    Nice!

So, that’s the date of the next LAN…

I started playing it at my friends house Saturday and played until right after the battle of Screaming Mantis (last act of the game).

Thus far I feel like I’m watching a very long, but exciting, movie that is broken up by the occasional section of gameplay to keep me from getting too annoyed. If you are a fan of the story and the series, then the cut scenes are awesome. Only a couple of them feel like they are dragging on and usually by the point they’re nearly over or offer some sort of distraction like being able to control the Mk. II during the briefing. MGS4 also starts answering all the questions without providing too many brand new ones, so if you’ve been waiting for the answers this will give them to you. (Also, if you dont at least have some idea of who the Patriots are after the last 2 games you probably weren’t paying very close attention. Because I wasnt too surprised when they finally explained how the Patriots was started. Then again, I’m a rabid fan of the series and make sure I pat attention to every detail in order to try and answer things.) Also, the CODECs usually have movies added on now, which makes it sooooo much better then sitting in place for 45 minutes looking at green tinted images or black and white photos.

While sneaking is almost entirely optional I really don’t think the action segments are that bad. Especially if you are used to how it was in the past games when things got tough. I find myself, more often than not, blasting away at things instead of sneaking and I’ve been having almost no trouble at all with the controls. Sure, they arent as good as a game that is supposed to be a 3rd person shooter would be, but I’ve certainly played worse.

Anyway, I’m looking forward to going over and beating it finally and seeing the end of the series.

Meh, I played Dead Rising. I KNOW there is way cooler stuff to do then what they showed. I liked the gumball machine though.

Turned out something went all wobbly during the move. I dunno what it was but my friend looked at it and pretty much pinpointed it.

It’s working just fine now. Thanks!

I loved the campaign and the coop campaign in the first. Multiplayer was fun too, but it was the single player I was drawn too.

As long as they keep it up in 2, I’ll be happy. Though I’d like to see it be bigger, explodyier, grittier…that’s what makes it fun! And that’s what it looks like they are doing.

YES! He’s way cooler than Nightmare. At least the new Nightmare. Siegfried being normal now means Nightmare is lame.

By the way, is Mitsurugi getting his samurai armor back in IV? I hated his costumes in 3.

Too be fair. I decided it was pretty pretentious and shut down on the whole ‘viewing the article as unbiased’ after the first few paragraphs. So, my dislike for the writing probably stems from that and honestly may be a little unfair.

I’ve only seen one episode, and it was was of the most disgusting things I’ve ever seen. Horrible molds and build-up of potentially deadly….things. Truly frightening. About as frightening as some of the stuff I see on You Are What You Eat, if you’ve caught any episodes of that.

    Ah, God Save the BBC.

Oh, I know that. And I’m not. I’m just not amused or impressed. It’s mainly a barb at the writing itself, I think it’s kind of crappy, but eh.

Also, if Bargain Hunt is what I think it is, that host is a crazy man. A very well dressed crazy man.

    Edit:

    This guy

He was far better dressed the time I saw it.

Satire or propganda. I wasnt a big fan. Then again I rarely am a big fan of using overwhelming, overdone religious imagry to make a point. Well, at least I should say it hasnt amused me in propaganda since the 1930’s and 1940’s.

The only cool part of that was the fact that Jeremy Clarkson, one of the hosts of Top Gear, is at the top of the page.

Anyway, propaganda that poorly written doesnt deserve to exists.

I’ve read this before somewhere else. The best part was that I used to do the exact same thing with my M&M’s. Only the last remaining M&M was devoured with no care towards what benefit it could bring further candykind.

Yeah, PC support for it was almost nothing. I’m not sure if it would even be a popular choice for the console side of things. It’s worth, as are most things, bringing up at a meeting though I suppose.

You should put one of these in it:

Though you’ll need a power supply of roughly 1.21 jigawatts to keep it running.

Agreed, System Link my freshman year was one of the most incredible things I’ve ever seen. Also, one of the most fun. It even dragged me to a halo tourney in the UC, something I wouldnt have done it I hadnt been playing on System Link so much that year.

If someone doesnt beat me too it, I’ll whip a thread up a little later.

I actually followed the development of this game for a long time. I thought it sounded like such a cool game.

    Then I never played it.

Also. SG-1 rocks. Season 8 was like the last true O’Neill season…

Of course this is a valley. Havent you noticed our very silly weather patterns compared to the rest of this region? Rain when it snows….heat when it rains…etc etc.

Valley ballyhoo is a fine idea, btw.

It’s not console specific, but the way Shae and I ran it was based on what we knew best. She covered Nintendo games when it came down to LAN time and I ran the 360 tourneys.
