Participant“And it came to pass, in the eighth year of the reign of the evil Bush the Younger (The Ignorant), when the whole land from the Arabian desert to the shores of the Great Lakes had been laid barren, that a Child appeared in the wilderness.
The Child was blessed in looks and intellect. Scion of a simple family, offspring of a miraculous union, grandson of a typical white person and an African peasant. And yea, as he grew, the Child walked in the path of righteousness, with only the occasional detour into the odd weed and a little blow.”

ParticipantThe only cool part of that was the fact that Jeremy Clarkson, one of the hosts of Top Gear, is at the top of the page.
Anyway, propaganda that poorly written doesnt deserve to exists.

ParticipantIt wasn’t propaganda; it was satire. I thought it was clever and well written.

Hell yeah!

Satire or propganda. I wasnt a big fan. Then again I rarely am a big fan of using overwhelming, overdone religious imagry to make a point. Well, at least I should say it hasnt amused me in propaganda since the 1930’s and 1940’s.

ParticipantIf you are trying to compare WWII-era propaganda to this satire about the Obama campagn, the only response I can think of is “Whaaaa–?” Propaganda uses religous imagery to persuade; satire uses religious imagery to make fun of those doing the persuading. They have opposite purposes, so it is illogical to act like they are one-and-the-same. Bottom line: It’s a joke. Don’t take it so seriously.
Also, I like Top Gear, but I’m more partial towards Bargain Hunt.

ParticipantOh, I know that. And I’m not.
I’m just not amused or impressed. It’s mainly a barb at the writing itself, I think it’s kind of crappy, but eh.Also, if Bargain Hunt is what I think it is, that host is a crazy man. A very well dressed crazy man.
Edit:
This guy

He was far better dressed the time I saw it.

ParticipantFor the record: most of the comments I’ve read about the artical have been very possitive. I guess the writing only seems bad if you disagree with the message.
Anyone here seen “How Clean is Your House?” There was this one episode where this guy had mushrooms growing in his bathroom.

ParticipantToo be fair. I decided it was pretty pretentious and shut down on the whole ‘viewing the article as unbiased’ after the first few paragraphs. So, my dislike for the writing probably stems from that and honestly may be a little unfair.
I’ve only seen one episode, and it was was of the most disgusting things I’ve ever seen. Horrible molds and build-up of potentially deadly….things. Truly frightening. About as frightening as some of the stuff I see on You Are What You Eat, if you’ve caught any episodes of that.
Ah, God Save the BBC.
