Alas, the sad truth of the matter finally escapes. I have joined the ranks of those who drank and played CSS. God that was fun, lawl.
I don’t really know where to start or what to say on an issue like this, other than to ask what reasoning SGA would have for denying funding to WCU Gaming. The last I had heard, SGA needed x registered members and that was fulfilled.
Insofar as school communities go, this is one of the largest and best handled communities I’ve ever seen.
The events sponsored by the gaming club are massive, with enough diversity that anyone can attend and almost be guaranteed of having a good time.
I am not a student at WCU. I have thought long and hard about attending WCU simply because of the gaming club there though, and the only thing holding me back is the fact that I am so far along in my major I’d have to start over at this point.
It is my sincere hope that this issue can be rectified as quickly as possible.

Stats are back up too and the bug with the in-game messages showing rank/place/top10/etc should be correct now as well.
Honestly, as far as the graphics/system requirements are concerned, yes it will be higher because of the new engine, but, unless Valve goes and redoes the models, maps, etc, I doubt we will see much of an increase in system requirements for CSS.
I’ll try and find some better information out insofar as the system reqs are concerned though. No promises but I’ll try.

I’ve heard from some people in cevo and some of the admins for the league there that css would be moving to the TF2 version of the source engine later this month, new netcode and such. Wonder if this will be coming with it. Hopefully they will fix basic *edited* like sticking through walls, crab walking, objects obstructing bomb defusal and exploiting interp.
There’s never been any doubt about CSS going to the orange box codebase. The only question was when.

Now, we generally dont say much about swearing, but if its repetitive you may get asked to knock it off.
So far as the exact circumstances, we need to hear misterns side, but changing your name to ‘mistern sucks xxxx’ well, I’d personally have changed your name or given you a few hours off with a temp ban. As it stands, it looks like you were just kicked.
If someone tells you to knock it off, generally try to figure out what you were doing, or if unclear, ask.
You can always do ‘teamspeak + @ + message’ or ‘u@ What’d I do?’ That will send the message directly to admins and nobody else.Anyways, we’d love for you to play here, we strive to make this a great place to hang out and game. All we ask is you follow the rules listed on here and on the MOTD. You do have a right to ask what you did if your not sure, but swearing at the admins isn’t something generally tolerated.
Anyways, have fun! If you’ve got anymore questions, feel free to toss em in here.

So if the ‘masses’ vote on a map and it wins, its unpopular? That’s an oxymoron. However, this entire discussion is pretty moot as it stands because the council leader wants voting to be enabled, it works wonderfully on the other two servers we are running, and we dont have this issue.
