Hell, we ought t just throw another LAN in its place. Just throw up a few fliers before next Tuesday and call it a go
*edited* it and I just got us a room to meet in too. Oh well, I had feeling Dell wasnt gonna pull through anyway. Honestly though, I thought a sponsor was actually suppose to help us with things but instead they keep leaving us out to dry. I say they can just go to hell since they dont ever seem to want to help with any *edited* thing.
Yea, it’s games like this that make me wanna sell my Wii. They havent released an even half way decent game in MONTHS (WHAT THE HELL!). If Brawl and RE4 Wii Edition wasnt half way decent, I would have sold it already.
I think this game is gonna be garbage. Just another game for Nintendo to sell to 5 year olds and old people with arthiritis. I mean come on Nintendo, GET YOUR ASSES IN GEAR AND STOP BEING SO *edited* LAZY! The only game Im looking forward to by them in the next 2 to 3 year is Animal Crossing City Folk and The House of the Dead Overkill. Other than that Nintendo’s lineup for a while is gonna be pure *edited*.
If you like old school arcade games, pick up The House of the Dead 2 and 3 Return. MK Armageddon is ok too.
Nice Kipp, Id like to mod my Wii too but I figured it’d be to much of a pain in the *edited* so, I’m just not gonna do it. By the way, what games do u have for the Wii?

The quality isnt all that great but hell, at least I taped it. Ill be putting the Brawl tournament finals up later. I’m definitely gonna be taping the endings of these two tournament from now on.
I agree with Ephiram, the PC guys ought to try what us console people did, it allows for more variety in the games that are played and it could attract more attention to the PC side of the club.
Ill be there with my PS3, Soul Calibur IV and 2 controllers from 2:15 till the time they make us leave lol.
yea because its no where near as competitive as Melee. now dont get me wrong, Brawl can be fun but its so much slower in pace than Melee. Also, combos are near impossible in Brawl since you can infinitely air dodge (which in my personal opinion, was a mistake). Obviously, Brawl is for the casual crowd but thats ok. It doesnt make it not fun, its just not as fun as Melee once you get into the competitive aspect of it. And yes Im sick of Brawl after playing Melee because i started back playing Melee about 2 weeks ago and after playing Melee, Brawl just isnt as fun anymore.

Pretty good actually, we have had about 7-10 people come to learn about Soul calibur IV and it seems as if people are finally taking an interest in competitive Super Smash Bros. Melee. Its about time too because Brawl is honestly starting to lose its appeal to me.
I can see where your coming from Dice but honestly most of the people I talked to that normally do show up to the meetings didnt even know we were having one. I think we should try to advertise the meeting more instead of just posting about it on the forums.
I love the way that people assume that everyone that doesnt show up to the meetings shouldnt matter when it comes to the LAN. These people do have lives outside of the gaming club and just because they cant make it to the meetings shouldnt mean their beliefs and opinions shouldnt be heard. I do agree with you potion on the fact that this can cause problems but the people that fund our club (the people that come to our LANs) should still have a voice in the games there regardless of whether or not they come to the meetings.
If you could mention to the people that the gaming club is holding a sort of mini LAN in Centrals Multi Purpose room to help people get better at the upcoming LAN then that would be great.
I definitely agree with NoDice on the fact that people in this club need to keep an open mind to new game ideas for the LAN. Sure some people might not like the changes but in the long run maybe it will be for the better of the club.
Why dont we just plan out an agenda and keep the noise control to a minimum? Just get people to post th topics we need to dicuss and follow the list. I know this has already been done on the front page of the site but doing a thorough one here would be a good idea.
Im gonna talk to Brenton about it today but I think we have time for at least one more console game for the Wii or PS3 (the stuff I run) because we had two projectors and about 2 or 3 tvs open for free play for about 3 hours and that was after the extra Team Smash tournament I threw together (well all of the credit for this can’t go to me, EYCE helped me out all through out the day).

That game looks interesting but I think it will be hard for them to top Katamari Damacy. Honestly though, the game I’m looking most forward too right now is Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe. Now that concept is going to be interesting. I hope it it turns out to be a great game and not just some gimmicky bs.
