A green light on the motherboard/Ethernet port on a PC that won’t turn on generally signals a motherboard problem. May want to check the chassis (case) wiring to the motherboard to make sure nothing wiggled loose on the move.
Thermaltake makes some good 2u cooling solutions. Power supplies are a large generator of heat. They are taking 110/115 volts and turning it into 500-700 watts on a typical gaming machine. Based on the average efficiency of the cheap psus that most people use, I’d say that’s one of the larger heat producers. Then it takes a huge fan and blows all that heat right into a room. Kip pretty much summed the rest of it up.
Get a 19-22 inch Samsung and you are good to go. Just about everyone at the LANs loves my 22 in Samsung widescreen. No dead pixels here on the 1.7 million it has.
From researching for my new build, Ati is getting wonderful reviews on it’s cards and terrible reviews on it’s drivers. And this comes from the guy that wrote DirectX. Argue that man’s reliability.

This is true and while your card should be able to run everything at high settings at 1680×1050 (standard res for a 20-22″ monitor) it might struggle at 1080p.I guess it comes down to what you have room to do.

Karen and I have our 40in Samsung hooked up at 1920×1080 to the media center pc and it looks pretty frakking amazing actually. I can read text and even surf the internet from the couch which is about 7-8 ft away. At 1080p resolution (native to the TV, hello?) the pixels are exactly the right size. I’m using a dvi-hdmi converter. While I agree that it’s overkill and I don’t use it for gaming or word processing, it’s only because it won’t fit on my desk
. I’ve thought about dragging my pc over to the tv several times (Karen will kill because of the mess). The only problem that I could see Major having is his graphics card not being able to push 1080p at any kind of decent frame rate in games. I love taking advice from someone that has used nothing but nvidia cards for years.We had two ATI cards. One got sold because it was crap and the other one sits in a media center that gets turned on once a month. The reason there are drivers every month is because the drivers are *edited* and need to be fixed every month. There is more to driver support than just releasing a driver. As a matter of fact, there have been several complaints at work (compliments of Kstone) about ATI drivers *edited*ing up dual monitor support etc. The nvidia cards run just fine. I’m not an nvidia fan boy by any means, if I see a better product, I’m going to buy it. I don’t consider myself to be a stupid person. I’m done with this. It’s obvious that you are now the all knowing with your new job in networking.

The EU is always trying to sue the companies in the US that are awesome like Microsoft or Intel etc. This is not news. Well…it was like 10 years ago maybe.
Those were gone before half of you even knew WCU Gaming existed. This is just implementing something that was supposed to already be in place.
I believe they are working out purchasing stronger processors. Also, amxx is not fully compatible with the last couple CS 1.6 updates. It needs to be pushed back 2 versions.

Upgrading Tron to dual cores would be money VERY well spent. It’s unfortunate that tron will not take quad core opterons.
Why can’t that server be the main server if that’s what people will join and play. The main server doesn’t HAVE to have a rotation you know…
