount of HD space, true, but not more than a few GB.

ParticipantBest place would probably be General Discussion or Random.
If there’s enough chatter on it to create a sub-section for it we can move all the relevant threads to it later. Don’t let a lack of location hinder the discussion.
