To screengrab, use Windows Media Player to play a dvd. Pause, right click on screen, dvd features, screengrab. At least, thats how I did it.

Majormajormajor’s looks like an action film.

And it’s not that I expected R.O.B. to pwn anything, it’s just that this game was made with every intention to balance every character.

I think Fox was the most unbalanced character in Melee. No matter who you played against, you always had the advantage. I haven’t done much with Fox in Brawl, but I hope they fixed him.

A friend of mine says ROB works great. I’m going to give him the benefit of a doubt until I unlock the character and try it out myself. Meanwhile, Lucario has become my new best friend. He’s kinda like Mewtwo, but he can tapdance on people’s heads! Also, I think Lucas works much better than Ness.

I am considering running for Treasurer. I looked at the description in the constitution, but I’d like to know some more of the details.

Guys, guys! Lets not turn this into another fight. We should find something safer to talk about. I’ll choose a topic:

I’ve been playing Melee for about six years now. I think it will take some time for me to get used to Brawl.

Playing as Olimar is interesting. Training mode will be invaluable for him. Here’s something fun: in then character selection screen, check out Olimar’s different outfits. You can play as black Olimar. Racial diversity has finally come to Nintendo.

Everybody loves updates: I’ve unlocked Marth, Lucario, and Ganondorf. I think Ganondorf has a new voice actor. With every attack, it sounds like he’s throwing up.

Dogs are, generally, more loyal than cats. There is far more independance in cats and more of an assumption of ownership. What I mean is: cats sort of assume they own your house. It is in their nature. A cat assumes it is your friend; a dog assumes it is your friend and obediant underling. Dogs usually show more affection, but cats are capable of a lot of affection as well.

They are equal, but different types of pets.

True, only the Sony Playstation didnt even exist yet (or in the case of the later games, it had just been released). That’s not exactly fair. Same for the early Metal Gear games.

Fair enough. But the GBA, DS, and PSP existed at the same time, Square’s involvment with Sony didn’t stop them from rereleasing the first six FF game on Nintendo’s handhelds (admitedly, I and II were also rereleased for the PSP). It is very wise for a first-party developer to court the affections of a third-party developer and get some sweet exclusives out of the deal. That is a recipe for success. However, it is also wise to understand that third-party developers are very independent and, in the long run, may very well jump ship.

    Several examples:

    Square: Nintendo-Sony

    Enix: Nintendo-Sony-Nintendo

    Konami: Nintendo-Sony

    Capcom: Nintendo-Sony

    Sega: Sega-Ninteno

After all, all major/numbered Final Fantasy titles are on the Sony consoles not to mention a host of non Final Fantasy rpgs/adventures/whatever else they’ve cooked up with rpg elements.

The first six Final Fantasies and first six Dragon Warriors were all originally on Nintendo consoles. In recent years, all those FF titles were remade on Nintendo consoles. You are correct: Square and Konami have made more money for Sony than Nintendo over the last decade. But, if I were a big shot, working for one of the first-party developers, I would be suspicious of a third-party’s loyalty. After all: http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/characters/snake.html

To ellaborate on a point I was making earlier:

First parties (Nintendo, Sony) are like monarchs or aristocrats. They have all the power and everybody wants a piece.

Second parties (Rare, HAL Labs) are like concubines. They work exclusively for a single person, but are still considered a totally seperate person. It is certainly possible that, sometime in the future, they will work for another. Once this happens, there’s no going back. You are dead to your former lover.

Third parties (Capcom, Konami) are like street walkers. They will give it up to anybody with the money. Oh, when you’re with her, she’s all like, “You’re the best! I will never love another!” but you know it’s a crock. Fifteen minutes after you leave, she’ll be saying the same thing to some other guy. What’s worse, you have to check your pockets to make sure she didn’t steal your *edited* wallet. It dosen’t matter how many times you visit her or how much money you give her, when she’s with all her friends, she’ll probably joke about your sexual prowess. *edited*s!

One good thing about 3v3 or 4v4 is that there is that it isn’t likely that only one person has any idea what is going on. In 2v2, a good player can be tripped up by a novice partner. Still, I think there could be problems with groups as big as three or four. What if some people don’t show up and you have to get together three new people to join a registered player with no partners? This isn’t an issue for a group with a small, even number of members like two.
