We have new elections every semester, no?
Either way, I know I plan to run again. I like the position and now that I’ve done it once I have a lot more I want try.

I imagine we’re going to be doing the same thing, voting for a Console Pres and VP (unless somethings changing that I’m not aware of). So, if you officially wanted to run Smash you’d have to run for either of those, but you’d also have to do other stuff besides smash. That, or volunteer to help run smash to the Pres and VP. I personally know help is appreciated, though I kept to everything other than Nintendo as VP since I not very familiar with those tourneys overall.
Shae has helped run the last few, actually, because she’s very familiar with various Smash tourney rules and what not from past experience. So, you’d be talking to her about that if she stays on I imagine.

As for running the tourney, that falls to the officer in charge. In the case of the last LAN, me. Though help from the participants was most appreciated and vital to the success of the tourney I think.
Two rooms, same day would be far better in my opinion.
Seperating the LAN into two days makes it miserable, I think. We’d lose the console/PC players in some cases, though whether that’s a pro or a con for some I don’t know.
I think for now, we just need a better set up for that TV corner to accommodate the equipment and the absurd amount of people that congregate around the area. We could even cut out some of the PC table area and move into it since we havent been using all of the tables for PC’s in the past two or so LANs.
I dunno, throwing ideas out there. As for noise, it’s manageable. And honestly the loudest part of the consoles last time was the PS3 folks…which hopefully will NOT be a problem next time.

Which is why I like being near ammo when I defend something because I’m usually sending out little bursts of flame either into the room itself or at anyone who walks in. And I just like doing it for fun…he is a PYRO after all.
I dont think there is any one ‘best’ class.
I used to prefer the medic and the pyro. Then achievements came out and everybody jumped on the bandwagon. And I hate playing a class when too many people are already using it, so I’ve resorted to doing other things when I play.
When you’re CL everyone thinks they’ve got the right idea to populate a no pop server. Just because you think it’s the right idea doesnt necessarily mean it is going to work or that is the direction the server has to go.
Though opinions are always valued, sure, and there are always ways to improve even when things seem just right.

I’ll stick with the Firefox I have for a while. At least until FF3 is out of beta and a few versions in.
And along with Major…how do you get rid of that *edited* AOL search? I miss when Firefox was defaulted to google and auto directed you to pages. But, no. One day I install the *edited* new AIM and the whole thing usurps my computer with a classic 1939 blitzkrieg.

I still dont believe its a problem of speaking loud and clear. I practically shouted using the microphone. It’s just that people either don’t pay attention or don’t listen at all.
Turning up the mic might be a nice solution to any problems though.

It’s a good idea. We should try to see if we can snag the Central multipurpose room again. It was roomy and fairly well equipped.
I’d say after the first two or three weeks, yeah? Give people time to settle in and figure things out.
I honestly think it’d either look better minus the ‘cake is a lie’ or in another font, but that is still really nifty.

And yeah, Portal in the right and Hl2/Valve in the left will probably have the most effect. Though you could go with the opposite of what you currently have and it wouldnt look bad. Hl2 top left/portal bottom right. And perhaps consider making the logos a little smaller so more focus is on that tasty piece of lie.
